RE: Still misunderstood by many, do guns shoot people?

Where there's a will, there's a way. Cars, knives, propane, frying pan, hammer, wire, drugs...it is not the method..it is the why.
A car doesn't kill unless it is named Christine. A bottle of booze doesn't kill unless drunk. Water doesn't leap up and drown nor do balconies through people off.doh

RE: Scammer women upping their ages now.

Maybe to attract younger men. From what I get the young men are after older women. Some are getting more real though. They come right out and ask for money, housing and a ticket to the US.
I dont get shown women on here. Just men. Plus really have no interest in looking them up. Or the men either. I write to whomever as pen pals on here. Or blogs and forums.

RE: How do women dance in hi-heals let alone walk in them?

Practice. And bad feet.frustrated I always wore heels. But, made sure to buy no higher than 2 inch unless had a platform. The joke is when you see celebs in those stupid pointy toes nails for heels, they carry them to set. Put them on and sit. Then go off, take off and put on flats.
Any women who persists on wearing 6 inch deserves the bent toes and pain.doh

RE: Germany says 'no more migrants!': Berlin backs out of EU resettlement plan

My dad immigrated from Germany. He had a trade. Went through the American consulate. Bought a ticket on a ship. Landed in New York, not Ellis. Had an apartment rented and a job before he got here. And $139 in his wallet. He took night school to learn English. His American dream was too work hard, become successful and free.
Now countries have masses coming that have minimal skills. Are used to high crime and bring it with them. Or the attitudes that allow it. They have a vision of high pay for little work and handouts. They gravitate into ghettos to keep with their own. They have no interest in assimilating or learning the laws, morals or language of their new land. They work, send the money back to the native one and plan on heading back once they have raked in money.
My idea is bus them. Right to a military base. Load them up on a transport plane and take them right back to their home countries. Do it right or dont try it at all. very mad

RE: If you could have dinner with any 5 people alive or dead who are you picking?

Agreed..loved ones that are gone. But, if they are not allowed..then
Vincent Price, Hawaii Zawazi, Jane Goodall, Richard Leaky And Queen Elizabeth.

RE: Fake education, fake salary, now fake Native Americans?

Some, like us buckskinners, emulate the Indians of the past. We adopt clothing styles, ways of living and beliefs. We do it because we value the contributions the Indians made to this country. And like the ideals and simplicity and family values they have.
But, we do not pretend to be Indians. We are adoptees of aspects of their culture because we see value in it. The fact that someone who lacks a drop of native blood, of ANY race or culture, pretends to be a member is either trying to get attention, votes, stipend or something. mumbling
There are aspects of many cultures and such that offer something a persons own doesn't. To meet their needs they adopt into another. Wishing is not achieving, just like the alphabet group is doing.
So a person thinks they have no value and if they say untruths, they gain value as a member of some group. Sad.

RE: ‘Alien corpses’ presented in Mexican Congress

There is more talk about it being real. The US is not standing pat on ridiculing Area 51 or UFOs anymore. Whether any of the bodies, equipment, etc. is fake or real is yet to be determined.

RE: Can you say "no" to yourself?

I learned to say no at an early age. No problem. Especially when it come to spending money. I also learned if you ask me something, my answer will be no. THEN I think about it. And maybe..it turns to yes. It is easy to turn a no to yes and make someone happy. And bad when you have to change a yes to a no. Don't promise til you know you can keep it.

RE: Robert De Niro father again at 83

Nuts! And my dad didn't want to have a kid cause he thought he was too old. He was 49!! He told mom he wouldn't live to see a kid grow up. She changed his mind..her dad died at 48 when she was nine and her ma also died around the same age. She said a person can die at any age. She was right..he lived til I was 24. Another reason he didn't want kids is didn't like them. Same reason for me.
Mom admitted to me when her friend visited with toddlers, that she didn't have the patience she had when younger.
It is hard enough to take care of kids when young, much less old. But, I guess he doesn't worry cause he can pay for help. Still..not fair to kids.
Mom asked me if I had missed a young dad to play with me. I said he played with me. Maybe not a lot of running and stuff, but, quality time. But, cant see an 83 year old doing much. Nor relating.frustrated

RE: Are you for or against people working 12 hours a day or more?

