In a web broadcast for Europe and the Middle east consumption, President Obama announced his intent to run for the 2012 United State Campaign.

I wish the President well in his bid.

That he cannot make his canidancy public on American TV, should tell everyone everything.

The US officials cannot charge Pastor Jones for something done outside of their jurisdiction, in Afghanistan. Nor is thier evidence for the Afghanistan officials to seek a extradiction order for him to face charges there. He did not directly participate in the events there.

Pastor Jones played the exact same game here....that the Islamic terrorists have played for years....hat is hiding behind the borders of countries.

I may not like what he did in burning the Quarn. But I do give him some credit....he knew how to place the issue into the public view.....without getting himself into a legal land mine and swamp.

Anyways...lets us talk about the new Obama doctrine some. You know that doctrine that makes the United States the policeman of the world.

His Libyan intervention now in a stalemate with the rebell forming a "crisis team".....as Qdaffi forces use heavier weapons to pound down their defenses in a key oil cities.

It really is a mismoner....to use American forces for UN police keeping action. If Libya was a policing intervention, why is not the entire UN there? Why does this fall to the US and a few others?

Korea was a UN policing action as well. Near to 40 countries participated in it. Since then fewer and fewer countries get involved in UN policing actions. Except for the good old United States.

Russia and China both abstained in the security council vote. Washing their hands of the affair. But leaving them free to comment. The Arab League dominated UN General Body sends all of 2 countries to aid in the Libyan intervention. Everyone else stays home as Qdaffi kills his people. Or they simply don't think that it is their business to get involved with.

So Obama really does not even have UN support for this. He is a cowboy out to make himself a name in town packing a TomCat and with a trigger finger on a cruise missile. What he has is limited EU and NATO support.

But in the end the Muslim world will not 'like' the United States any more because of this policing action. The Muslim world can go bonkers when a Quran is burned. Not a kind or respectful thing to do. But nor is rioting at a UN ....yes note a UN facility that is taking lives. All Obama has done is mix the identity the US with the UN on the Muslim street. Now the US
gets blamed for what ever wrong the UN does.

So the Obama doctrine is really again the US Policing the world policy. For humantarn purposes mind you....if at the end of a cruise missile strike one can see humane thing being done. But then just maybe worse things would be done, if the cruise missile was not fired.

It is the big "what if"....what if we don't fire the missile....what if we do fire the missile. No country and no military will consistently make that decision correctly. Already you had a friendly fire incident in Libya that killed 13 rebells.

So Obama's doctrine is more a police action with with only a few of the town's people supporting him. What is worse now for the Libyan rebells, the sheriff decided to leave town. As Obama pulls ships and aircraft from now the NATO commanded operation.

Why get into the thing in the first place, if you were not going to see it thru? Qdaffi is still in power. Is still going to seek out and kill the civilians that supported the rebells. And is playing hide and seek with the special ops teams that have gone into the country.

All it shows is that the US will back away from its allies when things get tough. Our support is conditional to the events and the political winds of the world. As now the Joint Chiefs comes out with a report that says the Libyan rebells are for democracy.

It is mind blogging. Instead of supporting a democratic movement....that is rebelling against dictator....Obama has now turned his back on them. And was going to arm the oppressing dictator prior to the rebellion.

Anyone need a stiff drink as we watch Washington do hari kari over the Libyan intervention? Am not sure hugs
are going to help the Administration staff that is going."What now Mr. President? How else can we screw things up in the world?"

But I know to Dude and the millions of European liberals, the Obama doctrine makes perfect sense. You were trying to save Libyan civilians from the hands of a bloody Qdaffi. It just s that......he is there in the country doing what he is doing....and the no fly zone resolution keeps you from going into the country to stop it. With the no boots in the ground clause.

I have hit this dead horse one to many times. And no pulse is felt. So it must be a one dead horse.

Time for the reader of Dude's thread to watch and listen to some honest stuff about the middle east rebellions and street protest.

From the Hoover Institute is Peter Berkowitz and Victor DAvid Hanson.....one a Consitutional Scholar and the other military historian give informed views on the event of recent.

Dude's blogging lack much in accuracy to events and causes of these middle east movements. They are mainly the white wash of the Obama Administration...to keep it sprackly clean and unblemished.

The principle reason Obama is not sending weapons to the rebells....whom his no fly zone aided and abetted to ins topping the Qdaffi offense...is mainly he does not case if Qdaffi stays in power or not. The White House rhetoric....of "Qdaffi must go"...is weak until it backed up with US planes in the skies libya, weapons for rebells, or boot on the ground.

Obama does not want Qdaffi out of there. His Kenyan cousin has a long standing relationship with him. Qdaffi's son was here to buy military weapons. And the M113 sale had White House approval.

None of the does Dude address.

Till President Obama can honestly place freedom into the street protest or into the rebells fighting in Libya..that it needs to be back up with Constitutional given rights.....what long term purpose does the US have there? Here Freedom is the last thing he talks of. It is the humantarin crisis....it is our international allies (needing Libyan oil)...it is Islamic leaders needing to meet the dust bins of history. But it is not freedom and constitutional governments in the middle east.

