RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

You have understand grief hits everyone differently and if that is how she is coping, well let her be. I am not a fan of hers but I think she is craving attention like she has all her life! I joined this thread supporting the poor boy, who took his own life as an end to his pain, whatever that was.

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

When someone dies by suicide it leaves that big Why??? We will never know why this poor boy decided to end his life, just like all those other men and women who died by suicide.
You are only assuming and blaming his mother.

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

You seem to forget that child had a father, you just blame his mother! I also told you he was under his father’s care but you glossed over that fact too.

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

Maybe you need to go and read up on this sad story of a poor lad who found suicide the answer to end his pain.
You have taken bits here there and everywhere, dissected them, started blaming his mother then not no what 24/7 watch is, but when it comes down to it, you don’t know the full story!!

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

Thanks Geno hug teddybear

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

He was living with his father.

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

In Ireland he was still classed as a minor, he was under the age of 18!
So the authorities let him down, by not taking better care of him, but I don’t blame the staff that were looking after him on ground level as they are ran off their feet trying their best, paid peanuts while the big shots up at a higher level and better pay push where the funds go! So someone loses out and sadly this poor lad is the result!!

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

Well answer me this if you broke your leg on a Friday evening around 6.30pm what would you do??
Go to the hospital they give you pain relief and they X-ray it then tell you the plan they are going to do for your leg, so you plastered up sent home with all appropriate appointments to come back to the hospital.
Now go to the same hospital at the same time with a broken mind and are told “ ohh there’s no one here to help you come back on Monday and talk to someone, but until then you are still in pain and left with no hope!!
It’s sad to see you have no compassion.

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

You missed my point when stating was I to blame his mother for his suicide?
I can safely say that you take 100 people who have died by suicide about 80 of them could have be saved, with the proper care and guidance, we will never save all but there is no proper help for any mental illness and that how suicide seems the solution to a broken minds pain.

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

Thank you Selenite hug teddybear kiss

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

So I am I taking from your quote that every person who dies by suicide, their parents have to take the blame???
Because my husband was 41 when he died by suicide and I never blamed his mother. I didn’t even know my husband was depressed!
I do suicide bereavement support and see the pain families are left after a death by suicide, any death is bad but death by suicide has a sting like no other death.
As I have said before “walk a mile in any one’s shoes and then criticize them!”
I have met parents who would have sold their soul to help save their children but couldn’t!
I feel you have never experienced loss to mental health issues or suicide and for that I think you are lucky, please be aware that’s a fine line between sanity and insanity.
Sorry I hope I haven’t offended anyone but I do speak from the heart.

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

I am not blaming authorities or as I would say services, they are under funded and understaffed, the state have a lot to answer to, by cutting the suicide prevention grants and suicide prevention officers many years ago to save money but not lives.

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

So true epirb!
I have to say this thread is about a mother who lost her son to suicide and highlighting how our nation treats mental illnesses. I am not a fan of Sinead o Connor but it’s true in what she is saying, remember he was her son and she is grieving his loss, no matter. Walk a mile in her shoes and then criticize her.
I lost someone I loved to suicide and it’s not a nice place to be or live with, just my little opinion
sigh

RE: When are you going to update a new photo?

RE: Covid passports

Tom my daughter is an ICU nurse and she advised all of my family, to act as if no one is safe, the vaccine is to protect us against or if we do get the virus, to give us a chance fighting it. It’s people’s complacency, what is not helping lowering the infection rates.
