Until this incident settles and the outrage of the incident calms down I guess we will never know.
The Police are going to be extremely careful about what they divulge for fear of further back lash. Whatever happened prior to this incident ,a law enforcement officer firing 7 bullets into a man's back is going to be extremely hard to explain. J.M.O.
A key eyewitness in the police shooting of Jacob Blake on Sunday in Kenosha, Wisconsin, says that police told Blake to “drop the knife,” though he himself did not see Blake carrying a knife at the time.
The eyewitness has been identified by the Associated Press as Raysean White, and as the person who made the original cell phone video of the shooting.
My thoughts are with you Secret. I have a family member battling pancreatic cancer which is metastatic. In metastasis, cancer cells break away from where they first formed (primary cancer), travel through the blood or lymph system, and form new tumors (metastatic tumors) in other parts of the body. The metastatic tumor is the same type of cancer as the primary tumor. He was given 3 months.
He is now on his 4th lot of chemo as the first inputs shrunk the pancreatic tumour but spread the metastasis. In 2 weeks he has a full body scan and will know what his prospects are.
How long have you been a member on here.? Long enough to know that nothing is going to change , it will always be a hornet's nest and you either take protection and keep away from conflict or get stung in the process.
I posted the video of the incident but like some you may not be able to view it. All I know is what I have read in the media and the video. He was delivering gifts to his pal on the estate for his child ,a fight broke out and he separated the women then went to his car to presumably leave.
As for reaching for a weapon with 2 guns already pointed at him who knows but I find it hard to believe with his kids in the car.
As always my point has been about the amount of bullets in a man's back which is unreasonable force. Just my opinion of course.
Thanks rohaan I guess we have officers over here with the same attitude but ours are unarmed as you know. Our problem is knifing which can be just as dangerous.
I guess if someone had not called the police over 2 women supposedly fighting none of this would have happened.
Surely those kids would have been screaming with fear after the first shot was what I was trying to get across same as the amount of ammo pumped into a man' back to bring him down.
This is my argument NOT that they shot him but the number of bullets ,as some are now saying 8.
The police would certainly have known there were kids in the car after the first shot as they were screaming. He never turned his head to look in the back of the car just kept pumping bullets into the victim. That smacks of termination.
We know that Mickey by the amount of shootings that take place in an on School property. Nothing to be proud of as 65% of those were committed by white people and 21% by black seeing as you are hell bent on bringing colour into the agenda.
Personally I cannot believe the guy would be stupid enough to reach for a gun when he had one almost in his back and the other cop perched at the side again with a gun pointed at him.
I also find it hard to believe that he would put his 3 kids at risk of being killed and who were terrified and screaming Of course it's just an opinion from a female and a Mother's point of view.
My whole point in this was the number of bullets released from the policeman's gun to down a man black or white ,as it's not about colour as far as I am concerned , not his criminal record or what he may or may not have been planning to do it's the amount of violence used by a law enforcement officer.
If this is how Americans want to live then I'm glad I live across the pond to be honest.
Hardly violent. Yes he had a record, but do you see that as a right to almost execute him. Do you honestly find it acceptable to shoot a man in the back at close quarters 7 times and now I believe they say it was 8.
He's alive at the moment but paralysed from the waist down Speaks volumes about excessive force to me and totally unnecessary.. That is the point I ma trying to make.
I've just watched the video of Jacob Blake and am horrified that a policeman could do this at close range to another human being.
I only know what has been in the media e.g. the man had just broken up a fight between 2 women and was returning to his car where his 3 kids were waiting so await further details but this video is appalling as the man was grabbed and shot at close range 7 times.
What is wrong with people if they find this acceptable .
They are such alert creatures and she really could be a therapy dog as she is so calm around people. Even a hearing dog as she notifies me of every sound. sad to say that she is nervous of metal noises or the F word [ my builder used it once] Think that's due to being caged and used as a breeding dog
Many people think she is a Pomeranian but a true Pom is small and Cherie is a much bigger .Pomeranians are quite yappy dogs too and Cherie is quiet unless someone comes in the gate or the phone rings.
I've taken Conrad's tip now and it's much easier, but thanks for the heads up as I was so frustrated at not being able to post. Watch the chuckle site .
Wow serene thanks for that. What a beauty. I can see the mischief in him. They just love tearing about and being active. Cherie not happy today as we have a storm circling and heavy rain.
7 shots close range in the back.
