RE: Breaking News

frustrated frustrated frustrated Mark Rutte stays on.
A motion of distrust was voted away with 78-72. There also was a motion of disapproval and every party supported that one. Mark Rutte now wants to rebuild the damaged trust, but I can't imagine which party will go into a coalition with a lying prime-minister. A minister who lies about what has been said or who can't remember things when he is in problems isn't fit to lead this country. Wonder what will the international press say about this, and how leaders of other countries look to the Netherlands now.

Milk. Even if you are about 5 meters from the pan you'll notice the milk is boiling over.

RE: Breaking News

p.s.: It's not the first time Mark Rutte can
t remember things, every time when he has problems he say: I can't actually remember, well this time they ain't gonna take it no more.

RE: Breaking News

Breaking news it says. well the breaking news is that dutch minister-president Mark Rutte has lied and tonight almost every member of the parliament will vote him out of the government for they can't trust him anymore. And no it's not an april's-fool.
Mark Rutte from the dutch liberal party VVD saw his last government collapse over the fact that our minister Pieter Omzigt found out our tax-system has been discriminating and ruïned lots of families. This started shortly after the dutch media discovered people from Poland, morocco and Bulgaria were frauding the dutch tax-system, so the director of the tax-office said everybody from several countries should be marked as frauding people. And they had to pay back a lot of money, money they could claim and they couldn't pay back. So people divorced, people lost their jobs, houses and cars, children were even send to orphanages.
Now we had elections two weeks back and Mark Rutte won again. So he was talking to two informators to create a new government and he said that Pieter Omzigt should get a different position so he couldn't cause trouble anymore. Then one of the informators went home later that evening and there was a note sticking out of the map she was holding saying: Pieter Omzigt, position elsewhere. And it was filmed by the media. Mark Rutte said he couldn't actually remember he had talked about Omzigt, but today the evidence was there.

Well, a lot of people would love to see him go. And that moment is near.

RE: What Could Make People More Desperate ?

It's simple, within now and 50-60 years I will be dead, so I've got everything to lose, on the other hand, I got nothing to lose, for I know it's coming anyhow, whatever can I do. Only accept that all good things end once. Actually I hardly survived meningitis when I was 13, so I have a nearly dead experience, I ain't afraid for it anymore.

Assendelft - The Netherlands. Funny name, for we have two cities in the Netherlands, Assen and Delft, so you would expect that this name means that it is situated somewhere between Assen and Delft, but Delft is about 100 km tot the south and Assen about 200 km to the Northeast. Actually the name is translated from german and it meant something like dug up by pirates. Guess the city used to be situated along the Southern-sea (now knowm as The Ijsselmeer (IJssel-lake). The dutch have made land on large parts of this former southern sea. IJssel sounds a bit like Isle by the way, but it's the name of a river between the Rhine and the IJsselmeer, from Arnhem to Kampen.

RE: This Takes The Cake

well, not touching things from outside the store. But how's that for customers.
When I come in to buy some beer and I pick some cans, but then see a better brand or a cheap deal, I might return the ones I allready picked up, touching them with my hands, and if I have covid and another customer comes in and picks up the cans I just put back, he will have covid too.
So theneverybody should wear rubber gloves in the supermarket, but wait, if I have covid, I need my one hand to put the glove on the other hand, so the outside of that glove is also infected.

Conclusion: There is no solution. Social distancing won't help, goin' in quarantaine when you have covid, well not everybody notices he or she has covid. Only way to avoid getting it is get supplies for a year at your house and stay indoors for a year, but who can live such a life?

If it isn't the guns, why we then often hear these stories of mass-shootings from the VS, but not in Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal etc.?

Only thing we fear overhere is a terrorist attack, well that can happen anywhere. Okay, In the Netherlands we have had 2 incidents for I can remember, one in the mid-70's in Delft in a pub called 't Koetsiertje (little coachman), and one 10 years ago in the Ridderhof in Alphen aan de Rijn. The first one was a turkish guy who had problems with some of the visitors, the other was a twisted guy who shouldn't have the permition to have any gun at all.

Okay, we have shootings regularly, but usually it's criminals shooting at their rivals. Innocent people don't have much to fear overhere.