If he puts Freedom and Democracy back on the table...as our reason for being there....then the country will not stand with him. Till he does his poll number will drop. But the very big issue is then....what if the Muslim Brotherhood....or alQaida does win and does pace Sharia Law countries into being....and the US loses and the political winds blow against him and freedom.

So he cuts his risks by doing business with the Qdaffi and Mobarak of the world. Which in itself is anti freedom. So Obama hads been all over the geo political game board. With no consistent message or standard to what he wants in the region.

There is anew poll out that says American would rather shut down gov't than to increase spending.

Now not sure about you. But the idea of having a America with less gov't....is one of those very pleasant concept to most of us that have been here any time.

DEM see this as 1995, when the REP were force to shut down gov't over a budget shortage. But it is not that same. Americans have seen that deficit website flowing like uncontrolled Niraga Falls on steroids.

They see their children future going down the big drain here.
And that is the difference.

Does not seem like Qdaffi is playing by Obama crafted rules. That cease fire request of the rebells was timed right when the US was to stop overflights and to allow NATO to take over.

BUT Qdaffi forces are 'pounding Misrata with artillery and small arms fire'. So?

Seems like Qdaffi rejected the ceasefire.

Hillary meets with the Rebell leaders in London....then the NATO hand over come and the US planes leave and the rebells call for a ceasefire. All happening in 48 hours?

Qdaffi is a crafty old desert rascel, you not going to get him with such simplicity.

Presently the REP nomination committee is so fustrated in attempting to figure out how is running in the 2012 campaign.
They decided to loo out side of the country. They figured if the
DEM can do it with Obama, they can do it as well.

Interviews are being done.

The present thought in the REP party is that Palin/Medvedev would make a strong running pair for a opposition to the Obama/? team.
That they share a common border in the Bearing Straits means that they have worked together in the past.

The Libyan rebells strangely do have a good sense of timing. They are laying out conditions for a ceasefire.

They say they will agree to a ceasefire if Qdaffi pulls his forces out the cities and town and allows peaceful protest. Right up the line of thought of President Obama and the west.

They still want him to go. But have not told the world were they want him to go. I think at this point, anyplace outside of Libya is fine with them, as long as it is much hotter.

Rebells were keeping Journalists away from the fighting.....and the fluid conflict lines in the Libyan sand are undefined. Already several journalists have turned missing.

Qdaffi's regimes seems to be leaving faster than he is. Two senior level advisors decided to come to the west for a holiday s and to give info on Qdaffi past terrorist connections. Am sure the Lockerbie bomber name has been dropped more than once in their debriefings.

So the speculation is that the regime is crumpling from within.
Yes.......Qdaffi has 1000s of supporters and two leaving is going to change this how? He will appoint the heroic 18 yo private to replace them and move on.

So will Qdaffi take the rebell up on their offer of a ceasefire.
The military side of me says no. His forces have abandoned the tanks and personnel carrier for private vehicles and have shed uniforms for civilian garb. This to halt the bombing of the US and others. They basicaly pulled a Iragi melt into the civilians.

Now they simply inflitrate a city or town...till enough forces are in in place to fight. So not much a guy at 40K at mach 1 can do here. This is the rebells cleaning up on the ground time.

That they are asking for a ceasefire is not a good. Shows that this melt tactic is giving them problems and they want time to consolidate their positions. So the military side of me, says Qdaffi will reject the ceasefire offer.

On the other side of the issue, Qdaffi is nuttier than auntie's Christmas fruit cake. So he just might take the rebells up on the ceasefire. If he thinks that later he will be in a stronger position to suppress the rebellion or there is vast international gain for him doing so. Or if it is his get out Libya card with his head attached and neck not stretched.

No word from either the US or EU on their position on the rebell offer of a ceasefire. Surely this is dicey diplomacy time. The US sent in Hillary to meet with the rebell leaders in London. So the west may already know about the ceasefire proposal.

That Qdaffi is not offering Disney movie and book rights on the last 30 days of Libyan history. Has to say something as well.
This has been a very bloody and deadly rebellion. The ceasefire might look good to him for world PR purposes.

Most of the CIA teams are former military. Their mission crosses over many times into military. The difference being ...CIA teams will be in civilian garb....if caught will be executed as spies.
But since they don't wear a US military uniform....are not in the technical breach of the UN resolution.

But I have feeling that most of the target evaulation and acquistion is being done by Global Hawk, J-Stars and satellite imagery.

A CIA team only has so many eyes and can see only so much on the ground. Those sensor platforms can watch the entire Libyan coast in real time. Remember when President Obama mentioned...'our unique military abilities'....we are the only country in the world to have Global Hawk, J-Stars and a robust satellite imagery program in real time.

