RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

A recent survey of FOX......the question was "did President Obama evolved position on Gay marriage help or hurt him?"

7000 responded. 87% said it hurt him. 8% said it helped him. 5% were undecided.

Like I said the plank that DEMs moderates will use to dive off the good ship Obama......

RE: Confirmation: The rich don't create jobs!

Help me out Ooby. Maybe I am one of the slower cards in the deck.

am trying to figure out. If the 1% wealthy pay Obama's increased taxes ($500b-$600b) over the next 10 years. How does that help the middle class that are still paying the standard 35% Federal IRS tax rate on their middle incomes for those 10 years? Also having increased capitol gains taxes on any stock or home sales that they have.

Seem to me, that the middle class under the Obama tax plan will pay as much as if the wealthy did not pay the increased tax rate. Maybe even more with those capitol gains taxes.

The only ones benefiting here is those that don't pay any taxes that will get more benefits and the FED government that gets more revenues.

Like I said, maybe I am one of the slower cards in the deck.....

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

Here in Florida, we recently had a event that reminds me much of Obamaeconomics.

We have airboats and their captains, that take tourists out into the Florida back areas and everglades. Often when the get out of eyesight of the law, the airboats captian will feed the local wildlife to give the tourist a show.

In this case the alligator that was being fed a fish, decided that fish to be only a first course and took the airboat captain hand with it. They rushed the captain to the hospital. Hunted down the gator trying to recover his hand. Nada. The gator was not hanging around to cough up the hand.

Back at the Hospital, they suctured the mans limb and reported the event to the local law. Who in turned reported it to the Florida State fish and game agency. Who gave the man several days of rest before arresting him for feeding alligators.

Obamaeconomics is like that.

You say how? Say you have a profitable business, that you built. You want it to grow. So to grow your business, you begin to do marketing and other activities on the net. Well because Obama has destroyed the growth rate of the US economy, this is very hard to do. If you have online business, 2/3 of the states are about to place a sales tax on your online sales. Why? Because Obama economics has reduced their tax bases.

So the small business person is always placing his hand closer into the jaws of the market to make money. Sell more and get taxed more.
Like the airboat captain feeding the gator.

So finally you get bit. Make a deal that goes wrong or have some major unforeseen expenses jump up on you. Or a environmental issue pop up like a leaking pipe in Wisconsin that release 1200 gallon of crude to the utter dismay of the government. The Gator just leap out the water to feed.

Do we see a FED government there today that will help you out of the problem? If you have heard President Obama's defense ad on the 'you did not build it'.....the FED government just became your closes friend. "We are there to help the small business succeed" and "We are all in this together." Sure you are, as you eat your $30,000 per plate funding diners. A small business person will budget that to be his entire years promotional campaign.

But this has become the most unfriendly business government in American history. From the EPA that wants to 'crucify' the oil industry the stiffer laws and regs on the banking industry. Not only does it want to tax business into the stone age. But it wants to tie them up with red tape until the T-Rex arrives for diner.

President Obama big on saying...'we tried trickle down economics and it did not work. That is how we got in this mess.' We got in this mess because government out spent its revenues. It outspent its revenues by making bad investment on Solydrn, on Finnish electric cars, and windmills from China. With the GSA taking 2.2m dollar Las Vegas romps. None of those was helping main street American business.

The 4% Solution is not trickle down economics. It is a main street solution that the Obama administration has avoided for 4 years.

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

The US State Department sites a 'sharp decline' in terrorist attacks last year after the death of alQeada terrorist leader; bin Laden, al-Rahman and alAWaliki.

The number fell to 10283 (2011) from 11,641 (2010). Or a drop of about 12%.

But is a 12% decrease a 'sharp drop'? I would say 'decline' is a better term to use. Because last year, Islamic terrorist shifted from the violent terrorist attack of murders and car bombings....to political operations of the Muslim Brotherhood and alQeada expanse in political areas.

