Every time I caught a cold from some jerk who hates to waste sick days when sick..I have thought Japan has a good idea. So when masks became common place, I thought great. I researched the best and wore them into stores. I still do. Why? No colds, no flu, no covid for two years. No sore throats, no sniffles, no red nose, no gut issues.
If masks are so useless, why do medical wear them. Maybe to avoid some germ bag spewing on their faces?
Humans are germ carriers. I dont care what kind. I will keep masking when close in a building with them.

My first thought was " who the H does she think she is?" Second was must be planning to get out so take some close buddies and do a the grand tour on the taxpayers dollar.
Last I knew her position is to regulate, guide and officiate the House. I dont remember Biden appointing her Secretary of the State, Ambassador or anything else.

I disagree with China thinking they own Taiwan. There was a war and a bunch of people fled to the island. Since then, established their own democracy and rule. Many of them do not think they are Chinese. They call themselves Taiwanese. Right or wrong, Pelosi had no right to stick her two cents worth into the mix and cause upset. That is Bidens role. Or someone he APPOINTS to go there.
It is just another sign she thinks she is the Queen of Congress and people should bow to her.
If I could talk to China, I would say, ignore the senile old drunk who has to get attention. She counts for nothing. And with luck, will end up kicked out the door. Or in jail. Along with her drunk, druggy husband.

I hate being old and at the end of my run. Doing something I never thought I would do. Sold my husbands Harley chopper to his nephew. It has sat in my living room for 30 years. Became part of the house decor. But, time is passing. And got to thinking when I die, who gets it. Where does it go? Nephew Ricky was close to my husband. And figure he would rather he gets it than some jerk. My husband built that chopper and it brought us together. He ran out of gas passing my farm.
So I text Ricky and asked if he still rides. Yes. Then asked if he wanted the bike for 2K. Thinking. Bike is worth around 5K. 1971 Sportster. Came back with, look at it. He stopped and said yes. He will sell his and put this one back on the road. He remembers packing with husband when he was a kid. Thought it was super cool.
I have spent the week cleaning and moving stuff so we can get the bike out. Now it sits in the room like in a showroom. Every time I look at it... He is due tomorrow with his boss, sister and wife. The only way out is down the steps outside. Straight shot. The logia was not built when it came in. With the rake and extended front, no way it will turn corners. I took the Indian metal sign away from the back wheel. Back tire is flat and split. I havent looked at it forever. Aired front and back always looked OK. But, tubed so with luck will air up. If not..drag will stop it going down stairs..no front brake of course. We never ran them.
I guess the bike is of the past. No future anymore. I will cry and miss it terribly. Part of my life and marriage. But, I feel husband would say up to me and it will go where it will be known and loved.

Had to upgrade to 4g. And Trac says old WONT do 911 at all. I got a new flip cell. And it is a blasted smart phone. So shut off internet and everything except call and text. I use my land line and desktop. Cell is my answer to a life line. Use mainly to text a line to let someone know something. Or get a text the same. So call units and data will pile up. Weird trac system now. Used to buy 60 units. Call or text. Now get 3 separate units. 60 for calls, 60 for data, 60 for texts. So its a pain.
Have to keep eye on text and not units.
Answering machine died and I left it gone. If I am outside, the few people who need me can text. Carry the cell in case always. Nice to call AAA too.
Otherwise...it can go for days without being used. Oh yeah..turned off at night.

I am. I dont have to fill the wood furnace. Dont have to shovel snow. Dont have to wear half my closet and go outside looking like a Puff-a-lump. Dont have to worry about power going out. Frozen water pails. And..being cold and miserable!

I wonder what is the reason someone is homeless. I know there are neighbors and friends and relatives of husband who would take me in if a disaster hit me. What problems do these people have that NO ONE will give them a sofa or floor to sleep on?
Homeless is these cases are issues the person has. Like drugs, booze, criminal inclinations...user lazy mentality. Despite a desire to help by charities or government, they refuse help. Mental issues drive them onto the street or into forests. Pushing it becomes jailing them. Even in institutions because they cant be protected from themselves any other way.
What stinks is when a family ends up living in their car. Single or couple, they work. They just cant afford first months, last months and security deposits. The situation is made worse by flippers and land barons who make sure to claim any low cost housing.
Talk is cheap...city to build low income housing. Oh, sorry..you make a buck over our limits. Sorry, one bedroom only. Instead of low income apartments, they should return to boarding houses that are suitable for a family. Or dorms for singles.

