RE: Normal and genuine

A quick search will show you that there are 600 men aged between 37 and 46 on this site, who claim to live in the UK.

There's a very good chance that at least 1 of them will be normal, honest and genuine.

RE: What would you do first if you were invisible?

Funnny how invisibility brings out the worst in most people.

What's with all this killing, bank robbing, practical jokes, peeping, travelling for free at other people's expense etc etc etc??

I'd sell the rights to my story to the highest bidding newspaper and television channel.

In that way I'd make a lot of money without harming anyone as well as providing 5 minutes of entertainment for the readers and viewers.

Then, after that, I'd carry on living my life as best I could under the invisible circumstances.

RE: Good Boys always fall for the Badgirls

Why list your occupation as "transport warehouse" if you work in a bar?

Maybe it's an old pic?

Maybe he works in a bar part-time?

Maybe he's never worked in a bar - it's only a photo.

RE: Which Are You & Why?

I try to be a rainbow.

It's all about appropriate behaviour. Acting in a way that's best for any situation.

And you might find a crock of gold underneath me.

RE: Need your advise my friends!

Just say to him: "Let's meet up."

and see how he responds.

RE: Men

I prefer slim and athletic.

RE: How to Identify Where a Driver is From

One hand on wheel. One hand on family tree. 2 wives in passenger seats: Utah.

RE: How to Identify Where a Driver is From

Two hands on wheel, driver stressed, car not moving: London.

RE: How to Identify Where a Driver is From

Two hands on wheel, one foot on accelerator, one foot hovering over brake, doing 150mph on "Interstate": Germany.

RE: American Girl Looking For Love In the UK

Tera,

I think you'll enjoy your stay in the UK.

There are some things that the UK does very well:

Pub culture
Packing a lot of variety into a relatively small country
Lack of corruption
Variety of things to do - lots of sporting and cultural events
Mild winter and summer climate
Generally polite people

London is a great city - but can paradoxically be a lonely city

The service culture here isn't as good as the States'
And the cost of living a bit higher here - especially in London and the South East.

I would imagine that an attractive young lady like yourself will get plenty of offers from men on this webiste for long term relationships...

RE: where do you think is the cheapest and dearest country,in the world in which to live?

What about Norway:

UK average cost for a pint of lager £2.64
Norway: £6.05

UK cost for a litre of unleaded: £1.10
Norway £1.29

And they have North Sea oilfields too!

The UK's "good value for money" compared to "Rip-off Norway".

RE: where do you think is the cheapest and dearest country,in the world in which to live?

Monaco would be a good candidate for cheapest and dearest country (principality) in the world.

Dearest because a small apartment will cost you over a million euros.

Cheapest because there's no taxes. Fantastic!

RE: what is your favourite and least favourite, month of the year?

I love May. Usually warm but not too hot - in the UK.

Trees in blossom. The days are long and getting longer. Summer to look forward to. The climax of the football season. 2 Bank Holidays...

RE: Who has stuff?

c7000 lp's.

RE: ~~~ Do all women want long-term relationships ~~~

I think that most adult people - young and old, male and female - would like ideally to find the partner of their of their dreams and to have a loving long-term relationship with them.

But, in the meantime - until they find and catch that person - a lot of people will make do with shorter relationships...

Imagine if you met someone with film star looks, wealthy, charming, bright, funny, and who was crazy about you. You'd want to keep them for a long time wouldn't you?

And also, if I was a young woman I wouldn't admit on a website like this that I only wanted short term relationships for fear of attracting the wrong type of men.

RE: I realy hate them

Liver:

Leave it overnight in the fridge covered in red wine and mustard.

Chuck it all in a pan and cook for a few minutes.

Yummy.

And nothing at all like the liver you would have eaten for your school meals.

RE: if you could be anybody in the world you wanted to be & marry anybody in the world u wanted to marry

Helen Walton could have me too!

RE: if you could be anybody in the world you wanted to be & marry anybody in the world u wanted to marry

I could quite happily marry Liliane Bettencourt.

RE: Do you sign your Credit Card?

A lot of places in the world still don't have PIN verifiers. Also, sometimes they break down.

In these instances the old-fashioned way of signing a chit that may be checked against the signature on the card is still used.

If you don't sign your credit card, the thief puts their own signature on it and uses it at these places.

RE: what is your favourite tipple?

Variety is best.

But if i had to pick my favourites:

Old Eli - brewed at the Sair Inn
Timothy Taylor's Landlord more widely available beer
Gambrinus for lager

St Emillion Premier Grand Cru for wine.

RE: whats wrong with this country ? tell the truth now !

Economic recessions are just part of the natural economic cycle.