The Muslim Brotherhood election win in Egypt has to be considered a major gain of Islamist. alQeada gains in Yemen, Maldies, and Nigeria
all were expansions on the political front.

But we have the Presidential election words of the State Department counter terrorist expert Dan Benjamin that said this......

"Inspiring as the moment may be, we are not blind to the attendant perils. Terrorist could still cause significant disruptions for states undergoing democratic transitions."

So we are now "inspired" with a 12% decline in suicide attacks, car bombings, murders and other acts of Islamic terrorism? how low we set our inspirations.......

Now I don't want to be a nay sayer here. Crimping the Obama campaign rheotric that government officials have to fling in a election year to keep their jobs, I understand. So am not going to harpoon, Mr. Banjamins remarks. I will let the earlier mentioned PAC of retiring SoF officers do that.

Because when push comes to shove, they are going to paint a much different picture to the events of the last year and to the state of post bin Laden Islamic terrorism, than the present administration will.

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

While back in the Middle East.....

Israel President Netanyhu said the sanction had not changed Iran course to nuclear weapons....'one iota'.

President Obama immediately announced new sanctions on Iran. While one of his key Iranian nuclear advisors said.....'we have to agree President Natanyhu's assessment. Iran has not changed course to meet international requirements.'

Ah what is a President to do?

The Iranians don't want to play ball when they are close to the big boom. The Israeli are warming up their ICBMs and their now nuc cruise missile carrying subs. President Obama just sanctioned another Iranian bank.

The White House says...'this will hurt them financially'.

Okie dokie.....

By the time President Obama is done with the Iranians, they will all be doing their banking online and offshore at the Caymen Island banks with Mitt Romney.

Of course President Amhmenajada will smile when the big boom comes. Knowing that he can smuggle a nuc into New York City and extort billions from the US, as repayment for the financial hurts caused by the sanctions.

So go figure.....

Assuming the Israeli are so patient to let the Iranian get the big boom.

One of the big mysteries of the week was supposed release of US attack plans on Iran to Israel. This just prior to Mitt Romney walking off the plane in the Holy Land. Then nearly as he departs, unnamed and senior Israeli officials, saying no it never happened. The US administration did not give us their attack plans on Iran.

Now just tie that into the 'leak investigation' ongoing in Washington.
Obama sanctioning another Iranian bank. Romney and Netanyhu doing a sit down face to face with each other. So my question, is did the Israeli throw a cover over the Obama White House leak of their attack plans on Iran? Because my instincts are saying the Isreali know the date, time, number of planes and types of munitions, and the Iranian targets of the first US strike into Iran.

We are going to be transperent remember? Only the American voter really thought Obama meant he was gong to be transperent with them....
Not to foreign countries.

I further wager that our F-22 is not among the attack plans for Iran.
Though we deployed a squadron to the Persian Gulf region only a few month ago. It was just a military feint. Since when the US pilots fly the F-22, they get hypoxia and black out or die..... 80b in research cost and you cannot suck oxygen in it. Hmmmmmm.....am wondering who side Lockheed is on.

But like Patton's staged D-Day 7th Army still sitting in England and now guarding the Olympics, the F-22 has been a effective feint on the Iranians. Hearing that a Squadron of F-22 were coming, promptly proceeded to do war games with test missile launches. And to sent the 15,000 man Quds Force to Syria.laugh So those broken F-22's sitting on a tarmac in the baking middle sun, scared the bejeepers out of the Iranians.

Maybe we can sell the F-22 to the SFA over in Syria. It sounds like they will buy and use just about anything presently. Speaking of the SFA.....they just got a small shipment of man pads.....from Turkey.
If I was a Russian Hind pilot in Syria. I would be poppin flares so fast when I was over Apello. It would look like the recent fourth of July show in San Deigo....the one were they all ignited in 45 seconds.
Interesting the in the media article of the man pads.....no name to the country of origin was given. So I will just say this....Turkey is a NATO country that doesnot make its own manpads.grin

RE: Syria. Things are, and, will get more compicated.