And make China richer since they just happen to have most of what electric cars use.
No worries about the grid. hmmm...tho...Hoover Dam may cease to generate due to Lake Mead drying up. But, hey..those firefighters only use 800,000 gallons of water to put out those electric car fires. And oops..shouldnt have parked in the garage. Or near that house.

When I realized no one keeps their word anymore. Too many want to get paid to not work, demand high wages or wont. When kids demand everyone caters to them and are too lazy to help. When manners flew the coop and rudeness gets videos. When laws are a joke and punks harass drivers, raid and loot and society feels sorry for them. And when one can not go anywhere without a herd of humans. When all one hears is buy, buy, buy and idiots think it is fine to pay $7 for a cup of coffee. Oh, when our government is for the rich, of the rich and by the rich.

I remember when they came to the US. I used to listen to KAAY out of Little Rock Arkansas. Best station there was around here. On my transistor radio when in bed. Not to jinx them but 80 is looking up to me. I am waiting for him and Ringo to die. Why? Cause I had actually ordered a book from KAAY of photos of the Beatles. What is wrong with babies?

The formula thing is making me wonder. When I was a baby, I was a Pet baby. Mom mixed canned milk, Karo syrup and liquid vitamins up for my bottle. We all pretty much were. My mom was not able to handle cows milk when she was a baby so her dad had to find a woman with goats and she thrived on goats milk.
Around the world, babies live on mothers milk, mare's milk, goat, sheep, cow....
Now today every baby has to drink some formula made in a factory. And more and more can't handle mothers, cows, goat or any milk.
What has changed. Why are babies now so prone to issues consuming anything that is not some chemical made up formula?
I am not aware in my life knowing ANY baby that had such issues. And as soon as possible, moved to Pablum and Farina. Grew up eating whatever was put on our plates. No allergies, no food issues.

Life would be a dream. One of these days nature will decide humans need to go the way of the dinosaurs. She created wondrous creatures. Trex, brontos...and they got bigger and bigger and bigger. And in her wisdom saw no future for the earth when creatures roamed that eat everything in sight. She had the courage to say enough. The earth diversity can not evolve with these monsters. So she b'slapped them. Reduced them to crocs and salamanders and sharks.
Who among us could have destroyed works of art like she did?
And one day she will look at humans as those monsters who destroy everything and we will be deemed a threat and get b'slapped too.
Then the rest of nature will have a fighting chance. If lucky, a few humans will survive living as tribes once did.

Ads have lost all intellegence!

Being old I remember how commercials and ads used to be. Having does ad sales and written them for radio, I followed rules. Guess now there are none.
Seems TV and print are obsessed with peoples leaking bottoms. If it isnt some baby or toddler in pullups, they are on the can. Or the 3 bears are hung up on TP instead of porridge. Maybe mama bear ought to watch what she put in hers.
Decency is long gone. I remember when feminine products were behind the counter in the drug store, pre-wrapped in store paper so no one knew what you carried out. Now I await the day when TV ads show one how to insert or put on. Ad after ad...poise in your pants, water hoses, underwear. Sheesh..is the whole country leaking constantly?
If it isnt sanitary or privates, it is drugs. There's a pill for that. Invent a pill, invent a disease for it.
I was taught saturation for ads. To a point. Change the ad often so people dont tune out. Now, you need a new cheap junk shower, windows, siding, doors, medicare plan. And of course I am going to hire a company that can afford to put that many 60 seconds ads on every day. Sorry...I am not paying for them.
Everytime I see JJ, I want to slap him. Now ,that he makes sound like some cat in agony.
Some ads have more production than the shows. Nice with sound turned off to watch the scenery.
Some are clever and funny. Good to watch as entertainment. Not buying your product tho. And ask me who the ad was for..hmmm...didnt notice, dont remember.

I am a gearhead so more than one car. Hardly drive anymore. Only go to town a few times a year. New car is an 02 Impala. Bought it years ago from friend so had a low vehicle with air for my old dog to get to the vet. Pride is my 1976 C20 Chevy 3/4ton I painted with tru-fire. Getting my 49 chevy truck back to road worthy. Have a 96 Mark 8 in garage I would like to dump! 70 Pontiac station wagon to get title too.
Just watched a sci-fi movie...about a 53 Desoto...boy were they a beauty.

What is nature up to by you?

I am getting to wonder. Nature here is in a mad rush. Blossoms early and done, fruits setting. No migration of birds this spring. Few here nor singing. Crickets already when should not be til August. Acts like July or later. Wonky weather. 3 days of 90 and two weeks of 65. I see plants in flower a month early and setting seeds already. One thing for sure, woodshed gets filled fast and extra!

