Well, I don't know about other people, but, MY fist dates happen after A LOT of chatting, long calls... So, by the time that first date happens (again, in my case) we probably would have talked about any aspects surrounding the date and any apprehensions any of us could have... BUT, that's just the way it works with me...
I don't like the idea at all... It takes away any trace of spontaneity from the date itself... It's all practiced and rehearsed... Nope... I want him to see me blushing, being clumsy... I don't need or want to be an expert on flirting or dating... I am only interested in being ME... Good, bad, and all the rest... Just perfect!...
Firstly to women....would you date a man...who is 9 inches shorter than you? Would you date a man the same height as you? would you only date a man who is 6ft plus?"
I have never and would never date a man shorter than me... Just like I have never and would never date a man younger than me... I don't think I would date a man the same height as me... That's still too short... I would date a man at least 10 cms taller than me...
"The automation of agriculture is changing the way farmers work, increasing efficiency of the world's food production "for an ever-growing human population""... I wonder what that ever-growing human population will do with such an incredible amount of free time, due to robots performing all the activities humans previously performed... I don't want to see that kind of future... Such a cold, impersonal future... Nope, not for me...
It's so sweet to read that you take the time to teach your Mum how to make her soup... My favorite one is chicken soup, and I eat it almost all the time... It's delicious... I put a little bed of finely chopped celery in a stock pot... Then, I add a layer of brocoli flowerets... After that, I place two whole chicken breasts... Then, I cut two green bell peppers, two zucchinis, three potatoes, two carrots, four onions; all of them, finely chopped... After that, I add water to cover all the ingredients and cook it until the breasts are super soft... Then, I take the chicken breasts out, and separate them in bite size pieces/chunks... I return them to the pot and I add a little more water, if needed (Depends on your Mum's taste)... When that new water starts boiling, I turn off the heat and add like 3/4 cup of finely chopped fresh cilantro... I stir it and let it rest for like 20 minutes... D-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s... I don't use salt or any seasonings, because to me, it does not need them, but, as I said, it depends on your Mum's taste and preferences...
Wow... This is such a powerful tune... I just found this on the web... An Argentinian gentleman teaching how to play OUR absolutely AMAZING "Polo Margariteño" (From our Margarita Island)... He says it's such a beautiful tune... And I can't agree more... This is something that would make me stop anywhere to listen to it and feel the immense love for this country of mine... I love you, Venezuela!... With every single bit of my heart... I don't exactly like the way he sings, BUT, I l-o-v-e the way he plays it from 4:36...
I have been laughing so hard, since the first moment you posted this thread... Knowing you, it had to be one of your crazy, super funny, threads... But, I didn't want to spoil it, saying anything... You are as terrible as adorable!...
Omg, her loud laugh... Her beautiful black hair and green eyes (She was constantly told she looked like Elizabeth Taylor)... Her wonderful sense of humor and super funny, inappropriate jokes... Her unbelievable and devoted love... Her ability to foresee things nobody would even consider, when dealing with problems... Her unbelievably kind heart... How smart she was in the business area... Her huge hunger for knowledge (had a book for everything)... The special word she invented to call all of us... What a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, sister and grandmother she was... And above all, how much her baby (Me) misses her...
You reminded me of my grandmother... Whenever we were at the table, she would tell us (the kids) after anyone said or did anything inappropriate: "Don't forget to talk about nice things at the table... Let's talk about flowers and butterflies!"... She was so cute and refined and super funny!... Everything had to be coordinated and her napkins were linen ones and silverware and crystal glasses...
RE: Have you ever been on a "mock" date?
*first dates, not fist...
