RE: Deep old age relationships?

I would say that person will die alone. They have spent their life their way and no one ever met their impossible list. It is silly to think things are different now.
Long ago I had a talk with one of my tenants. He had the knack for bar floozies. After we got rid of the last one he said to me that he figured he had to change and that he would be different for another gal. I told him..bull..you are 43 years old. You are set in your ways and not going to change. You either find someone who wants you as you are or give it up.
We change some with the right mate. But, those changes are minor. Our true nature stays the same.
I guess I have been lucky. Each time I lost a mate, I found the next one that fit my time in life. Perhaps there has been a common thread, but yet each has been unique. Just what I need at that age and place in the world.

Wisconsin has a high number of people who wear masks. I avoid leaving my farm and definitely wear a cloth over N95 if I have to be in a store. What gets me is the idiots with it under their nose. Uh..where do viruses live the most? And dont you breath out of your nose!?
Dane county has extended their mask mandate the third time to Dec. 22.
I like the mask idea. I hate colds, flu and for sure covid. So it just makes sense in winter to wear them. Plus warmer. Plus cuts down on makeup.
Numbers are going up and up around the US. Gee...maybe has to do with people who have the dumb idea shots give immunity? And the fact that bored simple minds must be entertained at all times because they cant stand their own company?

No idea and think it is the dumbest thing ever. Those are hybrid birds who if lucky, live 3 years before croaking. I had a bronze tom pet. At 2 he got epilepsy. He went nutso at 3 and died soon after.

Winter! Did I mention winter? Actually the cold and snow. But, one winter when it was warm enough to work outside the whole 4 months, realized I need winter. Talked to my field renter and we agreed. Got lots done but now it was time to do spring work and we were tired! We need winter to rest and relax.

The biggest joke is that the powers that be are shocked that numbers are climbing. Gee..wonder why. Maybe because idiots who heard immunity? And a summer of people acting like they are good to go..concerts, sporting events, gatherings, fairs, vacations and then stuffing kiddies back into schools? So the unvaxed get blamed for the rise when it is now proving out the vaxed are spreading covid and ending up in hospital!
Now they want booster #3. And hey..lets do 4! Now Biden has authorized a billion dollars to Pfizer for their new pill to cure covid since their shots are junk.

Good ones. I wear a mask. About the only thing feasible in town. Plus makes getting ready so much faster. Eye makeup and screw the rest. Guess the makeup companies are hurting. No foundation..no lipstick, no blush, contouring.

The one that counted..paleontologist. But there were side ones. Sheep farmer in Australia. Model..til mom told me I was too short, fat and buxom. (see Twiggy the ideal back then.) Plus the nasty side of modeling. I did end up doing photography modeling years later. Science was always thought about. College was thought of to do major in Archeology with minors in Anthropology and Paleontology due to limits of schools here. At the end Lawyer. End result..got married and stayed on farm.

What already is the fixation on 50 vintage Chevy trucks? Not that I mind because I OWN a 49. So picking up Dollar Tree stuff with red trucks. As long as they look correct. Mine is black but, whatever. Still... Red old trucks on pillows, cups, bags, ornaments, cut outs, lamps...WT? What is the reasoning? Why is my baby popular. Now I did pick up a bag with a 46. Ok..in the constantly changing narrative about the virus..if the US got to 70% vaccd...it would reach herd immunity. Or maybe now 80%? If so, then why the push to get more and more shots in the arms? Why are vaccd terrified of un-vacced? Aren't they safe? Arent the un more at risk from the vaccd carriers?
Now boosters for all. Guess two didn't work. Maybe join shot of the month club?
Or could it be that Big Pharma wants their cash cow to keep going?
Now shoot the kiddies. I hope I can live to see the long term side effects start to show up. Lots of Big Pharma fails took a couple decades or more before the law suits started. Oops.

