I always admired her love for children...and how she would bend to look them in the eyes when she talked to them.
She also went to hospitals and physically AIDS patients when the world was ostracizing them. She raised money for AIDS research and helped take the stigma from the disease.
The impact she had on me...thankful I am not famous..and do not have the paparazzi hounding me to death.
I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your cousin...may you remember him with all goodness he was. Take the time to grieve and give to those all around you all that he was to you.
I do understand you speaking up for the ones who are oppressed.
I will say, that I have been too sensitive to gay jokes....I was offended by this clip on The View...
So, I asked my son if it offended him...He said it is the way his friends would kid around with him..and, he was fine with it. It did not offend him...And, his friends are truly good people....They walk the walk..not just speak it...So, if it doesn’t offend him..I realized it shouldn’t offend me.
It is the intent that we need to understand...and, without actually knowing the person in the real world....we make our judgements by our own feelings....
