How would you feel...

Apparently a lot of men who are closet gays desperately want to have 'regular' lives, so they do the things that society expects of them. Getting married, having kids etc. It seems some of them cannot handle living a lie forever, so they come out. Thinking about it, it must be an awful way to live....like, you've got this secret that you have to hide from the world.

How would you feel...

Agreed. I've known of two similar situations in the past. I think it would be exceedingly difficult not to feel betrayed. Unconscionable.

How would you feel...

...if your long-time partner came out and admitted they were gay?

Would you feel betrayal?

Would you accept to save the relationship?

Would you be understanding, but want to move on and find someone new?

RE: A Canadian girl in Pakistan ! Why Pakistan ?

Pakistan has a horrific track record for women's rights, as does India.

So I suppose you felt that they didn't want you around, you felt rejected? Or was there another reason?

I love vinegar. I use it to clean everything....instead of vicious destructive chemicals. Clean my espresso machine, toilets, washing machine, drains...
How about balsamico??....what would a salad be without it?
And of course the mildest version of a 'vinegar' - lemon juice. I juice everything with it.

RE: Television/sitcom families

Cheers, and the cast with Ted Danson. Because they sit around all the time making funny jokes and drinking beer. laugh

RE: Childhood privelages

So true. I only realised later that the greatest gift parents can bestow on children is confidence. Without that, you are sending damaged goods out into the world.

RE: TGIF

Gal, I aspired to be a plumber, but I got too few commissions to make it work. Then my monkey wrench rusted up, so I took up being a keyboard warrior. laugh

RE: Childhood privelages

Privelages? (sic)....seriously, rare for me tbh, but my one overriding privilege, is being raised by parents who gave me the feeling that I were talented, full of potential. Flawed, perhaps, but talented. This gives one the belief that, because the world inside the family circle is positive and supportive, the wider world without will be simply a larger version thereof. Becoming an adult means embracing the realisation that that is not the case.

RE: TGIF

Ah, I like a woman with ambition. thumbs up