Studies show that out of an 8 hour shift, only 6 are productive. The last two are slow and sloppy. 12 is not feasible for most, especially really young or old. The worst is night shift and the swing. Companies think workers like having days or nights free. All it does is mess with the circadian rhythm.
I worked five years nights, Friday night and Saturday night. I got double time. Started out up all Friday, half of Saturday and most of Sunday. By the end, up Friday, sleep half or more Saturday and crash Sunday to Monday.
They are now doing 4 day weeks in some areas. And finding out, less turnover and happier workers and equal or better performance.

RE: Whey we are not successful in this connect singles

Too many people looking at another country are just after a sugar mate. Or money or free ride/ticket. If real, the differences in culture cause issues. Along with each persons property, job, family and legal status.
Odds are if they are regional or local, they share more of their upbringing, schooling, ideas and things in common.

RE: Conversation?

Being real about ones life and being interested in the other persons. Although my mother grilled people. She knew anyone life story, how many years married or not, kids, travels, interests. MOM! They are being paid to do your work...not be company. frustrated

RE: Whey we are not successful in this connect singles

I never look at profiles. But, sometimes a few show up on the bottom of a page. I look at them and so many of them seem to say what they think a gal wants to hear. And all the same. They are kind, loving, cuddling, etc. Looking for the love of their life. Guys and maybe gals, need to be real. Tell about themselves not the trite text of their hunt. People on date sights know no one is looking for a Charles Manson or a wife beater. No one seeks a loser or user. So instead of writing the boring how great you are and that perfect mate you want..write about YOU.

RE: being single

Having the whole bed to self. Not combing hair all day. Eating when and what one wants. Keeping ones own schedule. Controlling the remote.laugh

RE: Are you happy with your feet?

I was lucky, had good parents. My dad was vain about his for some reason. And they made sure I had good fitting shoes. Ran barefoot tons also. My husband nails curved around the ends cause his pa didn't want to spend money on the kids. When I see some of the mutilated feet on people, I consider myself lucky. Also happy with my design, Tapered from big to small.

RE: What country has the best looking people?

Polynesian.

RE: Is it ok for people in a relationship to hide text messages from each other?

Nothing should be something one wants to hide. I never looked in my husband wallet nor he in mine. I have no idea what is on my guys phone nor him on mine. I was taught to respect privacy by my parents. If a couple are true, then there should be no interest.

RE: Does anyone know?

Its called a morning woody and all men get them.

RE: Should the man always pay?

Long ago when women had little or no income, yes. Then it went to who invited whom. The old way was when dining out, he paid. Then she invited him to a supper she made for him at her home. As time progressed, she started to offer to pay or split the cost. He had the choice to accept or not. And to save face, she handed him the cash and he was the one who appeared to pay.
Today I doubt anyone cares who pays as long as someone does!laugh I guess it depends on the cost, what the venue is, who initiates the cost and what income level each is at.
If she wants to go to a $400 ticket concert and asks him, she should be ready to pay. Or each their own. Or he offers..she does assume. Bottom line is discuss it first if in doubt.

Why cant we hire?

Great..just what we need..old men running around in drag like J. Edgar Hoover.rolling on the floor laughing doh

It ends February 1st.

Numbers on repo cars will be up. More people behind on car loans this month. Average is $750 a month. Who the H can afford 750 a month! My car is an 02, truck is a 76. Payment per month is 0! Of course I just paid cash this summer of about 3000 to almost rebuild the belly parts on the 02, but with 117k on it, she will last now for a few more years. I drive once a month to town or less. Instead of a new car, why not carpet my deck with white wool carpet!doh
Parents taught me if you can make a monthly payment, save that instead and buy when you have the full amount. No interest. Although I found times when free credit for two years and inflation was driving the price up faster than saving.
I have what I want. Just learned to want cheap things. And at my age..dont need MORE STUFF!frustrated help

RE: Yeah, I'm Not Going To Vegas

I like the Kobe beef idea but no way the octopus. I dont care if free. Rather chew on an inner tube. Anyone who pays those prices better work for congress!