Syrian rebells just recieved two dozen man pads from Turkey for the battle of Apello. They are hoping for more.

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

Along a similar vein....

A resurged alQeada of Iraq is not threatening to strike into the 'heart of America' surcurity officials are saying.

Seth Jones author of "Hunting the Shadows" says this...."You can say pretty catagoricially that alQeada of Iraq appears to be strengthening from were it was two years ago."

Several of the group has been arrested in Canada and America that last couple of years.

US Texas REP McCaul (R serving on the house homeland security committee) says this "a heightened sense of concern for law enforcement and intelligence agencies".

The Iraq combat force withdrawal sure worked brillantly....America is less secure. Qud Forces are moving across iraq to Syria. American support forces in Iraq are pawns in the middle east. And alQeada is growing in strenth in a country that will host them.....

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

A group of retiring SOF (Special Operation Forces) officers are setting up a PAC supporting Governor Romney. Called "Special Operations for America" the group is led by a former Seal Team 6 Commander. Retired Commander Ryan Z. Zinke who had the Seal Team 6 during the 1990s and was the Operations commander of Arabian Peninsula task Force from 2004-8 during Iraqi Freedom.

This group is already addressing veteran groups around the country speaking out the Obama's administration use (or mis use) of SOF teams.
It will become a open forum for US military to speak out on a number of issues that the Obama administration has placed on the American
military.

Such issues as.....

The White House's leak of Seal Team 6 name post the bin Laden raid.

The Seal Team 6 Afghanistan Shoot down

Obama's decision to strike American alWalki with a drone missile instead of a Yemen kill and capture mission by SEALs. Killing not only
alWalki, but his 17 year old son.

The types of military operations that SEALs and other SOF have been conducting since 2008 under President Obama leadership.

The bombing deaths of the CIA agents and security team in Afghanistan under then CIA director Penetta leadership in Kandahar.

The SoF have long list of issues with the President Obama administration. Central to most is the bin Laden raid and its aftermath of the Seal Team 6 shoot down.

So we will finally begin to the hear and read some of the truth that the administration's stonewalled investigations into these issues is keeping from being made public.

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

Hey Dude, If I were to say to you.....there is a book...."The 4% Solution" about stimulating economic growth in a economy. That reduces
the unemployment. Creates wealth for the middle class. Written by four Nobel Prize winning economist....

The ideas in the book just might help to get the languishing economies of Europe and American jump started again. Would you read it with a open mind? But I get the feeling that just because the work is funded by the Bush foundation, you have already closed your mind to it.

Even Communist Russia had 5 year plans to bring increases to the countries growth rate. They would have loved a 4% growth rate.

Here is what Forbes Magazine Rich Kalgaard said about The 4% Solution:

"It is it possible?Of course. The US economy has made 3.3% growth since the end of WWII. But during that time, the economy saw 11 recessions. When the economy is not in recession, the average growth is 4%."

He continues "It is a moral imperative to get the economy back to a 4%
growth. President Obama has often talked about fairness but rarely about growth. He been missing the 'big picture'. His lapses could cost him the election. Mitt Romney has a golden opportunity to talk about the difference between a 2% and a 4% growth rate for the country."

I will let you read the rest short version of the 4% Solution that
Kalgaard has written up in his article. You tell me where he is off base....

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

Welcome back to the fray, Conrad.

Be gentle with Dude. He has taken some hard knocks the last few weeks.
Romney quietly gaining in all the polls, obviously has him nervous....
Any more Obama blunders like "you did not build that" will have prescribing MEDs to himself..... rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

The DEM party is expected to add a 'gay plank' the DEM platform come the DNC Convention in Charlotte, NC.

Bill Clinton is going to nominate President Obama for DEM 2012 Presidential Candidate. I guess the President was not that much of a
amateur or Bill needed the $10K for the night's speaking engagement.

RE: Syria. Things are, and, will get more compicated.

