So nice to find another person that loves home cooking. I used to make 3 puddings form an old Keith Floyd recipe every year. Eat one ,give one a way and keep one but now the family has dispersed I don't bother so much . Just chutneys ,jams and spiced red cabbage which I freeze and use as and when.
The Royal Navy was called in to help Border Force to tackle the increase in cross-Channel migrants as more arrived yesterday.
A specialist team is to provide help with the planning and logistics of daily operations but sources at the Ministry of Defence insisted that Border Force staff would remain in the front line of efforts to counter crossings and assist migrants on dinghies.
A Whitehall source said that there was no intention “at this point” to deploy naval vessels to deal with the steady stream of migrants making the 21-mile trip from France to the UK.
What makes me laugh is that people forget about the old men who used to bring "wives" in from other countries such as Vietnam and the Philippines most of whom were just looking for a " passport"

Monday had the builder in to sort out a few jobs, also sorted myself out with a yearly G.P. review and a Flu jab all booked in.
Tuesday tried to sort out a collection of curtains that were inferior. If they don't collect the machine comes out and I'll be cutting them up for cushions etc.
Wednesday finally got on a Bus after 9 months. Weird or what.
Thursday got my new Mobile phone up and running at last
Friday rain stopped play.
Saturday shopping delivery and social distance visit to a pal.
Sunday . Stuck it to G.B on the " Does age matter thread" He's like a broken record.
Finally here's a piccie of today's effort. If the connoisseur of cookery namely T.C pops in and complains about the roasties being undercooked you can tell him I cooked it for me not him. The spiced red cabbage is home made to go with the lamb leg steak.
