RE: Friends vs Strangers

Living in fear is a bit different to being cautious and not exposing oneself to unecessary dangers which might generate fear ...

Women in particular have to be more cautious than men!!!

I was in similar situation to you with a guy in the street who obviously needed help but every one was ignoring him. At that time I was living on my own with my 2 young kids. I offered the help I could and gave him some money BUT I drew the line at having him in our home although he mentioned it, because of my kids safety and my own. So may be it was fear that prevented me from offering him a roof ... OR may be it was common sense ...

I feel you are being a little too judgemental of people who use their common sense to determine whether something is safe or not, by telling them they live in fear ... There is a difference between being fearless and being reckless ... IMHO

RE: Starting a diet...

Ah, yes, I peeked at your profile and saw the other drawings - Excellent! You did them yourself?.. you are incredibly talented young lady!

Yes, normally Potassium is found in bananas - etc ...quote]

Thank you Smoky ... Always have done a bit of art but I discovered I could do that type of drawing about a year ago ...

And of course you are right about modern foods including fresh stuff not having the same nutrients they used to have in "the good ol' days"

RE: are healings real

Thank you Dru!!! handshake hug

RE: Why I do not like faith (a thread for atheists /agnostics to share their views in a peaceful settin

Crotalus, surely you mean the background of the "alleged" 9/11 hijackers

Also you'll find that Trish was referring to Hanry VIII who invented the Protestant religion because to be able to divorce is wife(s)which Catholicism would not let him do, after he grown bored with having them decapitated laugh

RE: are healings real

Glad you enjoyed it Dru!! hug

Hopefully see you soon when you have a bit of time to share with us here!!

No apologies were needed earlier! bouquet

RE: are healings real

Thank you Druidess!!! I think I would!!!

I live now in a place where I am surrounded by people like you and me!! You'd like it too!!!

If you have a look at Cherokeegrandma's thread "Summer is ending, come to my fire and listen to grandma's tale" in the European Forums you will see a post of mine where I describe a Bday celebration we were at last night!!! Added to the many musically talented friends of whom I speak in my post there were also many healers and alternative therapies and natural living friends ... Oh!! And artists!!! yay

RE: are healings real

hug Yeah! Empath can be a pain in the butt!!! Took me years to work out what was mine and what wasn't!!! ahahahaha! It almost funny to get a headache and have to check to see if it's your own or the person's standing next to you ... Same when a wave of sadness or any other emotion engulfs you out of the blue ... It's pretty cool at parties though!!! I can get drunk without touching a drop of acohol if averyone around me is merry!!! laugh

Seeing "other things" is cool as long as we work within the light!!!

RE: are healings real

wave

I don't see the colours as I heal but I do see the colours of the vibrations of gongss and tibetan bowls when being used for vibrational healing ... I also seem to "acquire" knowledge during the healing (without ANYONE having told me) of any injuries or places in the body that are "weaker" due to a condition or unjury. Also which energy centres are not flowing freely etc ...

hug

RE: Why I do not like faith (a thread for atheists /agnostics to share their views in a peaceful settin

The bible as we know it only has in it "the bits" that were "approved" by the "powers that be" at the time ... I can't remember how the gospels according to St Luke, St Thomas, St Paul and St John (I think that's their names) fit in into the Bible story but there have been ancient scrolls discovered a few years ago that prove that those 4 were not the only gospels written. As far as I'm concerned, the bible as we know is a put together of "bits" with too many "out of context and left out bits". Probably why there are so many contradictions in it.

I don't take the bible or any other christian religious writings as the word of God or a representation of the words of God. They are only the words that some blokes (there weren't ever any women involved in those publications) chose to make public and use for the purpose of power.

So in my mind God doesn't equal bible ...

RE: Why I Like Faith (a thread for believers to share their views in a peaceful setting)

Yeah!!! What he said!!! All of it!!!!! bouquet

RE: Why I do not like faith (a thread for atheists /agnostics to share their views in a peaceful settin

wave Hiya Trish!!! I totally agree with you here ... I was brought up catholic ... I DO NOT believe in religion ...

I do owever believe in a higher vibration divine energy that I feel anyone can tap into and benefit from ... I have no idea what it is called ... Sometimes I call it God sometimes I call it Divine Source ... It's name matters little to me ...

RE: are healings real

laugh

RE: God is always with us

rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing OOOPS! Don't read my next post then!!! hahahahaha!

RE: God is always with us

Credulity: gullibility, naivete, naivety

There are many things that are cheap and dangerous in this world ...

Are some believers/credulous people more dangerous than others?

Some people believe that everything they have experienced or read about in their life so far, amounts to everything there is to know about everything ...

Isn't that a little naive in itself?