The poor old gal is getting worn out and to the end. I saw the video on the news. She looks like she is losing weight..the first sign of demise. Yet she is such a work horse, even told to get rest, she is still trying to keep at it.
We fought a war to get away from England. But, how not to feel like she is our mum anyway. Grand old lady she is. It will be a monster chapter to close. May she find peace after all she has lived through.

Colonel Sander invented a seasoning mix to use on chicken. He opened the first KFCs. All offered were chicken pieces with the mix, cooked in grease...mashed taters and gravy, cole slaw and biscuits. Years later he sold the whole shebang to a corporation with the contract that he would continue to do ads as the Colonel. Corporate started adding crunchy and nuggets and pot pies and messing with his original offerings. He got to the point he refused to be associated with them. Their lawyers shoved the contract up his nose and said he was stuck til he died.
We got a store in town. Husband found out they dump chicken at close cheap. So we filled freezer with Colonel chicken.
Time passed. I got gut ache from the stuff. We went to another town, ate at theirs and no gut ache. Asked. Gal told us the guy in my town didnt change the grease. Orders were every couple of days. HE went a week or two . It was the grease doing it.
KFC came up with the crunchy..cant stand the original anymore. Then grilled..super..and they dropped it, Pot pies were good. Stop in town, oh..we are out...coming up in 20 minutes or so. Poor management. So I never stop there anymore.
What one man came up with, corporate America ruined. Offer everything the competition does and destroy what you were known for.
What gets me is the way everything has to be spiced or BBQed or hot. Guess the real meat is so crappy now, they have to cover it up. If hot enough, cant taste the rot.

We have become a communist country. Encouraged to squeal on others, just like China taught their people. What ever happened to mind your own hut? I always tease..why can't I just shoot people? Or I hope they get hit by a tank! Pests.
I posted an ad for my kittens on craigs. Asked the $10 they allow. I dont care about the money. But, I was told by someone to charge because when you post pets for free, there are people who either want them to sell. Or worse, feed them to a snake or use them to train hunting or fighting dogs. So this morning I got notice some jerks flagged the ad and it was pulled. So posted it new and said the re-homing fee craigs allows. What is the difference!
I see all over on news and my scanner, people who feel a need to police their neighbors and anyone they see. Someone is walking in an alley wearing a black hoody. So call the cops. I didnt know one cant walk home in the dark using the alley. Someone is snoozing in a car at Wallyworld. Call the cops. OF course! Dont go over and see if they are OK yourself. There is a dog in a car, windows rolled up. Call the cops. So they have to make a trip over to find out the car is running with the AC ON!! Maybe if that caller had waddled over to the car, they would have noticed the motor running! There are kids walking in a group..call cops. They MUST be up to mischief.
Poor cops run ragged. By the time they get there, car is gone, guy is waiting for his wife who is shopping, kids are on the way to friends, guy is going home.
Our lovely government is pushing it..see something say something. Fine..if you see someone peering in a neighbors window, loading stuff out of neighbors garage into their trunk, lurking..then check further. THEN call the cops. Welcome to the police state.
What ever happened to making sure of stuff before jumping to conclusions. Stop calling the cops because YOU dont like the length of their lawn or because they parked momentarily too far from the curb in front of their house.

Jeans companies have you beat. They already are selling holes. If you want a pair of dark blue intact jeans, they charge you $40 or so. If you want them to sell you jeans that are distressed and worn looking full of holes and rips, they charge you $100.

