We had bar-b-que ribs tonight and french fries and roasted corn and lots and lots and lots of paper towels. Last night I made chicken fried steaks w/ mashed taters and cream style gravy and corn on the cob and a salad. I'm a cooking fool!
Me three. I keep mine in my car and only put it on when I go inside somewhere like the post office or grocery shopping and then at the very last moment, right before I walk in.
I just got one of my fathers day presents late yesterday (my daughter did call and say it would be arriving late) My daughter and my son-in-law attended the Scottish Highland Games and purchased a carved family crest of my last name. Its large and gorgeous! And will have an honored position above my fire place.
The Bolton book IS VERY detailed. Over 500 pages. How did Bolton write this book? In an interview Bolton said he took 'lots of notes'. He claims he destroyed his notes prior to leaving (getting fired) from his position in the administration. So how does one go back to fill in all the details of a book (500 pages worth) without notes? Bolton's answer... "This was the best recollection that I can remember"
The administration says it did not destroy any of Bolton's notes. If Bolton destroyed his notes... that would be a violation of the Presidential Records Act The question is once destroyed is that a problem for Bolton? Bolton doesn't seem to think so. Others disagree.
Bolton states he decided to write the book... while on the job. Bolton took the job in the administration under the trust of the President, knowing both agreeable and disagreeable conversations were going to happen inside the White House.
Fred Flites (Bolton's former Chief of Staff) said this "I don't believe that National Security Advisors should be revealing internal candid discussions with the President. The President has to know that whatever he says in those discussions won't be made public, and if he thinks they are going to be made public a president will not consult with experts and that's a very bad precedent."
Bolton left (was fired) from the administration in September and less than a year later his book deadline is completed.
Former spokesperson Sarah Sanders said "John Bolton was a classic case of someone drunk on power... who thought HE WAS the president. He was constantly pushing HIS OWN agenda which was all he cared about. The big problem for John Bolton was.. that's not how it works. He forgot that no one elected him to any thing and that it was President Trump and President Trump's agenda that mattered."
On the flip side...Liberals like 'Let them eat ice cream Nancy Pelosi' said "Bolton chose profit over patriotism" (The first time I agreed with her) Pencil neck Adam Schiff said "...By indicting President Trump, Bolton indicts himself for COWARDICE and GREED"
Bolton's book indicate Trump should've been impeached... but he failed to show up. Democrats pretty much called out Bolton as a coward... because during the impeachment trials he failed to come forward with anything that he supposedly knew. Instead of patriotism for his country he spoke out for a book deal. Therefore they doubt he was doing anything for the 'American people or the Constitution'
Bolton backtracked and said "He didn't think Trump should've been impeached." Grilled on that statement Bolton was reminded that in his book he wrote had he been a senator... he would've voted to convict.
The judge that ruled Bolton's book could be released also put in his decision some very stiff wording that Bolton has threatened national security and that there were real questions of what was being released. Some believe once its released there could be facing criminal liability. "Bolton has gambled with national security of the United States and exposed his country to harm and himself to criminal liability"
Upon the G-20 meeting where Bolton wrote in his book Trump ask China's Premier to purchase more agricultural products from the US (according to Bolton to guarantee Trump's re-election in those states) Amb. Robert Lighthizer a U.S. Trade Representative UNDER OATH said "Absolutely untrue!" and unlike Bolton's book Ambassador Lighthizer was under oath.
Bolton's book also cites Secretary of State Pompeo with agreeing with Bolton. Pompeo has come out calling Bolton "A traitor" and that Pompeo celebrated the day when Bolton left the White House.
The main problem of the book itself is there are too many inaccuracies, anyone can say I wrote a book of 500 pages.... without notes 'ahem'... to the best of my recollection.
On Monday, President Donald Trump announced that a new stimulus package will be announced in the next "couple of weeks" as he stated that the package will be "very generous."
The comments from the president came during a sit down interview with Washington correspondent for Scripps, Joe St. George.
St. George: I have a lot of viewers in Florida, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, who are still struggling economically, sir. They spent all of that first stimulus check, are you going to get them a second stimulus check?
Trump: Yeah, we are. We are. Look we had this —
St. George: When? When are you going to get it?
Trump: We had this going better than anybody’s ever seen before. We had the best job numbers, the best economics, the best economy we’ve ever had, and then we had the virus come in from China. Now we’re rebuilding it again. We will be doing another stimulus package. It’ll be very good; it’ll be very generous, and people—
St. George: How much? People want to know.
Trump: You’ll find out about it. You’ll find out.
“When asked for clarification, the White House press office responded by sending a transcript of the interview,” Forbes reported after they reached out to the White House to ask if another round of stimulus checks is in the works.
“President Trump has signaled his openness to the idea of more checks before, as has the White House, though he has been more enthusiastic about the prospect of a payroll tax cut to prop up the labor market instead,” Forbes added.
Check out what the Daily Wire reported:
The House has already passed a bill that calls for a stimulus check similar to the one available in the Cares Act — a $1,200 check for adults and as many as three child dependents. That means a family of two adults and three children would qualify for a $6,000 stimulus check. But the price tag is hefty: $3 trillion.
The bill is unlikely to pass the Republican-controlled Senate, where Leader Mitch McConnell is looking for a lower price tag, around $1 trillion. Both sides are expected to renew negotiations soon.
Under the Cares Act, individuals were eligible for payments up to $1,200, but that amount declined for those with an adjusted gross income higher than $75,000 a year. The $1,200 payment dropped by 5% of every dollar above $75,000, or $50 for every $1,000.
The benefit didn’t apply for individuals with incomes over $99,000.
Married couples with combined incomes up to $150,000 received $2,400, subject to the same phase-out that applies to individuals. The payments were phased out entirely for couples making $198,000 or more. Families also got $500 per dependent child under the age of 16.
About 120 million U.S. taxpayers qualified for direct payments from the federal government under the bill, according to an analysis by one think tank.
Unfortunately mine is about 10 years old. I grew my hair and beard long ... (wore it in a long braided pony tail) but recently cut it short. There's more grey in my beard these days and on both sides of my head. I'd update... but I'm usually the one taking photos. I need to update. But why? I'm not in dating mode anyways. I'm in opinionated mode.
I used to do it when I was in my 20's. Women appreciated back then and would just smile. These days I might just say 'Damn you are a good looking woman!"
I think the problem was too many ugly men were doing it.