SFA is still holding on to sections of Apello as the Syrian military uses heavy weapons to dis lodge them from houses and building. Some 200,000 of the 3m citizens have fled the city. Meaning 2.8m are trapped in the fighting.

In Damascus, the Syrian Army is claiming victory over the SFA rebells.
Fighting seem to have subsided there.

In London, the ranking Syrian just defected in protest to Assad actions.

Russia will not let the EU to search Russian flagged ships headed to Syria for weapons.

In Iran, the Syrian Foreign minister attempted to make Israel the master mind for the Syrian civil war with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey its proxies.

France with the fighting in Apello has called a emergency meeting of the UN Security Council. Expect both Russia and China to block any resolution.

The leader of the SFA called for heavy weapon to take on the Syrian tanks and helos.

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

Joe Biden just sent me a 'blunt note'.

Of course at the end, he want me to send money. But here is the gest of his message.

"If we don't win this election, it will because we did not close the spending gap when we could." yada yada yada.....

"In the last two week of this month, Romney and his allies have almost a 2:1 spending advantage in Florida, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Virgina-that could be the election right there." {We can only hope}
{ } are mine.

Please donate $3 today.......

Well a couple of things. New Hampshire is solid in Obama camp. Biden uses the REP spending here, to flush out donations from the NE DEM States that are solid DEM.

If you take Florida, North Carolina and Virgina and add them to Romney's column, you still don't have Romney passing the 260 mark.

So?

Biden sees some other unnamed states as going for Romney as well. Ohio....Michigan....Wisconsin.....Iowa....but these he does not want to mention in his donation blurt. Add a couple of those to Romney column and you got 260.

Don't worry Joe.....Iowa is now a toss up state with only a 2 point different. Ohio and Michigan both only have 5 point Obama leads. Wisconsin just re-elected the REP governor recall by 7 points.

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

The two quotes were straight from the billboard of Maurice. Maybe a typo on disssspicable, but even Daffy Duck got that wrong........laugh

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

The former President of Poland and founder of the Solidarity Party of Poland, just endorse Mitt Romney for President.

If anyone understands the eastern Europe and Russian/Poland issues, it is Lech Walesa.

A union leader that rose against the Communist Russia has seen communist Russia force to leave his country. Now sees Putin's Russia re-entering with the questioned death of the previous President. Were does he turn?

Not to President Obama.

Who cut the United States anti ballistic missile system from Poland. But he turns to the man, that he hopes in 99 days will be the new American President.

Walesa knows that President Obama's words for European security are as thin as his words on the American economy. He knows straight talking when he hears it. As he did with President Reagon and Pope Paul II.

Now Walesa wished Romney success in the coming election.

This is setting up a return of US long range EMP radars to sit in Poland. To peer into Russia and to look for Iranian nuc launched at Europe. With Iran and Russia on the same side and with deployed troops in Syria, it is clear the close relationship of the two extends to Russian policies to Europe.

Russia is using Iran's coming nuclear program to assure European political complicity and multiculturalism policies. Hence you have
had little response on Iran's part to the sanctions or the P5+1 negotiations. Iran knows Russian has its back.

So Lech Walesa for the better of Europe, supports Mitt Romney. He has watched President Obama open arms to former Communist leaders, like Dolores Huerta. Walesa has cold shoulder President Obama since his oath in 2008.

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

Am going to be pre-emptive here.

So don't blame it on the Tea Party or the REP.

But there is a billboard now up in Aurora, CO with two photos ....one of James Holmes and one of President Obama.

On the Holmes photo is the caption
"He killed 12 and we freak out."

On the Obama photo is the caption
"Kills 1000s with his foreign policy and gets the Noble Peace Award"

The dispictable billboard is the work of the Maurice Clemens, a Libertian, that is angered because Obama has not brought the troops out of Afghanistan.

RE: Every 4 years,a new country for OLYMPIC GAMES, or permanetly staged in GREECE?