Now I know the world is full of idiots. The new marketplace is digital. I am aware of wasteful fools who pay real money for items for their game avatar. But, this is going beyond.
There is a pretty gal, model, youtuber...who makes enough money so her husband quit work to run her business and help her. She mainly show cases active wear. But, has branched out to other clothes. She buys stuff and then models them and tells people whether the product is worth buying.
She has paid big bucks for used Kardashian clothes. In her product hunts she ran into another tuber who bought digital clothes. And decided this needed to be investigated.
She went to the site mentioned. There is a catalog of clothes. Some are realistic and some are really far out. So she picked out some. A graphic t for $21, a dress for $36, one for 80 and then she searched for highest price and bought one for $1200.
Following instructions, she and hubby went to scenic places and he took the pics of her in poses wearing leggings and top. Then she sent them to the site along with $2000!!
What she got back was a photo of her in that scene dressing in the garment. One photo is all she gets. No clothes! She gets to wear them virtually ONLY.
She said it would be useful for influencers and stars who buy one time only clothes. Send their photo to the magazines. But, then how could they sell their used clothes?
Gals made comments like..I am trying to pay rent and buy food and you spend 2K on digital nothings? Or like me..is this FOR REAL!? The gal did agree that one could do the same with their own photo shop program.
I rarely buy a t shirt for $21. It has to be some really special graphic to make me pop that much. My price point is $1-6!
There is either too much money in some people hands or not enough brains in their heads!

I see many things that the US says is fine, prohibited in the UK. Cant decide if it means they are over doing it, or we are not careful enough. I personally am not hep on sprinkles any which way. Nor glazing and frosting. My fav donut is plain or maybe a bit of sugar. I shop for pastries and pass due to a quarter inch of some sugar and milk frosting. What is wrong with a pastry just being plain. I like unfrosted cake even.

Its called reality. In todays world if extensive planning is not done prior to death, the government takes over and does what IT thinks is best.
I was raised to care for parents and farm. And it is my duty to make sure of it after death. Or at least the best I can. I am 71 years old. Historically, people were lucky to make it to their 40s. So I can drop dead any day. It is denial to think of tomorrows that may never come. I can go on living in peace knowing everything is already planned and set to function when I die.
My dad planned, mom planned and I plan. I have seen the problems when people died with no wills nor plans. If single with no family, the government takes it all and tosses the body in a hole. Or if there is family, they are stuck with trying to figure out someones wishes. And then fight over possessions, pay for lawyers, go into probate that can last for years and get preyed on by the funeral industry.
Face the facts. Everyone will die and no one really knows the date. Why burden others with the unknowns.
AT least write a will. In this state no lawyer is needed. Write it out, get 2 people to witness it and go to the bank and get the notary to sign and stamp and you are good to go. And try to prevent a family feud.

MR. that is a hoot! That makes no sense except they dont want the plots used up so they have room for newly dead. In the US you can buy plots any time and way.
When dad died, mom bought 4 plots in a row so the expense was over and our places together. I know of people who have had plots for generations. It does present a problem sometimes when people chose cremation or leave the area and are never heard from again. You see ads sometimes, plot at XXX Cemetery for sale.
I read on why they changed from my pinch toe style to rectangle. A few ideas. One, the pinch toe saved on lumber. The new style came about because people disliked the shape that reminded them a body was within. And the fact that richer people wanted fancier. The name changed from coffin to casket..like a jewelry box or something other than a box for dead.
People also got away from burying their own. Funeral parlor saw money and convinced folks that a dead body brought disease and must be removed at once. They took over selling funerals and coffins, holding the service, digging the grave and more. In other words..no fuzz, no muss, no bother. Just pay. If you dont pick the best casket, you didnt love them enough. All show.
When dad died, mom and I chose the steel casket. We saw magnificent mahogany ones. Not coffins, but wood workers master piece cabinets of beautiful lumber. I told mom if we payed 5K for that and buried it, dad would climb back out and strangle us...AFTER he got done chewing us out for burying a work of art.
I ended up burying mom in the steel one too.
But, found out more laws after. First..you do NOT have to use a funeral parlor. Second, we COULD have buried on the farm.
So when husband died suddenly, I gave the plans to a friend and he built the coffin. I did a drawing on him on his Harley on plywood that got screwed to the lid. A boarder and I did a lining with a velvet bed spread. And she and I went to the morgue to wash and dress him.
I called the funeral director and he said I had to buy a concrete vault (IE septic tank ) for $400. And needed to call the cemetery guy to arrange the grave digging. And pay him his fee.
We took the coffin to the county morgue, loaded him in the back of a truck and home. By noon his family came to the house and by 2 we loaded him in his best friends truck to go to the cemetery. I had let people know if anyone wanted to attend, meet there. I said a few words. His sister read a poem. And we left and all went home or wherever.
Total cost was under $2,000.
My boarder will do for me and even less cause by then no one hardly will care. Headstone I designed is already there.
Graves are for the living..the dead dont care.

