Every woman thinks different. It sometimes depends on culture or even class. Paying for dinner is not quite like flashing her your American Express gold card. Why would a dinner be equated with a cash machine?
So let me get this right ... you think that women should get naked on women's day in order to help get their message across? Where's a rolling pin when you need one?
Yes! Turning the tide is the goal. But then a balance needs to be achieved ... Getting naked may or may not come into it
I'm observing that people mix up equal (human) rights with "becoming the other gender". Everyone should "become"... but only the best of who they are ...
On Internal Women's Day, when women get together (especially) and or go to conferences, and/or catch with one another, they draw strength from one another. It's a "I hear you and see you Sister day" ... if it also makes a few more people aware then even better!!
International women day is multifaceted and multipurpose. It might not look like much is being done in our society because so much has already been achieved, but in other countries it has a completely different impact.
I hear what you mean about "designated days for things" ... So if all designated days were abolished then may be Women Day could be abolished too
"Equality day" is on its way I think. But till now, women needed to make a bit of noise in order to actually be heard and listened to. I'm sure I don't need to go into all the reasons why ...
I didn't know that "to be strong" has a gender. Are you talking about physical strength? Because the word strong has several meanings. Its also means to be resilient which many many women are. It has never been known to cut off supply to women's femininity.
For all humans to have equal human rights has nothing to do with gender and everything to do with balance. In my opinion nobody should be telling anyone else how they should live their life.
I don't believe there should be an expectation than anyone gender should dominate over another. People should decide between them how they want their relationship to be.
And both women and men should work on healing the unhealthy ancestral gender patterns passed on from generation to generation. The goal being to be able to have a healthy relationship with others irrespective of their gender. Gender stereotyping has never served anyone. In my opinion
Everyone's intitled to their delusions! My guess however, is that successful women would not hang out anywhere you do and so your knowledge about them is very limited.
A woman's place is wherever she chooses to be. Whatever choice she makes for herself as a way of life should be respected.
People who have an ideology of how women shouod be should go hang out with women whose choices are a match with their ideology rather than make all women fit the criteria of their ideology