Can we revive the Oracle of Delphi, while we are at it? We can have track meet and have a fortune telling done at the same time......grin

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

Back to the GWB's 4% Solution Growth Solution.

Guess who had a 4% growth rate during his presidency, that DEM boast so much in job creation and in giving GWB such a debt free economy? President Bill Clinton's American average .....just over 4% during his 8 years in office.....coming in at whopping average of 4.3% GNP growth
rate.

For comparison here are a few other countries growth rates average over the last 5 years.

UK......for the past 5 years averaged.......... .32 growth rate
RU......for 5 years............................ 2.9 growth rate
Portugal......again 5 year..................... -1.2 growth rate
Mexico........again 5 year..................... 1.52 growth rate
Japan.........again 5 year..................... -1.0 growth rate
China.........again 5 year..................... 10.5 growth rate
France........again 5 year..................... .5 growth rate
Germany.......again 5 year..................... 1.16 growth rate
Greece........again 5 year..................... -2.16 growth rate

We all been amazed at China's growth rate. And the prosperity it has brought the Chinese people. But unless western countries begin to do similar, the people will not prosper in a food stamp economy or a free capitolist economy.

The EU will continue to be plagued by the debt issues of the weaker countries. Unless the growth rates of the EU improve.

You can say today....I still have my government benefits coming in.
But EU government austerity has really started to take those away.
With out growth in the EU GNPs, you can just expect more cuts to your
benefits or higher taxes to pay for your free health care.

It will be the same in the US for the ACA. Unless the country can raise its GNP, how can it afford the ACA? By taxing the 1% wealthy?
The 1% wealthy even you gave them the entire Obama taxation plan, will not cover the added cost of the ACA. The estimate is that taxing the wealthy over a 10 year period....generates 500 to 600b in Federal revenues. The ACA will cost....$1.1 trillion over the same period.

So there you have it. Unless you jump the growth rate up.....the ACA will not have the funds to drive it. Unless over course, you raise the taxes on the middle income.

RE: Every 4 years,a new country for OLYMPIC GAMES, or permanetly staged in GREECE?

Why should the world prop up the Greece economy by giving it the Olympics games every four years? Simply because ancient Greeks decided to have a track meet back in the day? How would Greece support the winter games?

Personally, I think multi country venueing for the Olmypics is the way to go. Have two or three countries joining together. To support the games then, they have to develop a transportation grid that benefits them long into the future.

They share the cost of the event and can develop other joint revenue programs from the event.

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

Here is the quote from a Syrian foreign minister Walid al-Moallem issued in Tehran tying Israel into his countries civil war. Just watch how he ties others into it as well....

"Israel is the mastermind behind all this crisis. They (Quatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey)are fighting the same front."

That Hillary will not tear that type of geo political conspiracy making apart? President Obama cannot speak on it? Really this is not a hard conspiracy theory to strip away and leave nothing but bones for the Syrian and Iranian to pick at.

But it the sheer silence of the Administration to the theory....that says so much. That says....hey we are not getting involved here. You can malaign our closest middle eastern ally (Isreal) all you want.

Prior to the Israel visit...according to politico dot com....Obama lead in Florida by .6 of a point. 46.0 to 45.4. We can check in a few days to see if Romney trip was successful in moving the number.....

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

The Russians just defied a EU sanction to stop their ship to search for weapons headed to Syria.

"We will not consider appeals and give consent to serarch vessel under the Russian flag, nor the application to other restrictive measures to
them." ministry spokesman Alexander Luhasevich said.

This after the Russian warned Apello might become a massive massacre sight to the Sunni that have rebelled.

Of course the US President is still waiting for his space as the Russian grow rich from the arms that they sell to the Assad regime. Now let us not think that this purely old cold war tactics by the Russians. Were it was like inthe Cuban missile crisis.....and it was
Kruschev that blinked. But it is very close to the same.

Only this time, it is campaign running US President that is blinking or has blinders on. Syrian deaths mount every day with his inaction.

