Just listened to a u-tube vid of the two French reporters that were wounded with the reporter that was killed. Both asked for France to intervene and come to their rescue. Personally, I think Putin is throwing snow in your face....China military is growing. I admit that. But China is no dummy. Starting a war with Russia to gain it Oil assets makes little sense when China can buy the crude on the market from it vast BOP reserve.
I am surprised that Putin has not suggested running a new pipeline from Siberia to China. Think about it my European friends. That means a hole lot less Siberian gold for you. But that is a economic incentive for both countries.

I don't think we are at a abyss, Albert. The US has made demonstration of the new EMP weapons to Iran over the last several months. How I know this, I cannot say.
But it has brought the Iranian and the NKoreans to the nuclear table. Iran just let a UN atomic team in. And said it want nuclear talks. Then stopped short of letting them see a military base, that is suspected to be making a nuclear device. So? Maybe more demonstration of the EMP weapons are needed. Iran's call on that one.

See DEM are quietly hiding the fact that the unemployment rate is really climbing. As they tout the reduction in job claims. The reduction is often because people have run out of government assistance. They are still unemployed, but no longer qualify for government assistance.
DEM are playing with the wrong numbers in the economy. For election reaspons. There are really only three numbers you have to watch. GNP, unemployment, factory orders, to know which direction things are headed.
Anyways.......I wish it was not happening. But it is. It might signal a double dip recession. Some economists have been predicting another recession in 2012. This one worse than the 2008-9 recession.

I know a lot of men and women in and of the military service that never shot a weapon in anger. Alot that never were on the battle field. Alot that served their country with honor and distinction and never once took a human life.
