Hi Bod.. I still can't see why would somebody buy such machine (probably at an extortionate price?) to achieve results such as seeing colours and deep states of consciousness...etc..something that you can do without any machine??
You just need to train yourself to go into theta waves - without any outside help - something I've learned to do. (Without any substance!).
Ohhh...that sounds posh? Don't you have any sun in there?
Mine is very bright and sunny but small. I have a pale lilac with pine furniture and cream tiles on the floor. The colours tend to make the room look a bit bigger.
Hello Tara.. Yes, as you say, colours do affect most people whether they're aware of it or not.
When I first came here, the first thing that struck me was to see people wearing black at weddings!! I thought it was a funeral!
When I lived in Germany, I often wore white trousers, or red and turquoise in the winter months. The winter being so depressive colourful clothes cheered me up.
Here, I have a pale bright green in my living room and pale lilac in the bedrooms.
I'm not trying to make you jealous, Tom. You're welcome to visit my little paradise if you wish? I was thinking of going for a boat trip this week to see the dolphins and, hopefully, the pilot whales.
Yes, I've heard about synesthesia. Sometimes I see a whole range of colours when playing the piano, but not single notes.
As for auras, yes I do too, especially around animals and plants. With people, I do sometimes, but I feel the energy, rather than seeing it. Dan
Why is colour such a powerful force in our lives? What effects can it have on our bodies and minds?
While perceptions of colour are somewhat subjective, there are some colour effects that have universal meaning.
Shades of red in the colour spectrum are known as warm colours and include red, orange, and yellow. These warm colours evoke emotions ranging from feelings of warmth and comfort to feelings of anger and hostility.
Colours on the blue side of the spectrum are known as cool colours and include blue, purple, and green. These colours are often described as calm, peaceful and healing, but can also be feelings of sadness or indifference.
How do people respond to different colours?
Do colours affect your moods and vice versa?
Here in Spain, where the weather is sunny and hot most the year, people mostly wear dark colours (black, brown). The tourists stand out because of the bright colours they wear.
In Africa, where it´s also hot, traditional dress is brightly coloured.
What colours do you wear in the winter?...in the summer?....
What colours are your walls in your house?.... bed linen? Etc..
When out in nature, can you blend in like a chameleon to fit your surroundings?
