I believe that the most perfect "soul mates",can get on each others nerves at times.Thats just part of life.

My folks. Married 47 years,.as an example."Get on each others nerves at times".
Your friend should get over him.But also ,maybe he married in haste.
With the divorce rates as high as they are ,theres a 50/50 chance of him being "available" at some point.

It's like i mentioned before.Common goals and interests.Offsetting each others weakness.Trust,Respect.Dignity.Maintenance requirements.Compatibility
Ultimately, peaceful coexistence.Tolerance.

Certain types of people gravitate towards each other though,and this "true love",can be built.
