yeah start placing the value of human life over an inanimate object...if only you pro gun people fought as hard for people not to be gunned down as you do for your damn guns...maybe there would be less victims.....
compassion is a good thing...but here's the thing all the compassion in the world isn't gonna change somebody....compassion speaks to the person giving it and doesn't necessarily do a thing for the person receiving it....while killers either remain in prison or out on parole there is always a danger of more victims....other inmates...guards and the potential is there for escape.....we get it wrong all the time by paroling killers who go on to kill again...its Russian roulette....will they or wont they?....why should a killers life take priority over innocent victims?.....why does society have to take responsibility for codling people unwilling to take their own responsibility?.....its all well and good to start with prevention but that doesn't deal with the now and the killers who are among us now that we cant go back and teach...they are who they are and a great many still have the urge to kill....they aren't all insane nor are they all mentally ill otherwise they would all be found not guilty by reason of insanity....I think its a form of societal self defense in that by executing a person you are ensuring there can be no other victims....it becomes the killer or innocent victims....kill or allow to kill....pick one......
