I think it can also depend on how much someone cares for the other person...perhaps how much in love they are--with one person, someone he/she is not so 'in love' with , they may seem to be more of a taker, but when they are with someoe with whom they are very in love, they may seem to be more of a giver....
Actually, a version of this is not such a bad idea. When I had a cat, I had at one time a wicker sofa and at another a futon sofa. Neither is upholstered, nothing for the cat to scratch. He learned to scratch on a scratching post, and when I did get a upholstered sofa, he left it alone.
This is what I've heard people saying...usually say...I have to say, people who are usually older or more 'experienced' at life than I. Hence why I asked the question...trying to get more opinions. But most people here seem to be saying it isn't true, primarilly because you can't measure something as abstract as love. However, just in observing people, it does seem it can appear that one loves the other more.....
It's raining here...and late, well sort a, but I'm tired and need to make myself go to bed soon...otherwise alles gut... i would like to be bad...but no hope of that anytime soon...
I think people do give up too easily...they 'fall' in love and when things are not wonderful all the time, or when something is hurtful, they just give up. We expect too much from each other and from the love relationship itself.
Love
