They do a lot of no till around here so they can crop the rolling hills without too much erosion. Small vegetable grower grow organic, but it hard to do no the scale of most of the large farms, sometimes thousands of acres. Glad you have good land, ours is wearing out or being put into subdivisions for houses.
I think it mostly used for large row crops like corn and soybean here. It allows them to spray herbicides freely without killing the money crop. You wouldn't believe how well the weeds grow here.
