Would we even recognize our mate even if they were right in front of us? Or would we still think they are elsewhere seemingly unattainable for often times it's the chase that matters more than the catch! However, the chase becomes exhausting and so many just give up and dont care anymore.
This site is uniquely called connecting singles where most of the population here will forever remain single. If it were named connecting people or connecting potential lovers or connecting souls or something related of people seriously looking for a lover or partner or marriage then those looking for real relationships may find something or someone of value here. Since, everyone is here for their own personal motives and maybe just consider this site as a hangout like a local tavern or a feeding ground of unsuspecting naïve people to be scammed out of something be it emotional trauma or monetary gains one must set their expectations low enough to avoid disappointment. Since this site is free and nobody has any money invested so nobody can expect much return on their investment. The only investment everyone puts into it is by their own choice and how much they value people here. The social cliques will never offer much condolence. So, its best just to find real friends outside of here. Though the intentions were noble of this site in general but, leaving it up to the general population to figure out who is suited for who maybe by chance we may find love here. Ah but, do consider if anyone does happen to find it and able to be up close and personal with it learn to appreciate what is given for as easily it may have been given it can be taken away. Overall, a lot depends on our investment and what we are willing to put into seeking and keeping a relationship. Everyone wants but so few are willing to put the effort into what they want.
If you are referring to the stupid personality quizzes and multiple choice answers that both men and women post to weed out the undesirables yes, its not a good tool to measure people and their value. Much like taking personality quizzes for jobs. If you are applying for a warehouse job for example throwing boxes of crap around, do the boxes care about your personality?
Testing people in general to meet your standards do consider your personality is equally being challenged. However, the unfortunate natural selection applies. In nature the female looks for the strongest male and as males will fight one another to win the female approval nothing has changed but the way they fight. Today since women are more aggressive liberated and apparently more empowered to choose who they want to play with the test for the boys is to prove their prowess their ability to provide their overall nature is being tested on daily basis. As many people in general are so busy looking for all the bad qualities I think their vision is clouded with seeking only that there is little room to see the goodness in people.
Why do people in general test one another? Maybe its the search for understanding themselves and how they compare to one another. I am sure the boys test the girls just the same and maybe many are failing these tests or there would be possibly more healthier relationships being formed here. Many complain about the decline of this site and the quality of it yet, whose fault is it but everyone who plays here.
Daniela and Bearwoman have it right. Until we take the responsibility to take the wheel of life in our hands we can begin to work on our wounds. Many love to make excuses of their failings in life. Its the parents fault, the teachers and school system, its the politicians, the dog ate my homework, the cat peed on my homework. I was diagnosed with some kind of illness that would effect my entire life!! I was dropped kicked at the 50 yard line when I was baby!! There are a multitude of excuses we can dream up and because our parents are the first exposure into this world we learn how to react and respond to that immediate environment. Genetic traits passed down from generation to generation can be a factor. The power to rise above our dysfunction determines our fate. We make choices good and bad alike yet, if we keep making the same mistakes over and over after being told over and over how to correctly do things do we blame the parents the cat the dog the weather or something outside of us? After awhile life catches on and our BS catches up with us. If only I knew this 35 years ago.
Aside the "Nancy and the pop up ladies in white show" it only seemed that those on Donny's side (Republicans) sort of believed his rhetoric. His last ditch effort for approval of the wall still may not go over well on either side. Hence, he still may have to exercise his executive power to put it up regardless. Overall, it was actually a better show than the Superbowl.
I am ostracized all the time here for viewpoints but, it goes with the territory. If you play with vipers one has to be willing to put up with their venom. After awhile one grows immunity to the poison.
As we all know a picture paints a thousand words. Many may or may not have a face to launch 1000 ships Nevertheless, there are many flowers here who look like a dream and or a nightmare depending upon individual taste. Even if their pics are 20 years old or more we all create an image of who we perceive ourselves to be but, it may not be our reality. Youth and beauty walk hand in hand and it is something we all tend to hold onto. 14th century explorers searched for the fountain of youth more so than their quest for gold. That's how important we place beauty and youth. Youth and physical beauty fades and yet, finding the beauty within is the true treasure. Unfortunately, many choose not to reveal their treasure except to their select few. One must measure beauty from within for exterior beauty fades. We can complain of people placing fake pics and fake profiles or even those who don't post a pic at all. We place value of people more by looks first when shopping and browsing then by personality and perception of what we say of ourselves on our profiles and what we convey in the blogs and forums. Overall, everyone has their reasons why they are loitering around here hoping for some kind of intellectual and emotional connection. There is no rhyme or reason why people say or do the things they say or do. In the end if many have no intention in finding a friend or lover it matters not if they post an old pic or any pic.
Thank heaven nobody is in the same room talking like this, the gloves would come off and blood would be drawn!! Very sad indeed. Regarding to pay to play why pay when everyone has just as much fun fighting and bickering for free right here???!!
Honestly boys if you treat women with love and respect and have a life greater than hers and confidence to make effective decisions she will love you like a god!! Do consider as powerful as Cleopatra was in her day if Marc Antony didn't rule Rome and handle his affairs accordingly do you think she would be interested? If the Queen of Sheba did not think enough of King David of Jerusalem who most of Israel adored do you think she would had wanted to fool around with him? Though she had her personal motivation to have David guard her borders against the surrounding tribes she looked at him as a man of honor and power. Women love power.

Ano couldn't say it any better!! I love the ones who send a like on your profile but, set their mail settings so you can't mail or inquire what they may like. Such as you have to be a certain age or live in specific countries or must be single or not looking or married or looking for intimate encounters. The issue is how is anyone to find out what people are about if one sets unrealistic conditions. They ultimate sabotage their efforts in finding someone right from the start.
If it weren't for my pals Johnny red or black or my dear old granddad I wouldn't have any friends at all!! They at least one can count on then most people here!! To be honest can't drink like I used to it caused too much heart trouble and landing me in surgery to get it fixed!! They can fix hearts physically but can't fix them emotionally!!
