Spill over violence from the Cartel wars south of the border came to Phoenix, AZ yesterday.
A SUV was to be pull over for a minor traffic violation, when it speed away and went off road south of Phoenix. Later the local enforced found it off road tracks and followed them to a burned out vehicle.
Inside they found 5 bodies burned beyond recognition.
Law enforcement is saying that it was likely drug related.

Earlier in the week in a payback murder kidnapping. A 4 year hispanic girl was taken and then murder, when her parent did not pay for the drugs that they had been bringing up from south of the bonder.
Locals in the Phoenix suburbs are so afraid to discuss the murder/kidnapping because of the cartels operations in the communities, that it is difficult for police to get leads to the person that did the crime.

Word on the Phoenix streets is that the cartels are keeping a low profile as they build up strength to engage US law enforcement. With the border being still open for hispanic to come north to vote in 2012, Cartel don't wish to scare them back south of the border. Rather the south of the border cartel violence is to scare them north for the 2012.
But once the 2012 is over, American law enforcement can expect the long anticipated cartel turf wars to begin in the southwest US cities for real.

So how did this arrangement occur? Fast and Furious. With the US Federal Government providing the cartel with weapons.....the cartel were obligated to the Obama administration to keep things cool in the US for a time. The Obama administration provided 2000 weapons to the cartels in Fast and Furious.....if the value of a average gun in $400....that is $80,000 in weapons given to the Cartels.
For $80,000, the cartels will make such a arrangement. But the cartels also know that with the FED government involved in such a sceeme, that they basically have a free hand in how to play it out. Imagine a cartel leader showing up at the Congressional hearing on Fast and Furious to give testimony on the FED program. Yes, you can see how deeply the administration got with the various cartels on Fast and Furious.
Now you know why that still over 80% of the Fast and Furious documents are still held by the "transperent Obama administration" from Congressional review.
We did. Likely 70+% of SEAL Team 6 is or was....since it is now mostly demised....was REP. In 2008 election...the military voter 54% to 46% for McCain. From my mil experience, the more elite the American unit was....the more it was REP in its politics.

The recent atrocities should tell you that.

The Syrian Freedom Army is now asking to be 'released' from the earlier ceasefire agreement negotiated by Annan. This after the two atrocities committed by the Assad army.
Seems to me that ....that with the atrocities......that peace is a very distant concept in this civil war.
Unless the UN Peace Keepers can bring those responsible for the atrocities to justice, something has about much chance as winning the fotbol pool on Derby to pull a undefeated and unscored on season..... there is no reason for the Syrian Freedom Army to remain even in a ceasefire.
The US has 4 titanium mines and about 10 titanium processing plants that are functioning. China owns about 80% of the titanium market. If need be.....we can buy the metal from the Chinese.
But those mines should be able to provide the needed titanium for 15-25 ships year construction program.

Second movie is "Act of Valor"...This flick has real US Navy Seals in it. DoD and the White House permitted them to play hollywood Navy Seal characters in a SEAL movie. ))

Yes, I see these exactly as debate threads. Because to say they are not. Means you agree with the OP from the beginning and there is little reason to post.
Good debate is about a taking a passionate position and defending it. I totally agree that when the post turn to personal attacks, then it has gone to far. That happens way to much here. Sadly, I have also have also done some.
I try to reread all the post I place here. Seeking to see if a personal attack has been made. When I see one, I delete or rewrite it.
But we discuss heated issues here. Ones with long histories and hardened positions. Were only occassionaly a blast of dynamite gets any movement or agreement. We discuss the day's horrors here. The world seems to be only to full of this. Giving release to those have to place it into words.
We learn here. Of how others around the world, that live in a vastly different culture or society think about a issue or situation. Sometimes learning is painful to our preconceptions.

Let me provide a little more thought....on the Syrian issue.
Why is this Syrian violence not spilling over into Iraq?
See one of US programs in Iraq....was to built a 260 miles long land obstacle along the Syrian/Iraq border. It cost us $268m, but was well worth the investment and kept people alive. This to keep those 1000s of Lebanon and Syrian fighters from entering Iraq. Those Lebanonese that the Irish and French peace keeper were to contain and keep in the country. WE just figured another way to do it.
Our land obstacling program in western Iraq was so effective, that it triggered off the Anabar awakening.
But since land obstacling is so easy to do. I have always wondered why the French and Irish in Lebanon did not land obstacle the Syria/Lebanon border. Specially since the EU gave Iran and the Revolutionary Guard $200Euro to land obstacle the Iran/Afghanistan border. Not that it works that well, since the Revolutionary Guard did the design work. And faked the heck out of it. But that is another story to share in the future.
But.......why did the French and the Irish not land obstacle the Syria and Lebanon border? The border were 30,000+ rocket and missiles crossed to arm Hezbollah to launch at little Israel? I have my idea to this. But please correct me if I am wrong.
See if the Irish and French placed a fence on the border of Syria and Lebanon.....it would approved of the fences and walls that Israel was placing up along the Syrian border and Palestine cities. Good Lord, you got have someone in the Middle East to accuse of being land grabbing bullies. So if you place a fence up to stop those Syrian and Iranian rockets from reaching Hesbollah, you cannot accuse Isreal of land grabbing. And we know how you like to accuse Israel of such bullying.

