RE: 3 hostages killed by IDF

Here's an interesting link to the fact that Gaza has been continually attacked since the Israeli withdrawal in 2005.

RE: 3 hostages killed by IDF

The highlighted passage says it all. I got kicked to the kerb for daring to speak out against Israel's attitude so here's hoping yours is accepted.handshake

RE: 3 hostages killed by IDF

Israel still controls the Gaza strip even after 2005. Do some homework on where Gaza's main water and electricity comes from and how they have struggled for years with poor quality water and a lack of electricity.

You have a fixed mindset whereas I try to see both sides . Yes Hamas may be behind a lot of this conflict but empathy must surely be given to the innocents just trying to exist or do you presume that the whole nation are terrorists.

dunno

RE: 3 hostages killed by IDF

Here's a good read if you are interested. You'll need to copy and paste the link to read it.Seems they are already in control and before this latest development.

RE: 3 hostages killed by IDF

Quote from Benjamin Netanyahu

"After we have eradicated Hamas and Gaza will be demilitarised under the control of Israel there will be no-one who will educate their children to annihilate Israel," he added.

What does that say to you ?

RE: 3 hostages killed by IDF

There you have it, a suppressed nation in the centre of a war between Israel and Hamas. You can rebuild bricks and mortar but how do you rebuild people and regain trust.

sigh

RE: 3 hostages killed by IDF

No I am saying that the country is almost uninhabitable as Gaza has reached the point of no return,or do you disagree . Where and what are all these displaced people who were told to get out returning to ? A country that is now almost uninhabitable.sigh

RE: 3 hostages killed by IDF

Let’s assume the bombing stops tomorrow. Most homes are uninhabitable – where do you send all these people? How do you provide for them? Where are the shops, the schools, the universities, the hospitals?

It will take years to even get to a place resembling a life, where do people go in the meantime?

Why would you not bother to correct us if your information is the true version.confused Please don't assume that you know what I need either.I thought you stated that you don't judge others in another post.

Not much point entering a discussion if you just argue the toss to be honest.I'm always willing to learn from others even as an" old lady " as you once labelled me.

RE: 3 hostages killed by IDF

The U.K is of the same opinion

"Israel-Hamas war: David Cameron calls for lasting peace piling more pressure on Netanyahu"

It is widely accepted that the most likely solution to the conflict is a "two-state solution": in other words, the creation of a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza. Do you think this would resolve the ongoing conflict.?

RE: 3 hostages killed by IDF

Just read this article and I'm wondering what your opinion would be.

RE: US vetoes ceasefire in Gaza

What are the humanitarian conditions in Gaza?

All of Gaza's 2.3 million inhabitants lack sufficient food and clean water, and face malnutrition. Given the extent of damage to civilian infrastructure in Gaza, including health facilities, water, and sanitation, the risk of disease outbreaks is very high.6 Dec 2023

RE: US vetoes ceasefire in Gaza

Prior to the takeover.

In 1979 it went from an Iranian government to an Islamic regime.

Key Differences Between Objective and Subjective

Objective means making an unbiased, balanced observation based on facts which can be verified.

Subjective means making assumptions, making interpretations based on personal opinions without any verifiable facts.

We should not be making assumptions about people based on our personal opinion and conception especially if we don't know them personally. There are many who can see both sides of any argument or cause especially on the Forums but it doesn't make them a narcissist because their opinion differs from yours.handshake

With apologies to the O.P.

The operative word is Allied in your post.

The Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the U.S.

Total Casualties

There has been great difficulty in estimating the total casualties in the Japanese cities as a result of the atomic bombing. The extensive destruction of civil installations (hospitals, fire and police department, and government agencies) the state of utter confusion immediately following the explosion, as well as the uncertainty regarding the actual population before the bombing, contribute to the difficulty of making estimates of casualties.

RE: Is Your President A Good Leader?

Thought this thread was about Political leaders confused

You moving the goal posts as the Monarchy have little or no say in the government of the U.K. The King is head of state and politically neutral.

RE: Is Your President A Good Leader?

You need to do some homework with regards to the Royal Family.

In terms of what they bring to the economy, the valuation consultancy group, Brand Finance, estimated that the monarchy helped boost the economy with a gross uplift of £1.76 billion in the year 2021/22.
