I've seen pumpkin turned into pickles, relish ...... I make a carrot cake but substitute grated pumpkin and ice with a little cream cheese frosting.
Best thing is after Halloween, the good folks here take their pumpkins and carry them to the walking trails, woods roads, etc and scatter pieces of them everywhere for the animals.
I had a neighbor a while back who heard voices when she forgot to take her meds. One day I came home from work and my driveway was full of police cars, the street was full of firetrucks. When I could finally get close enough to see what had happened/was happening, ibwas told that she was trying to burn out the Germans by blasting the heaters and using the stoves burners and oven. Poor dear almost got them too except someone could smell something burning and called 911. We lived in a duplex so if her side burnt, my side was going too. She spent about 6 months in the hospital then......

I'd like to have about 1/10 of a percentage of the money that group finagles out of their zombies, I mean, members....... Even with that amount, I could buy a home with a big backyard and still have oodles left over for my kids post secondary schooling.......

I couldn't sleep for weeks after watching Carrie..... forget about putting my foot to the floor and go to the bathroom...... Too afraid her hand would come up through the floor and grab me......
I am immunocompromised and have taken flu shots for years to keep on top of what is brewing for the next flu season. I took the SARS vaccine and I'll be there for the Covid-19 Vaccine, should it ever be a viable thing. That being said, I am not going to let the first company who claims they have the vaccine puncture my arm and deliver God knows what into my body. It's already been ravaged enough. Bring forth the vaccines and bring with it the documentation that this will work. I'd still probably wear a mask and use sanitizer though. If anything, this pandemic has shown me how gross people really are.

I'd spend it doing what I'm doing now...... cooking soup, folding laundry and taking my boy to work. Why??? Just as you should never leave things for special occasions and end up never wearing, using or giving what it was you were saving, the same goes for works and actions. Since our parents died, they were 52 and 57 when they passed, we adopted the attitude of always saying "I love you" when we part , whether it's by phone or in person. I have had 2 scares in recent years - I stopped breathing while in a diabetic coma and needed resuscitation and then a few years later, I had a heart attack because I had 2 blockages that required stents. You recover from that and you know that your time on earth is not promised. If there is something you need to do, do it now. Something you need to say, say it now. Tomorrow may be too, too late.
Ok could the administration look at a complex body of students and think "hmm..... they can't be all from this city, state, country......" You didn't mention if your son was questioned on his actions or if he was permitted to speak to the other student in the presence of the administration. I would think she jumped the gun on this and if anyone deserves an apology, it should be from the female student and the administration to your son. I've got no time for bigotry and no time for idiocy.
Stubbornness which can also be my downfall...... If I don't want to do it, believe it, buy it, etc then it's not gonna be. If I do want to do it, believe it, buy it etc, there's nothing or anyone who can stop me.
Oh my God, one minute I was crying my eyes out...... The next I was laughing out loud when Mas marked his dogs. I support my local SPCA as that's where I got my dogs. Spay and neuter, don't shop - adopt.

HOW??? How can you smoke 3 cigarettes a day??? I've been nicotine free for 2 years. I vape with 0% nicotine...... If I were to light a cigarette now, by suppertime, I'd have the pack gone...... and probably opening the second one....... I've got friends who smoke like chimneys when they're drinking booze and throw it down the next morning. I don't think that's even human........
I would say this..... she probably didn't pick up the tix last minute therefore had time to ask for the time off and given the employer a heads up. I had people come to me at one job and tell me that they couldn't work a Christmas because they were flying to see family. I asked when the tix were booked and was told 6 months ago. If they didn't have the decency to ask for time, I didn't have give it to them. She quit, the union agreed with me. All's good.