Remember, the average Brit will have a far higher standard of living during the depths of a recession than the average Cuban at the peak of their economic cycle.

There may be a lot wrong with this country, but there's also a lot that's very good about it too.

RE: Does anyone have any thoughts, stories, advice about landlords and broken computers?

The PSU's (power supply unit) blown. They cost less than £41 and are very easy to fit.

What a rip-off!

Why couldn't they just send you a replacement PSU with instructions on how to fit it?

It takes less than 15 minutes to swap a PSU, not 2 weeks.

RE: Does anyone have any thoughts, stories, advice about landlords and broken computers?

Computer: You've checked it's getting power (by swapping monitor and base-unit power leads? - could be a blown fuse or lose power lead)

Is the base unit dead when you try powering it up? Any LED's lit on it? If none - probably PSU is blown - get supplier to fix under guarantee.

If base unit looks and sounds OK - it's either a monitor (most likely or base unit graphics card problem. Get supplier to fix.

If it looks like PC goes through initial boot screens but Windows fails to start, does it come up with any error messages? It could be you've just got a corrupt operating system. In which case you'll need a Windows Operating System CD - and could fix the fault yourself.

Most PC's can be opened without leaving any trace. Also what does their "no tamper" policy mean? PC's are designed to be easy to upgrade with additional memory, disk drives, graphics cards etc. I wouldn't call this tampering but normal upgrading and customisation.

If you got your soldering iron out and made a few electronic changes to the motherboard, that would be tampering.

RE: in your opinion, what is the best country in the world, in which to live?

Some great choices here so far. I guess it all depends on your priorities in life.

New Zealand would probably be the safest country in the world in the event of a nuclear war.

Italy has probably the most attractive collection of villages, towns and cities.

The USA has the best service culture in the world.

Tropical countries with uplands like Kenya would have great all-year round climates.

The UK and Ireland has the best pub culture in the world.

Andorra, Macau and Japan have the highest life expectancy.

The Vatican City, Yemen, Singapore, Switzerland have very low crime rates.

Overall, the place that I like the best in the world is what I call the "Golden Rectangle" Southern France extending over to Austria via Monaco, Switzerland, Southern Germany, Northern Italy, Licthenstein. This includes: great wine regions, tax havens, great restaurants, great culture, historic cities, the Alps, Mediteranean beaches, industrial and finance centres, good climate, freedom of movement, low crime rates, low levels of corruption, high life expectancy...
But then Aus, NZ and USA offer most of these too and they're English Speaking...

Hey, what a wonderful world we live in!

RE: The Legacy of Bush&Blair?.

RE: can u fall in love with someone u have never met

This is an escerpt from the 10th letter I received from a woman who contacted me via the CS website:

I know this is short time we know each other but please believe me I can't keep my feelings to myself. Because my feelings are so strong to you. I have never met a man like you. Never. And now I don't want to pass my
chance because... I don't know how to explain you this because this
feel is inside of me and my heart is beating so fast when I write you
this words. I know I can completely trust you and this is very
important for me! But please read my words carefully and you
understand me. I love you!!! This is my feel to you. I love you
and I have understood that! You are my ideal man with who I am ready
to spend my life and creat a family.. Do you remember I wrote you I am
a family orientated person? This is true and I understand that I am
ready to creat my family with you.. I thought a lot before to write
you about this. And I have a fear that you will not be sure that I am
serious with you right now. Please believe me. I have always been
honest with you and I swear I will always be honest with you. And I
trust you. And of course I hope you trust me too because I haven't
made anything to hurt you. And please please believe me. I am so
worried when I write you this words. But I can't keep it to myself
because it is very strong. And now I am ready to meet you. I know we
told about this already but we didn't know when and where we will
meet.. But now I am ready. And please just know that it is very
serious step for me and I thought a lot before to write you this.. I
do love you and my heart can't lie...

Ha what a joke!

I knew from the start of our correspondence that this person is a scammer. Everything he wrote to me was a lie.

I replied to him with Googled pictures of a famous cricketer.

In his last email he's sent me a "scan" of a fake Photoshopped passport.

RE: if your a gamer come chat

Agricola, Puerto Rico, Power Grid...

All great games.

Sadly, most people won't understand what I'm talking about.

There's more to gaming life than Monopoly and Cluedo.

RE: Unlikely heart throbs-: Who is yours?

Every UK General Election for the last 30 years has been won by whichever party (out of Labour or Conservative) has had the most physically attractive Party Leader.

On that basis Cameron would beat Brown at the next General Election.

But will Brown still be PM at the next election or will Labour replace him with a better looking Leader?

RE: Tell us some places you have visited.....And places you want to visit....Why?

You'd come back with a glowing tan!