Romney's words to Israel.....that we will 'not look aside' as Iran developes the nuclear bomb now have greater meaning. Because Iran/Syria/Russia are all so clearly linked in the middle east. Clearly this President has the ability to just that.

Romney's recent trip to Israel, his standing before the wailing wall, and his words for small country....netted him 1m in campaign donations from Israeli Americans the following day.

One has to consider that the DEM lock on the Jewish vote is broken.
Florida, a key swing state in the 2012 has a large voting block if Jewish voters. I will check the Florida polls prior and post the Romney Isreali trip and post them later for you.

So here we can take bets to see if this President will back up the
EU sanction on Russian weapons carrying ships.....with USNAVY support.
Or if he will let the EU countries attempt to enforce the sanction alone.

My bet is that EU will be stopping those Russian cargo vessels alone. Then as they do.....a Russian warship will suddenly come to the site to halt the search.

President Obama would hate to take any space away from President Putin.
As he arms Assad regime. Quid pro quo.....you know....

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

I think that key word here...'former' Florida REP Chairman.
Like many when you lose a job, you can also lose your cool.

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

Jerusalem was the capitol of ancient Israel, Dude. Been there for 1000s of years. Jews have been very accommendating to the let the Muslims build Mosques and other buildings there. See any Jewish Syngodes being built in Mecca or Qom? No and you will not.

But Mitt Romney is making it very clear he would support Israel in any conflict with Islamic countries.....don't you think?

Say the Syrian thing does to the SFA. Assad falls. Then what do you have? You have a Arab League country next to Israel on the eastern long border...the border were the Palestine have been enclaved by the Assad government into the border cities. The new Syrian government opens up land inside Syria for them. Land that comes from the departing Alawite.....because they are getting out of the country.

Suddenly you don't have the land pressure on the Palestines. Syria can do what should have been done years ago....and assimilate the Palestines. Palestines don't need Jerusalem then. They have lands inside Syria to develop.

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

But so few are Noble winners.....

You must like the US Main Street hurting, Dude. Having a growth rate of 4% places millions back to work. Reduces foreclosers. Makes American dreams of business and educations realized.

Or are you like President Obama....that think that only the Government
sector matters? Well it was the private sector that gave him the jobs.
It is the private sector that builds the roads and the runs the rails.
More innovation comes from the private sector than the government has even managed to happen.

Or are you saying the a 4% growth cannot be done?

Well you know who took over after Calvin Coolidge? FDR did and led the country right into the Great Depression.

A 4% growth is well within the abilities of the country. Specially if Romney is elected. Romney rebuilding the Navy will get a 1% of that growth. 700,000 jobs are made with a 500 ship Navy. When the ACA is done away with. The health care industry will stabilize and grow. Figure that for another 1%. Then with innovation coming from main street that is not facing taxes, is another .5%. Slash the government budgets will give the main street the money for the investments. Viola.....a 4% growth rate.

The trick here.....is to grow for a full decade at the 4%. That means a long term commitment to the program. And to reducing government spending.....at all levels. Shucks by the time the decade ends......
all the states would have balanced budgets and be like FL and WI....the Federal government might be scaled back 1/2 its size of today.

REP and conservative thinking looking far into the future.....don't you just love it?

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

Let me explain it you Chris.

The former President all have library and foundations. GWB library is at Texas AM. his foundation is also there. The library will house his letters, documents and executive orders from his Presidency for historians and researchers to use. The foundation will sponsor reports, studies and book like this. Often the library is considered part of the transperency of a Presidency.

So Let us consider, if Greece had a growth rate of 4% instead of a -3% growth rate for the past decade. Greece would not be a economic burden on the EU. Greece would be contributing member to the EU. Greece would not have gone the economic upheaval of the last few years. And the EU
would be thinking dissolving the relationship between the country and the association of European countries.

One last thing. If Greece had that 4% growth rate, it would not owe Germany all those recently borrowed billions.

