Ricardo Montaner... Born in Argentina... Came here and couldn't leave... Always says he is not Venezuelan, but, MARACUCHO... Which means from my hometown... Maracaibo... My city... My town... My home... My love!...
It's said Billy Joel told these guys their cover was even better than his song... If he said that, I have to give him a bear hug and AGREE... What a beautiful voice Alexis Peña has... I love you, Venezuela!...
I love that song, Galrads... Today, November 18, is the day of our Holy Virgin of Chiquinquirá... We call her "Chinita"... And that gaita is titled: "The chosen one" and it's about her... I can't even try to sing it, because it always makes me want to cry...
Well, I am grateful to have been with a person that went from having studied until 9th grade, to obtaining a Masters Degree and with tears in his eyes he said in front of all of his classmates, that there was a very rare person that was his inspiration to achieve all his goals and that was me... So, that was like a caress to my soul...
P.S. I prefer to walk by the side or holding the hand of my love and not behind him...
Well, everyone is different... I would never and have never seen marriage as a career... I have deep respect for the institution of marriage... Especially coming from a family where my parents were married for over 54 years... Of all the times I have been asked to get married, I never said yes, because I didn't see myself forever with any of those nine gentlemen... And I am not the kind of person that's with anyone, just to have someone by her side...
I wanted to be everything... An astronomer... A doctor, to save lives... A vet, to save all the animals... A model, because my Mom always said I could never see a mirror, without spending hours looking at myself... A SWAT team member... A psychologist, but I quit, for love (I need to post that in the "What would you never do again", thread because that would have been my third Bachelor Degree)... An actress... A fashion jewelry designer...
First one, "Subidón", means "Rush"... And she wonders what the object of her love has, that intoxicates her, charges her batteries and gives her a rush every time she is around him or kisses him... Second one, "Between the sea and a star" is about a love that passed away... She sings about their perfect love story in which a goodbye was never even thought of, and she lights up candles to ask God when her love will be back... Both songs are so beautiful and heartfelt... And regarding speaking more than one's native language, that's one thing I love about mixed families... You not only get to speak a second language but you embrace another culture and create a new one that's absolutely unique and enriched by all the wonderful details of each one of those two cultures... It's amazing... Thank you, for always being so sweet and I hope you have a wonderful rest of the day...
