Under my thumb, the girl who once had me down Under my thumb, the girl who once pushed me around
It’s down to me The difference in the clothes she wears Down to me, the change has come, she’s under my thumb
Ain’t it the truth, babe?
Under my thumb, is a squirmin’ dog who’s just had her day Under my thumb, a girl who has just changed her ways
It’s down to me, yes, it is, The way she does just what she’s told Down to me, the change has come, she’s under my thumb
Ah, Ah, say it’s alright
Under my thumb, is a Siamese cat of a girl Under my thumb, she’s the sweetest, hmmm, pet in the world
It’s down to me The way she talks when she’s spoken to Down to me, the change has come, she’s under my thumb
Ah, oh, take it easy babe Yeah
Under my thumb Her eyes are just kept to herself Under my thumb, well, I, I can still look at someone else
It’s down to me, oh, that’s what I said, The way she talks when she’s spoken to Down to me, the change has come, She’s under my thumb Say, it’s alright
* And, this is an answer to your other thread....Where are all the women...
I used to watch horror movies every Friday night with my dad. They didn’t start until 11:30 PM...Shock Armstrong was the host..I have good memories of it..My dad used to try to scare me all the time.
And, to think..when I read this I thought...she was losing weight and tired from grieving the loss of her husband...after so many years together..who wouldn’t?
Violence as a way of achieving racial justice is both impractical and immoral. It is impractical because it is a descending spiral ending in destruction for all. It is immoral because it seeks to humiliate the opponent rather than win his understanding; it seeks to annihilate rather than to convert. Violence is immoral because it thrives on hatred rather than love.
Recently watched this movie..I put it up there with The Shawshank Redemption in terms of a story of friendship...that grows...despite the many differences.
