Yes, actually it should read 'alternative hypothesis/explanation/opinion or idea'. It's really not employed to reinforce that it is a secret, just a breakthrough and a new direction in science since they have patients who have vouched for them. Only you perceive it that way.
Good summary. Then again, one has to be familiar with many concepts presented in there in order to grasp the depths of what is being said and seeing its real life applications.
How does it demonstrate that Chopra's healing technique's is quacky? Isn't Western science quacky itself in many respects?

I know from personal experience, that my belief really dictates my health. I've been sick once in the last 12 years. I've recovered from some serious injuries way ahead of time. A quick example, if I feel a cold coming on in the morning, I just assume that it's leaving my body and will be gone by the next day or later that day---always works. The power of belief---and it works on a quantum level within consciousness. Now if I were to focus my thoughts on "I'm going to get sick, this cold will never go away", then more than likely that is what happens. I've seen how colds turn into some sickness or simply linger---all because of how one focused their thoughts.

I will say that there is a lot of lack of understanding with this concept of "you create your own reality".
In any case, Bruce Lipton (along with Chopra), have done some great work in the quantum consciousness healing field. The evidence is all there of the healed patients.

On the serious side, I don't think there is really any pressure for men to look good (like model good or muscular/lean good) as opposed to the gargantuan pressure that is put on women. Women are not into looks in the same way as men are---according to many studies and my own observations.