It is not troops on the ground.....it is CIA operations teams. I know a techie difference. But just technie different enough to avoid the UN resolution requirement not to place military boots on the ground.

DoD Sect Gate was in a Congress hearing today. He waffled on if the the US woudl send military aid to the Libyan rebells. And Said it was really up to others to do.

He did say US aircraft are avialable to the NATO commander to use in the no fly zone.

Gate said US involvement would be 'much more limited" in the future.

Obama has signed off on CIA special ops teams to be inside Libya.

So the question is....before weapons can be provided....is the opposition Islamic radicals or is it 'broad and diverse' as the Administration is claiming.

There were 51 Muslim invited to the White House Ramadan dinner gathering. The key word there is INVITED. This was only by White House invitation. They selected the guests to attend.

Now in the world of Islam.....Shia constitues 1/5 of the Islam faith and Sunni constitues 4/5 of the faith.

If the White House was doing its Muslim outreach fairly....one would expect.....about 10 of the guests to be Shia. But as this blogger noted....or suspected.....and wanted additional evidence of it being a Sunni White House. I decided to prob a little deeper for evidence to a Sunni White House. And thought of the public guest list of the Ramadan diner.

Now the Ramadan is a big deal in Islam. This dinner gathering....the first of its kind in the White House....was a big deal. To get a invite to the White House for it, is clearly showing respect and honor. It clearly shows who the White House is supporting in the vast world of Islam. And who it is not supporting.

The November dinner party was prior to the first Muslim street protest. But the fact that very few Shia attended ...if any.....had to say a lot on the streets of Cairo, Benhganzi, Sanni, Damscus, Tunis or any other mixed Muslim country of Shia and Sunni.

And the fact that our liberal press....that critically made Senator McCain aware of the difference between Shia and Sunni.....cannot see a White House Guest list that is likely 100% Sunni. And cannot mention it...again shows a blind view to the obvious conclusion to a Sunni domination of the White House.

If there is one thing that Iraq has taught us. Is that Sunni and Shia, do not get along. When they don't get along, you get suicide bombers and violence. When the White House placed this quest list together....it was like jabbing a stick into the eyes of world's Shia. It was no mere accident or breach of social protocol.

The White House did not cause Hosni Mubarak, bin Allie, Qdaffi,
Assad or other Islamic leaders to mistreat their people. But it sure knew how to trigger off street protest in their countries.

Tribuk, Libya was were the Austrialian held out against Rommel's Africa Corp in WWII. It was siege for near to a year. They can use the same old trenchs and fortification of them.

Fighting stalemated sieged wars in North Africa...is historical.....Cesear fought them. Hannibal fought them. General Alexander of England was in Egypt for nearly a year, before breaking out against Rommel. Add Obama's name to long list of men that got sucked into a stalemated war in N.Africa.

So Dude...do we provide the same humanitarin services provided to Libya.....in Syria? Because Syria is heating up. Assad fired his cabinet. The military fired on protestors. And the protestors not quiting.

In Libya....Qdaffi and family are staying to the end....according to his new spokesperson. And a stalemate on both the east and west fronts has begun.

With the rebells crying for western air support....

NATO has taken over the no fly zone....and UK and US vessels leave the waters. As NATO is divided on supplying close air support for the rebells.

A stalemate is nearly surely to happen.

If you check most of your cost on gallon of gas in Europe.....is......taxes. Your government have used gas taxes
to increase the cost for several reasons.

One to force you to go green. Two help pay for their social programs.

The cost of manufacturing a gallon of gas in the US or in Europe is near identical. The refining process does not change because of the Atlantic Ocean is there.

So the cost different is in the production cost and the taxes. And with Libya in rebellion.....the North Sea hard to place to drill....the Russian Siberia fields 1000s of miles away....your production cost are more.

But the main cost difference.....is your taxes.

The Fed Government was big when GWB had it....now it is 3 time bigger. A reduced troop deployment in Iraq cost twice what it did under GWB. The surge in Afghan cost more than the surge in
Iraq did.Yet Obama is cutting our DoD advanced weapons system by billions. Ain't that something?

The DEM get talking points on how to attack the REP and Tea Party coalition in Washington. We just had Senator Schullmer of NY....in a phone call....over heard by reporters....tell us
that the DEM caucus has given him talking points....that every time he talks about the Tea Party to call it 'extreme'.

What political mickins these DEMs are. he is frigin US Senator and the DEM Caucus will not let him speak his mind. They cannot even think for themselves. They just follow the rant play book. Use the right words to demean a political movement. They cloud up our national debate with rhetoric that is unworthy of free speech. It falls far short of sincere debate. They just want to draw the country into the mud puddle with them.

I for one refuse to join them.

Why don't we just produce more oil? We have the technologies for that. For going green we technologies that half was developed and no evidence that they will be fully developed.

Example. The GM Volt. Know how many Lithunium battreys it has?
700...each needing to be wired into the assembly. Each adding weight to the car. Each reguiring Lithunium to be mined.

Surely we can make a better electric car.
