I think one of the main things to remember, when considering life elsewhere in the universe, is how long it takes us to receive information about distant stars and planets. If we are observing an object millions of light-years away we are looking at all those things in the past. So how are we to know what is happening on them in the present? Were someone to be viewing our planet from millions of light-years away, using the same methods, they would be totally oblivious of our existence and possibly thinking ' hey cool, dinosaurs'. Another factor regarding life elsewhere is what to consider 'life' Bacteria is life. Time was, as the theory goes, that at a time in the past bacteria was the only life on our planet. Look at us now. Another thing to consider is that things exist at their own frequencies. So as animals can can hear and see things we cannot, things could exist that we cannot hear or see, even on our own planet. So how are we to know about other planets so far away? Yes we have technology that can scan for such things but again the time factor comes in. We can only observe with any hope of accuracy if something is close enough. And can the scanners etc. that humans have created truly scan every frequency? How limited are we by are ability to measure? If one believes in the existence of the universe and all things therein I think it only logical that life in some form will exist elsewhere. As to whether there has or will be contact then why not? Given what was mentioned about frequencies then it could have happened without anyone ever knowing. But also if 'alien' life has the ability to manipulate their frequencies, or they exist on frequencies within our range, then actual contact is/would be possible. There is so much more that could be said. But this will do for now.
THE ALLIES 'WON' WW2. The heading of this forum implies that America won all on their own. Remember all the countries involved who actually suffered. Who made the most money out of it all? America.
I think this is far from a thing that just men do. So many women have no photo either. Some even have the audacity to state that they will not reply to approaches from men with no photo. ha.
If a song gives you a thought or emotion you had not previously had - is that not life changing in some way? It's not a case of 'letting'. Even if you choose to ignore that thought or emotion, you have still experienced it and made a conscious decision one way or the other. :-)
I remember when you'd get money back on bottles returned to the shop. So as a kid if you found a pop bottle discarded somewhere, you'd take it to the shop and get a little cash.
