Dublin is between Cincinnati and Cleveland . . . not very powerful NFL teams in either city; GO BEARS!!! Not sure I would be in a very good mood either if that’s the case at this time of the season and their records. The Bears are not much better . . . sigh. I digress, again . . .
Yes, gun laws should be abandoned and stop making new ones. Enforcement is an obvious issue. I think new printers can make plastic guns.
Chicago is a mess. A few laws in Chicago that makes weapons non existent . . . yet 4000 gun related instances in 2016 and near 800 deaths.
Spend the money making life better for people.
Uhm, Hilary made the mess in the South China Sea and was also responsible as Secretary of State, with Obama, for the mess in Benghazi. She will probably run again in 2020 . . .
I did not mean to imply that there is a national registry. I was just trying to say there are a lot of guns. Berry narrowed the thread down to what I was addressing. The people who get guns legally in the US have dotted the i s and crossed their t s. A man was recently killed in the US who was ordered to surrender his weapons. I think the process he followed to purchase his weapons was legit as well. A new law or ordinance in his city required him to surrender his weapons? Didn’t t go well.
My neighbor south of Chicago had the means of making his own rounds. We used to go to the cemetery and put speakers on the hood of his car and broadcast a cassette he had of crows fighting an owl. The crows left their roosts by the hundreds. We used his various assortment of weapons to shoot them down. I have a loss of hearing in my right ear from not using ear plugs and the ping of a M-16. I don’t own any weapons, but I know a lot of Americans who do. They are going to be hard pressed to surrender their weapons. There’s just a culture. There are militias across the country and doomsday types that are loaded for bear . . .
Sorry about those Browns. Good luck with the new female coach?
There has come a time in the USA to be proactive in taking steps to restrict all to access of guns, at the very least a tightening up of laws to availability.
There wil always be a black market for weaponry, though there needs to be a starting point.
What do you suggest Badude? Remain with the status quo? That sure is proving a hit with the number of mass shootings in America on the increase.
New legislation costs millions. The NRA spends millions on Lobbyists and Congressmen and Senators, etc. . . . to block new legislation. Back and forth and back and forth . . . nothing changes. A waste of money. I think the Depatment of Defense will spend $800,000,000,000.00 next year alone on their guns. Not going to be successful in changing the culture. Lots of hungry and homeless. MILLIONS more than there are who are victims of gun violence. Borrow $1,000,000,000.00 from the DOD next year. Target a city like Chicago or L.A. Feed people. Get them off the streets. Give them needed medical treatment. Provide real education opportunities. Improve quality of life. Introduce a crazy notion like social inclusion to a greater portion of the population. I bet people who feel included with better things to do lowers the number of incidents of gun violence . . . a lot. If it works, try a few more cities . . .
Not sure that will resolve the issue completely. Never happen anyway. Not hard to see WHY people are violent. Address those issues. Take the guns. A person will use a knife. Give a person food to use the knife on . . . probably won’t be hungry enough to get a gun?
Every male in Norway, I think, has a gun in the home provided by the military for additional service if it becomes necessary. Guns don’t seem to be a problem. I think they pay 50% tax or something, too. Social programs. Redistribution of Wealth, I know . . . but maybe gun violence and the amount a person is taxed is inversely related . . .
If tighter gun law restrictions were implemented in America resulting in less availability and distribution of guns, there would be a dramatic decrease in gun related deaths.
It’s not rocket science, just sheer blardy common sense.
The case for a dramatic increase in gun related deaths . . .
There are more registered guns in the US than there are pets. There are more pets than people. There are 340,000,000 + people. That’s a lot of registered guns. I bet there are multi millions more unregistered guns. In Texas you can shot a person breaking into your neighbor’s house as well. When the police show up, your gun better be registered. Implementing restrictions on the availability and distribution of guns might help against the people who bother to obey the law and register their guns. MS13 doesn’t register guns. I think law-abiding citizenry shoot and kill far less people than the criminals. If laws against guns are passsed, the number of illegal guns becomes a lot greater. They can’t police the multi million number of illegal guns as it is . . . If laws were successful is stopping the introduction of ever legal or illegal gun in the US, you still have to implement new laws to recover all the guns that are already in the US . . . good luck with that.
When I am alone I sit and dream And when I dream the words are missing Yes I know that in a room so full of light That all the light is missing But I don't see you with me, with me Close up the windows, bring the sun to my room Through the door you've opened Close inside of me the light you see That you met in the darkness Time to say goodbye Horizons are never far Would I have to find them alone Without true light of my own with you I will go on ships over seas That I now know No, they don't exist anymore It's time to say goodbye When you were so far away I sit alone and dream of the horizon Then I know that you are here with me, with me Building bridges over land and sea Shine a blinding light for you and me To see, for us to be Time to say goodbye Horizons are never far Would I have to find them alone Without true light of my own with you I will go on ships over seas That I now know No, they don't exist anymore It's time to say goodbye So with you I will go On ships over seas That I now know No, they don't exist anymore It's time to say goodbye So with you I will go... I love you
Give an American guy a chance . . . as long as a guy can appreciate who he is looking at that should be given some consideration? I’m naturally drawn to your lips in this photo. Simply beautiful. Your slender neck gets much attention, too, I bet. Your eyes are wonderful as well. Ahh . . . your hair and your breasts are kind of like feminine hallmarks (do it for me, too, by the way) . . . must make women jealous? Nice to know what people might miss about you? A guy should take interest in your opinions on matters. I’ve been reading a lot of the messages you have created that are in the forums. You really poor your heart out or give a lengthy amount of support to someone who seems to be looking for a person to talk to. I mean just everything going on behind those eyes. Windows to the soul, they say, but the experience you obviously have and the length of some of your messages shows your compassion for people . . . and a remarkable amount of intelligence!!