The weather is changing. So get to those things I thought of doing in spring. One of them is finishing my coffin that I built. I had it covered, standing on end in my pergola. The lid was sitting on side in loggia. Still wanted to add a wolf head to the lid. I already did a tiger head, a white buffalo and an eagle head. All animals that have had meaning throughout my life.
3 days of 70s and then the bottom falls out of temp. So got the coffin laid down and stained. Put the lid on, did the wolf and stained the lid. Now today do the gloss urethane and then just need to put the hinges on. And even if I dont line it, it will technically be DONE! Cover it and store in the shed til it is needed.
One more thing tidied up as old age takes me closer to the Elysian Fields. Still need to put everything that goes in coffin with me into a bag so it will be easy for my boarder to find. A list doesnt make it easy when stuff is here and there.
Sent the letter to the lawyer to figure out how to do my trust and LLC. Asked him about why LLC. He said it covers any lackings in the trust and is a stronger paper than just a trust. OK..that explains why when I look at the Plat book, I see several farms now that are trusts and some that are both.
His gal called the other week..sending paperwork? I said finally got assets listed and a cover letter. She said once they get it, will call with questions. I said..and I wont have any answers!
As bad as dying with no will is, trying to sort the whole mess out is insane! How do I plan for when I am not here to tend to business! ARGH!!!
Maybe I just need to live to around 500!

This is what happens when any animal over populates its habitat. Then add a couple generations of spoiled brats who have been catered to their whole lives and never disciplined in any way. Toss in some old people who have kow towed their whole lives and now see how they got screwed and are too close to death to give a darn. Now your have a world full of people who are going mad.
No morals, discipline, hope, success, family, village, home, or future so lets rob and pillage for the fun of it.

A holy night called Sanheim to signal the end of the summer. The rule is to start a bonfire to burn til dawn or the sun will fail to return in spring. It was a celebration of the harvest long before Turkey day. And one starts a fire in the hearth to welcome passed on relatives. They return on that night to warm themselves and bestow blessings on their living family.
Or..just another corporate chance to get us to buy more crap to store or toss and ruin like the rest of the holidays!
Some where it went from a day to remember your dead to buy buy buy! The idea of dressing in costumes is so evil spirits dont recognize you on the street and do you harm.Day of the Dead is a variant to celebrate the dead and the Skinny girl. Wear a scary costume of the Grim Reaper, a skeleton or the scariest..a politician like Nancy Pelosi, Waters or Biden.

There lies the biggest joke. We need to stop eating meat and eat soy or non animal foods. And exactly where are all those plant based foods supposed to grow. Hmmm..maybe the Amazon? I cant eat soy. I bloat and get gut aches. There are those who are literally allergic to soy. Children are developing earlier and earlier due to soy containing estrogen. 11 year old girls are built and preggers!
I see lots of crap fed to livestock that they shouldnt. Mad cow because meat residue is fed to plant eaters. Chickens get diseases too. I have offered soybeans to my animals. They refuse to eat it. I have fields alternately with soybeans. It is a good crop to avoid animal depredation. Deer dont eat them. Cranes dont. Turkeys dont. Squirrels dont. Only idiot humans eat soybeans.
Plant a field of corn and count on the first 3 rows in ending up with missing ears or half eaten. Everyone eats corn.
Talk about soya and talk about Soylent Green!

Do previous lives count? I cant remember anything until I was 6. My guy remembers earlier. He cant believe I cant. I dont know why. The memories I have of early years are pretty much the stories my parents told me I did or saw.And I have no recollection of them. It seems odd I cant remember before I started school. And even many of those are few. Either I had a very boring, unchanging life..or just see no point to remember stuff.
