I think we all will go out with a big bang, nuclear war. The sun expanding/becoming a black hole is expected over more than one million years from now. Or maybe there will be so much overpopulation that we can't grow enough food for everybody, then there might be a total war on food, people fighting in stores etc.
well, people change in a way that walks hand in hand with technology. Not all children goes to pubs or drink alcohol, well, believe me, I have had a lot of hangovers during my youth. 20 glasses was minimal, now I get an hangover from 8 small cans. So I try to stop by 6 cans, usually. But due to corona and no possibility to do much work I am bored and start drinking more again. Some people never learn. But I bet in the future there will be some technology that helps you to avoid an hangover. Actually the technology is already there, don't drink. But every generation has it's habits, his type of popmusic, this is the generation of the Ipad and smartphones, which causes damage to the eyesight already. My generation might be the generation of the computers, but also videorecorders, taperecorders, walkman's etc. The genration before me was mostly the generation building up the country after the war.
But bad habits never seem to change. Only criminal behaviour becomes more brutal by the years, seems to be the criminals want to be worse than their ancestors, or maybe it's things they learn on the internet, television etc.
Everyone who rapes, doesn't matter if it's a girl/woman, child or animal, murderers and terrorists. Traitors, well, it depends on what country you live in. And nobody has a choice about where he or she is born. And if you are frauding with the taxes, are you a traitor then too? And those who absolutely don't deserve mercy are politicians causing a war, costing the lives of 1000's where they are safe at home. Well, politicians who lie, like our own dutch prime-minister Mark Rutte don't deserve mercy either. He should go, and best is if he has to leave the country.
About murderers, when you are drunk and you start driving your car, are you a murderer then too? In my opinion Yes. We had a rich family father and son went to the pub and then they went home doing a streetrace, the father drove a porsche, his son an other sportscar. The father crashed into the car of a young girl with at least 150 km per hour where 50 is allowed. The girl died after a week fighting for her life. The father got 5 years in prison and 5 years afterwards he isn't allowed to drive any vehicle outside a bicycle.
I would have punished him in a different way. Take all his money and possessions and give them to the parents of the killed girl. He has shown he can't deal with much money so let him live like a pauper, I bet the parents of the girl will do some good and thoughtfull things with the money. It's the contempt of the rich to the poor and normal average people we've got to deal with, make them poor and learn them some respect. I think that is the best punishment for these type of people.
Yesterday the pope said in his easterspeech that fighting war is inhumane and a crime against humanity during this virus. Well, I think the pope is an idiot, for fighting wars is always a crime against humanity. Political leaders decide to go to war, and the common people may be slaughtered while the leaders are safe in their own homes.
Well a friend of mine used to go to the pub in Hilversum and then on his way to home he had to cycle over the cyclepath over the hayfield where cows were grazing. He was so drunk he fully rode against a cow and fell on his face. The cow hardly reacted. I wonder what the cow was thinking? Or was he used to those drunk idiots?