Rosy bidenomics

Guess what El Presidenta..my dad fought for Germany in WW1..for the Kaiser. And mom lived through the depression. She saved aluminum gum wrappers for the war effort. And stood in line when they handed out food in Chicago. Guess the fruit? PRUNES! People were living on little food and the kind government hands them prunes.
I started work at 18 for $1.35 an hour. Went to a grocery store with a 20 and walked out with 3 bags. Now lucky to get 3 ITEMS when minimum wage is $7.50. And lots are making $15 or more. I paid $65 rent on the upper floor of a house. Now people look at 1200 for an apartment.
So you tell me how great this country is now. Bottom line is the rich will not cut their throats for the peasants. You want a raise...OK...now we raise our prices so you still can't afford what you build.
No...it is not Biden. Or the Dems nor Repubs. It is the aristocracy that runs the world and this country. And the fools who think that any candidate will give a rat's behind for you once in office.
Add the lazy generations who have been pumped up to expect a free ride on the backs of those who earn their money. Who believe the flim flam artists who when asked a question can talk ten minutes and never ANSWER the question.
The cities who said if the government had more minorities, everything would be rosy. And now do and they are scared to walk down the street or enter the shops being shop lifted blind til they close.
I am lucky. I can hole up on my farm, buy what I need and want and let the rats eat each other. Sorry for those who can't and see the truth.doh

RE: Where have all the Doctors gone

Easy..went to greener pastures. Or croaked with a vaccident.

RE: What Is Your Guiding Principal Or Rule That You Live By?

Wiccan...do what thou will so long as it hurts no others. I add to that animals and nature too.

RE: how r u handling life folks ?

All in all...great. At least when nothing is screwed up on the farm. Like falling pine on wires. Or on wire between buildings. Or the toilet acting up til I suck the quarter inch of ferrous iron particles out of the tank.frustrated

RE: Do people change from their high school immaturity?

I dont think I changed much except to become even more independent of the world. I saw the changes at reunions. The fifth the kids were still the same. The tenth was a bit more easy and not so tense. By the 20th most had figured out their paths and the nose in air ones were still impressed with themselves but not as much. Some kids had become their parents and acted older. By the 40th it was..wow..we are all still alive...glad to know you! I am looking at my 55th this fall. Now it will be the who on earth is that..yow..what happened to them?!wow who died?...well his doctor said he has!...you havent changed a bit..well you have, you lost your eyesight!laugh

RE: Do you believe in Reincarnation?

Yes, no and maybe. I think I remember previous lives. Do I? Or is it just imagination? I believe life is just electricity and when we die, it returns to the universe. It gets recycled. Do memories? Or not. I know one thing...I dont want to return to earth again. I am too tired of lives and cant deal with another one.yawn

RE: What is your sense of humor like?

Laugh at some and not at others. Some poke fun and if funny, then laugh..nothing is meant by it. Silly cat videos make me smile or laugh. Comedians who make jokes about real life we all suffer through.
What I do NOT find humorous are pranks. I see a new show on TV that they prank people others want done. Pranks are cruel and mean. I marvel that more people dont get killed when a prank is thought real.
And why do people like to watch others get scared or tortured mildly?
My dads prank was asking me if the butter had turned after he sniffed and sniffed. And offering to me so I would sniff and then push it onto my nose. Not mean, just silly. Not harmful..just a laugh between us. Even long after I knew the trick, I still "fell" for it out of love.heart1

It ends February 1st.

Bidenomics wants us to believe all is rosy. Forget all the thorns. The real pic? People got spoiled or raised spoiled so no way they will cut back. Plus they saved the stimulus cause trapped at home. Now they have gone hog wild spending it.
The media pumped them up on how great the future looked for country going to boom times.
When the savings ran out and vacation still beckoned, the fairs and concerts called and restaurants re-opened, paychecks tried to cover all of it, plus higher prices. Inflation raised it's head. Government wants us to buy, buy, buy and then crab because high demand for products allows companies to raise their prices.
Rents are up, houses are up, gas is up, food is up thanks to controls on food. Now what..well..dip into those CDs, 401 Ks and spend. Have equity in your home, use that to spend. You took all these years to pay down the mortgage..and then turn around and pound it up again. But, hey...that loan is lower interest.
A neighbor lost his house that way. Every time they built equity, they spent it. Til the mortgage was under water and the bank took the house.
No equity..hello credit cards. Spend spend spend.doh roll eyes
What is ahead? School and $900 for supplies. What on earth do they buy? New everything?frustrated And schools supply stuff including free 3 meals a day.
Hello Christmas. Can't let that go without more spending, borrowing, scraping the bottom of the barrel.
Guess what? The well has run dry. It is now February. Bills have come due. Heating costs have gone up. Gas has gone up. People have been laid off from those tourist trap summer jobs. Sales plummet. More lay offs. crying
And the reality of Bidendreamnomics shows the truth.rolling on the floor laughing
