Somewhat similar here Kaybee only 30-years for me, and all I built was a local retail business. But the dedication and the sacrifices were similar. No cancer fortunately. I've achieved a certain amount of financial security but it came at a cost. I hope you beat the cancer.
Let's bring some politics into the tuna thread. Facts: Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s home district includes San Francisco.
Star-Kist Tuna’s headquarters are in San Francisco, Pelosi’s home district.
Star-Kist is owned by Del Monte Foods and is a major contributor to Pelosi.
Star-Kist is the major employer in American Samoa employing 75% of the Samoan workforce.
Paul Pelosi, Nancy’s husband, owns $17 million dollars of Star-Kist stock.
In January, 2007 when the minimum wage was increased from $5.15 to $7.25, Pelosi had American Samoa exempted from the increase so Del Monte would not have to pay the higher wage. This would make Del Monte products less expensive than their competition’s.
Last week when the huge bailout bill was passed, Pelosi added an earmark to the final bill adding $33 million dollars for an ‘economic development credit in American Samoa’.
Pelosi has called the Bush Administration ‘corrupt’.
Those type of stories must not be showing up in the news. But I'll guarantee you that I am not linking fake or embellished stories. And I actually like Ali and Said and enjoy their input. But I don't think any new culture should be able to go into a country and demand they change their customs to suit the newcomers. And everything I've been reading leads me to believe there is going to be a strong pushback, and it's not being driven by anything posted on CS.
Well I'm glad you know my opinion on Muslims since I don't recall ever giving it. All I did for the most part was link to articles. So please tell me what you think my opinion is.
Wow Rachie. the only reason Riz even started this thread was to somehow suggest anyone who has a different opinion on Muslim immigration than he does somehow needs a physiatric exam. Anyone that can't see that is probably unlikely to be able to pass one if themselves.
Go back and look at post 102. I didn't accuse you of anything I simply posted your exact quote from another thread. Are you denying that you made it? Here it is again for your convenience.
I think you're the one that needs testing. Your memory is failing badly.
Now I know where Obama got it. He considered us sheep.
"This concept of leading from behind appears in the news fairly often. The term and the concept have found their most academic expression in an idea put forth by Linda Hill of the Harvard Business School. She claims it originated from reading Nelson Mandela’s autobiography when he likened leaders who shepherd their flocks from behind. Hill’s concept is that of collaborative effort within teams who take responsibility for projects and goals."
If it hadn't been removed from the rest of the post it would have been clear that it was a personal attack on a specific individual. There are very few absolute, provable truths on CS, there are many different opinions of what the truth actually is.
But honestly Riz when a man of your age and intelligence resorts to calling names it only serves to step on your message. I expect better from you. Try to improve yourself.
Rainbow may be a lot of things but stupid she is not. She may be a provocateur extraordinaire, but she knows her subject, and she bases her opinions on a life that began in an oppressive regime, she is trying to help others avoid. She also has a terrific sense and it is very obvious to those of us not blinded by hate. You by comparison seem to be sorely lacking in this department.
Ever hear of the Golden Rule Riz? You might give it a try sometime. And remember you can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar.
RE: France abusing (child)migrants.
Just tell me what countries they are coming from.