But it is the same for the United States.......if we can get to a 4% growth rate.....we lose the burden of the loans made from the Chinese.
The book....The 4% Solution ...is just a blue print on how to do that.

RE: Soccer shouldn't be an Olympic Game Sport

The number of times that US woman team have brought home a Olympic metal in soccer needs to be taken into account here.

The ladies have collected ....gold medals three times and had a silver one time. So they are helping the cover the countries debt.

If soccer is not your sport, OK. But having played and coached it since 1970, Bain.....running 90 minutes on a 120 by 70 yard field is not as easy as many would like it. The athletes are usually in very fit condition to handle the running the sport requires.

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

Guess you did not read the part were it was main street America that was benefiting from the better business environment......not all American business persons have offshore accounts.

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

Romney is now in Israel......were......

He endorsed a unilatrol first strike by Israel on Iran's nuclear facilities. Saying thru a high ranking advisor Senor "If Israel
has to take action against Iran developing the capability, the Governor would respect that decision."

Senor went on to say....the Governor Romney feels stopping Iran's capability {for nuclear weapons both fission and non fission} is critical. { } are mine.

Then finally with a written clarifying statement...."Gov. Romney believes we should employ any and all measures to dissuade the Iran regime from its nuclear course, it is his fervent hope that diplomatic and economic measures will do so. In the final analysis, no option
should be excluded."

So the position of President Obama and Governor Romney are very close here on Iran.

Several difference being.

President Obama has said...."Already, there is too much talk of war.
Now is the time to let our increased pressure to sink in and to sustain the broad international coalition we have built."

But even the President affirms Israel's right to defend itself.

Romney said this is in a address in Israel. "Make no mistake, the ayatollas in Tehran are testing our moral defenses. They want to know who will object and who will look the other way. My message to the people of Israel and the leaders of Iran is one and the same. I will not look away; neither will my country."

Like President Obama, Governor Romney has said that 'all United States military options are on the table regarding Iran.'

So anyone see any big differences between Mitt and Barack on Israel & Iran?

But in the final assessment....Dude will attempt to make Mitt Romney into a war monger, lathering at the mouth to make war on Iran. And most rights will make President Obama, a soft push over that is appeasing Islam and is willing to give Iran nearly anything to change its course on nuclear weapons.doh grin

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

Well even Elton John now says that he finds GWB to be a 'gracious and interesting man that has taught him somethings."

That GWB would assemble four of the best economist in the world to think the country out of Obama's prolonged recession....has to slightly impressive. He is out of office, so did not have to do it.

But again to raise the countries growth rate to 4% is going to take work. We cannot have 40m people on food stamps and 72.5m drawing unemployment benefits....we know that gets us a 1.5% growth rate.
In last four years, we have been very successful to achieve this 1.5% growth rate. It is considered by many in the Obama administration as a highly prized achievement.

The DEM answer for the last four years has been raise taxes, raise taxes, raise taxes...if we don't raise taxes we will not have money to spend on food stamps and unemployment benefits.

Here is way to accomplish that. A 4% growth rate is billions in more main street sales. Peoples incomes will increase and with the same FED income tax rate.....you get billions in new FED government tax revenues. So is a compromise. REP get more income and discretionary income to spend. DEM get more FED taxes for food stamps and unemployment benefits program.

Seems a pretty logical compromise to me.....but in our polarized politics of the day.....few like compromises.

Please also note....it is not trickle down economics. The 4% growth is made at the main street level. Main street is being induced with a 'better business environment' of lower taxes to expand.

RE: Obama or Romney? That is the Question!

You mean the same no winner whose George W. Bush foundation just funded and published a book written by four Noble Lauretes in economics that gives a detailed plan to bring the American economy to a 4% annual growth rate?

The books is called the "The 4% Solution".

Today Obama's economy is growing at 1.5%. If the economy grows at 4% over the next decade, then 1/4 of our national debt is paid off. Unemployment will drop to under 6%. The useable income of Americans will increase by billions.

But do to this....