Watched a man on the street video. Now, sure, they pick the funniest or dumbest people out of the ones they interview. But, on the other hand, it is scary that ANY are this dumb! The ages were in the 20s it appeared. Asked how many is a dozen and no one knew. What is 3x3x3. Have to admit I had to think to get 9. I hate math. Where is Mt. Rushmore. No..it is NOT Canada!

I wonder just what classes ARE taught these days. I got history, math, social studies, English,spelling and the Weekly Reader for new stuff. High school went more into depth on them and added Home Ec, shop, woodworking, Ag, auto mechanics.

I am surprised they aren't saying oh that poor bullied boy. Seems there is a pattern there. Grandpa is a felon. Mom is a druggy. Had some physical attributes that made kids pick on him. And THEN!!! granny got into him about phone. This is not a kid who was a choir boy from a super home life that went nuts. He was a spoiled, lazy jerk seeking to be a player.
I personally dont see the use for assault style guns. No more than mega clips. I use guns to protect and hunt. And dont need more than a couple rounds cause believe in aim and control. Laugh at the fools who hunt and think if they sling enough lead, maybe something will run into it. A revolver or chambers suit me just fine.
Ex bro in law came up once with a machine gun. I had to go out to watch. Burst at target and lots of noise. He said that was $40. Wasnt it cool. I said yeah..right. So he blasted a target to shreds and blew FORTY dollars! Idiot! Great if I want my deer killed, gutted AND butchered at the same time.
The problem is a couple of gens who have been spoiled rotten. Never had to work for anything. Never told to try harder. Never had to tow the line. And worse either had parents who let them get away with anything or helicopter ones who babied them and let them do nothing.
Mental health. Gee...its not my fault..I have mental issues. I had issues, talked to parents. And they straightened it out. Taught me life stinks, deal with it. Do the best you can and ignore fools. If I had a problem, it was up to me to figure out a better way.
Your job sucks, find another one or learn how to handle it. Grades are low, work harder. Want stuff, earn it. People are jerks, ignore them and avoid them. Learn to accept oneself, develop habits and hobbies to be self sufficient and not need the gratitude nor praise of others. Nice to have but not demanded.
If not guns, then knives, fires, cars, clubs. They will find a way. Objects dont kill, people kill. Maybe internet, gaming and coddling is the problem.

Really liked Valley of the Dolls when it came out. And read the book. Funny thing, was on TV a bit ago and I started to watch and then didn't. Problem with movies. We move on and they seem lame. Same with TV shows. Wow that is on!? And then...not watch.

War and Peace was re-made. The US one was not the equal of the one Russia made in 1970 ish. With the communist hold on their country, cost was not a factor. EVERYONE was an extra. Battles scenes were cast to the max.
I lived in Colorado Springs in that year. Ex was stationed at Fort Carson. The theater ran it as a matinee. Went in daylight and sat 2 hours in the dark. Intermission..lobby..talk about time shift. Wow..its daylight. Back in for another two hours. And a day later, the next 4. I do have the video. Need to watch again before I die.
Dr Zhivago was cool back then. I still remember the scene when they escape to the closed summer palace in winter. How they did that back then?? They reach the house and go in and the whole thing is covered in hore frost. The sun shone on it and it was all diamond sparkle.

First..what the H happened! How did I get so old, I was just 20/30 yesterday wasn't I? Mom was right, time goes faster and faster. Who are all those old people..oh yeah...my class mates!
What was it all for? Worry about things that didn't really matter as time went on. Buy stuff and now what I valued no one wants and all it is for me is work. What one owns turns to owning you.
Even though every gen rants the younger are fools and useless...I think in 2022 it is more realistic to think it than ever. I see predictions made decades ago becoming reality.
Wonder why man never learns to conquer greed and the have want more and the have nots support them. The wars go on and on and man's inhumanity to man never ends.
I see higher and higher wages when it does no good because those that want profits just raise prices. We return to the feudal system...we owe our souls to the company store. The spoiled kids used to praise and handouts and not working to earn rewards have no coping skills. The woke crowd is trying to cancel history and pretend if we say we love one another, it will happen. Yet crime goes up and up.
Society and the libs try to cater to every individual while those individuals hate each other just as before.
I wake in the morning and think ..for what. Then go about taking care of stuff and my farm because what else is there to do. And hate being old and slowing down when there is work to be done.
