Personally I give the benefit of the doubt when there is no pic that it's for a genuine reason, however you could say I have been stung .
Contacted by a lady and reciprocated, got to the point of asking how come no picture ? I'm a private person I was told I thought OK fair enough . anyway to cut a long story short when I did receive a picture it turned out to be a picture of her sister
Situations like that would make you more skeptical , but to be fair I have more of a problem with the amount of scammers on this as made clear on my profile description.
