Well, I loved rockmusic, always, it wasn't till I got about 11 I think when my brother came home with some metal records, and I was sold to the Still got other music here, still buy other music too. The Hollies was the first band I ever liked and still like them, The Police, Terence Trent d'Arby, Talk Talt, The Cure, Level 42, Duran duran, Soft cell, to name a few. But hardrock/metal always will be my fav. With Alice Cooper as the greatest of them all. Even with his second band The Hollywood vampires (also featuring Johnny Depp and Joe Perry). Yesterday I got a 5-cd box of the Hollies and a cd of Ryan Roxie (Guitarplayer Alice Cooper) in my mailbox.
No, I think they are Swedish. First time I heard of this band was when they where playing before Saxon came on stage in Amsterdam, it was the 40th birthday of the drummer, I believe. And they made a huge impression on me.
Another song I really love is this one:
Maybe now you understand why I want to subscribe their sound as positive metal. This band just makes me happy.
there are a lot of people having it coming. Actually, one of my revengeprojects is in work right now, another will follow at the end of the year. And funpart is they'll never know who is behind it all.
Well I never met a ghost, but lots of people are claiming they have seen one. Maybe I ain't sensitive enough to see one. Well I can say I don't believe in ghosts, but if 1.000.000.000 people are claiming they saw the easter bunny, who I am to say it doesn't excist?
Oh, there are also great European bands, like Saxon, Judas Priest, U.D.O., Black Sabbath, Yes, Accept, Helloween, Rammstein, even the Dutch bands Helloïse and Vengeance. Or how about Scandinavian metalband Masterplan, their style I gave it a different name, I cal it positive metal, cause it's such a positive sound. But the thing is that there are some great USA-bands that almost every metalhead likes, Anthrax, Slayer, Megadeth, TestAmenT and Suïcidal Tendencies are the most important. Metallica stopped making great music after Cliff Burton died, their fourth album ...And justice for all was already less than the first three albums.
P.s. Also love the Russian band Aria, and Canadian bands Rush and Annihilator.
well, when I look around in the world and see all the mistakes people are making with polluting the earth, doing useless jobs, killing animals just for fun, supermarkets that has to throw food away daily, then, yes, I live in my own reality, coz I don't want to join in the other reality, the reality that the world is better off without people.
Oh no, not Without temptation with their little children rock. They're screwing up every metalfest with their appearance. They don't belong on metalfests. And the most annoying and frustrating thing is that when I go to several festivals in a year, 9 of the 10 times they're also there, sometimes even between two great bands I want to see from close by. One time they were playing in between the Anthrax concert and the Alice Cooper concert, Anthrax is one of my favourite bands, Alice is my favorite musician for over 40 years now. During Without temptation I stood with my middle finger sky high in the frontline, the guitar player with the blue hair saw it, and walked to the other side of the stage. Haven't seen him no more that concert. lol.
They call them self within temptation, but without temptation is the correct name for this band.
Lol, I bet this was the wet dream of many young boy.
But there were many great french chansons, like Gerard Lenorman - Voici les Cles / La ballade des gents heureux Julien Clerk - Paris s'eveille / This melodie Dave - Dansez Maintenant
In the Netherlands in the 70's most dutch people went to France for their holidays, and we had these album series Vive le France 1, 2,3 and 4 with a lot of French Chansons, they were quite popular in the Netherlands then.
