This suggests that the overall clinical consequences of Covid-19 may ultimately be more akin to those of a severe seasonal influenza (which has a case fatality rate of approximately 0.1%) or a pandemic influenza (similar to those in 1957 and 1968) rather than a disease similar to SARS or MERS, which have had case fatality rates of 9 to 10% and 36%, respectively.

COVID-19 was a POTENTIALLY MUCH LARGER health emergency than it is turning out to be but the measures taken to avoid the OVERLOAD and subsequent toppling of our healthcare system -- which clearly wasn't ready for the number of respirators, hospital beds, and other medical supplies and devices a coronavirus outbreak REQUIRES -- have brought ECONOMIC DISASTER.
President Trump has already TAKEN MEASURES by halting funding to the World Health Organization officially for dropping the ball on alerting governments early on – but UNOFFICIALLY, for allegedly helping China keep a lid on this, until IT WASN'T POSSIBLE any longer.
I don't foresee any military conflict with China, but certainly to an intensification of the ones that are financial and diplomatic, in nature.
While germs are indeed microscopic... there are even finer entities that are intangible. Entities like the human spirit. If you were able to speed up time... (much like turning on a fan; while off the blades are visible but on high speed its as if there's nothing there at all), you would be able to see that this physical world is nothing but a soup of molecules without form and many other finer entities those we deem 'invisible' exist in our world.
