The short answer to this is YES. The term 'scammer' seems to be flung around quite often. Considering though, your initial comment about the couple in question; perhaps the interest level was'nt as high for the male as the female thought. It is easy sometimes to misread people and their thoughts and intentions. That appears to me to be what has happened here.
The guy probably saw something deveoping between the two of them that he was'nt prepared to committ himself to. He could have cared for her very much, but not as much as she thought.

I don't see why people are so blind to what is really going on. I think a lot of people are being very short sighted. They are seeing what they want to see and it is all a smoke screen. One day soon, alight is going to come on in their heads and they will be saying,"What the f--k just happened."

The letter was NOT anonymous, the lady's name and addres were posted also. There was also her phone AND fax number sent to me which I did not post. Her letter was anything BUT anonymous. Look again on pg 1 about 2 or 3 post down.

Please tell me how MY tax dollar is making MY country and MYSELF better by sending a crew of people 400 miles into space to change a battery and clean a lens of a telescope. Just how has that tax dollar enhanced and enriched my life? Is the Hubble Telescope going to pay into MY Social Security, MY Medicare? Is it going to put food on MY table, pay for MY bills? That's one hell of a important program, I just don't quite understand what that telescope is doing for ME. Perhaps you can enlighten me.
