I'm 100 percent American, and have dated all kinds of Swedish women, and some other European women. I'll just say for me, I prefer American women for the most part since it's easier to tune in with somebody from the same culture as I am.

The Steelers are winning it all. I'm not Steelers fan, but guess who is coming back!!! With the Steelers defense being so dominant, and with Big Ben coming back, I find it hard to imagine anyone beating them. Wouldn't be surprised if the Steeerls go 14-2.

I can see the Jets and Ravens given them a run for their money.

The NFC is garbage this year.

I live in Sweden because of a long distance relationship---and somebody had to make the move. So I left sunny California and moved here in 1999 when I was 26. I met a Swedish nanny back in December of 94. Really long story...

I've served my time with LDR's haha! My last LDR was about 2.5 years ago. I was dating some American woman in Prague. After a couple of visits by plane, and all the hours spent on the phone and email exchanges, it got old. Hard to decide when to make the move if you don't know the person that well, and the only way to get to know a person is by actually seeing them on a regular basis. Depends how long both people are willing to be in a LDR, and you have to have a decent economy in order to pay for all the trips and so forth. If it works out, then very well worth it. In any case, a decision does need to be made eventually---who is going to make the move? And when you have kids and a job etc---it's not an easy decision if you have to move to a new country. You have to consider learning the language, leaving your friends and family behind, as well as your culture, and maybe relying on your new partner a bit too much in the beginning.

It sure does sweetheart. We all learn in our own ways. Wisdom and experience mean nothing until we have actually learned from our experiences and have been through them. To me, the present is the ultimate judge, but we do have to consider the future if some of our interests do not align---as good as the present may be.




Perfectly understood I don't mean to sound so cliché, but the shoe does have to fit---despite how awesome the shoe appears.

Agreed though---energy and projection can work both ways since it never stays still for many people. Rule it, don't let it rule you due to labels and indoctrinations projected by Hollywood and Romanticism.

I will say that a lot of relationships do begin in projection, but not all of them. Some people are beyond the rabbit hole and see things in their true light

Yes, understood. However, my point is growing out of love. A lot of relationships fall flat after the initial take-off phase of those 6-8 magical weeks. Things that were seen as cool and funny at first, all of the sudden become not so funny, and we tell our partners this, or we keep it bottled up and wonder what we got into. There are many reasons for this.

Now, I have my explanations for this process, but I'll hold off for now since I am pounding beers (long story). I just want to see more views here.
