The film " EQUILIBRIUM" ( saw it 2 weeks ago) where all emotions and feelings are not allowed as well as books, art..etc.. And the punishment is the death penalty.
Think of the wearing of the masks hiding our faces and our smile... As well as the distancing where socialising is not encouraged??? Or...we get punished with heavy fines!
Btw..I've managed to watch the one with the orcas, which I had to pay for, but a bit difficult to understand the guy with no subtitles as he was Argentinean.
I wasn't quite sure about the end if the boy drowned or not...but I did some research as it is a true story.
Some Sci-Fi - Star Trek series, amongst others - in which, over the years, several features such as cell phones, automatic doors, and many others have been shown and then, several years later, appear in reality.
Did someone have a glimpse into the future to predict these things?
There´s another side of this coin, because other films portray totally disastrous situations, happening worldwide and in the future, such as: “Manifest”, “The Hunger Games”, “The Thinning”, “Handmaid´s Tale”, “In Time”, "Equilibrium” and many more, predicting planet earth under the control of authoritarian governments and with the intent on reducing the population, and totally controlling those deemed fit to survive.
Should we regard this as pure entertainment?... Fear-mongering?.... or... Someone giving us “Fair warning of their intent”?
NB. Many of those who see it as a Harbinger, stress the many mistakes humanity is making and continue to make. So, the question is, will our self-destructive ways eventually lead to our demise?
Lee, IMHO..if you're a kind person and perform acts of kindness and good deeds, there is no need to advertise for it!
We learn to do this WITHOUT ATTACHMENTS TO THE RESULTS.
Therefore, making a list of all the acts of kindness we have done during the course of our life would mean that we are still ATTACHED to it and giving it some energy.
RE: Face nappies, muzzles, submission and an end to job security
You should come to spain and see for yourself Bod?We have Tesco here and 2 of the staff told me off for not covering my nose!.
And other supermarkets too, when I was checking out.
As for public transport, well...buses are running half empty because of the distancing and masks must be worn or they won't let you in!
Most people are taking it very seriously as they're either frightened of catching the virus...
Or getting fine!
And yet...we have the highest number of contagious in Europe!!
Now many regions, including Madrid, are back on lockdown again!