See here is how most the US military command perceives Syria.
Syria has a signed mutual defense treaty with Iran. Meaning? Meaning Assad and Khatenie are pretty close. So our thinking is.....because Sunni are dying in Syria. And we all know that Iran is Shia....and you have this big Sunni/Shia divide.
That Syria is just a diversion to move the world focus away from Iran and its nuclear programs.

So since to us....the major security threat is Iran with its nuc programs. We have very little interest to what happens in Syria. Its nuc program were bombed out by Isreal years ago. So we think like you, that nuclear explosion in cities are pretty horrible as well.

Back in 2002-5, nightly 1000s of Syrian and Lebanon Jhadist slipped across the border into Iraq. To become the foreign fighters, we faced for long time. Did Assad try to stop them? Did Hezbollah try to stop them? The answer there is no. Did the French or Irish Peace Keeper in Lebanon try to stop them? No.
Karma in coming to Syria and Lebanon, boys. This Karma is a nasty one.
Already this has spilled over into Lebanon were the Irish and French peace keeping forces are. And is that why the CS Irish are up in arms? Their view of the middle east is crashing around them today. As Americans are not involved in this fight at all. But all their buddies in the middle east are doing target practice on each other.
With the Russians are flocking to Syria. France and Ireland both see losing regional power in Syria and Lebanon. That is why our Irish friends here does not care about the Russian weapons in Syria. They cannot stop them from coming in. But those Russian weapons start killing Irish Peace keepers, he will care big time.

The UN is sending its inspectors around Syria in white Hondas SUVs....with 1/8 of inch of steel between them and any IEDs.....that either Syrian Army or the fustrated Syrian rebells will soon be placing on the roads.

Could we do more in Syria? You can bet your bippie, we could. But we don't have the leadership to do more.

Sect. Gates cut 310b from the four years of DoD spending under the Obama administration.
Sect. Penetta has been ordered to cut 495b from the next decade of planned DoD spending. This after he is cut another 60b from this last year of DoD spending.
Who gains from the defense cuts and Obama defense strategies?
-Obama has more money for his social welfare programs. -North Korea and Iran can each instigate a war, one will not have a US major military presence. -China and Russia, both that have force modernizing programs, will be unchallenged by the country that was once the armory of democracy.
Romney today said he will return the United States to having the 'world's strongest military'. He that the choice is either to become like Europe were defense cut after defense cut has gone to social programs. Or to rebuild the military for a two war conflict.
President Obama told us that the way returning Vet Nam vets were treated was wrong. That we should not do the same to the Iraq and Afghanistan returning Veterans.....none of whom with have a Victory parade in Washington.....for their service to country during the Obama administration.
Some local parades for returning VETs have been planned....but they seem to be cancelled as fast as the idea occurs in the city government.

Spill over violence from the Cartel wars south of the border came to Phoenix, AZ yesterday.A SUV was to be pull over for a minor traffic violation, when it speed away and went off road south of Phoenix. Later the local enforced found it off road tracks and followed them to a burned out vehicle.
Inside they found 5 bodies burned beyond recognition.
Law enforcement is saying that it was likely drug related.

Earlier in the week in a payback murder kidnapping. A 4 year hispanic
girl was taken and then murder, when her parent did not pay for the drugs that they had been bringing up from south of the bonder.
Locals in the Phoenix suburbs are so afraid to discuss the murder/kidnapping because of the cartels operations in the communities, that it is difficult for police to get leads to
the person that did the crime.

Word on the Phoenix streets is that the cartels are keeping a low profile as they build up strength to engage US law enforcement.
With the border being still open for hispanic to come north to vote in
2012, Cartel don't wish to scare them back south of the border.
Rather the south of the border cartel violence is to scare them north for the 2012.
But once the 2012 is over, American law enforcement can expect the long anticipated cartel turf wars to begin in the southwest US cities for real.

So how did this arrangement occur? Fast and Furious. With the US Federal Government providing the cartel with weapons.....the cartel were obligated to the Obama administration to keep things cool in the US for a time. The Obama administration provided 2000 weapons to the cartels in Fast and Furious.....if the value of a average gun in $400....that is $80,000 in weapons given to the Cartels.
For $80,000, the cartels will make such a arrangement. But the cartels also know that with the FED government involved in such a sceeme, that they basically have a free hand in how to play it out. Imagine a cartel leader showing up at the Congressional hearing on Fast and Furious to give testimony on the FED program. Yes, you can see how deeply the administration got with the various cartels on Fast and Furious.
Now you know why that still over 80% of the Fast and Furious documents are still held by the "transperent Obama administration" from Congressional review.
