RE: 3D-printed steaks are now being served in restaurants

Maybe plant based food is the way the US should go with food.

I don't know if you've ever seen the documentary "Food Inc"... It's on Youtube...you might find it interesting..and illuminating grin

RE: 3D-printed steaks are now being served in restaurants

Seaweed is actually really nice, and chewy too... I used to buy it all the time in ireland...

But tofu? *gag*

RE: a discussion...on how women can manipulate men!

Sure i'll try anything once Gal....second time just to be sure to be sure....laugh

RE: Gaslighting

And that's where the label is justified and well deserved..

RE: a discussion...on how women can manipulate men!

Manipulative women can only manipulate men( or anyone for that matter) who don't know how to think for themselves...or won't...

RE: Gaslighting

Americans! doh And their penchant for turning people's minor foibles into some sort of psychiatric illness that makes them the worst of the worst.. ...and then blowing it all completely out of propportion....

Lots of people have used those phrases and mostly in self-defence,.or maybe because they had/have a different perspective and that's just how they saw things, or just simply can't remember having said/done something....that doesn't mean their deliberately trying to play head games with someone...

That's why it's always best to deal with things soon as they crop up...it's fresh in one's memory and it can't be, manipulated, blown out of all proportion, used as a weapon, or turned into something else that..

RE: CS WINE BAR 2022

Really not impresssed with the clique you lot seemed to have turned into. and how mean spirited you lot can be towards someone...

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

Are you familiar with the Irish health system then and the details of how it works.??

dont' confuse Irish hospital system with the UK system where, once you're breathing, you're kicked to the kerb

And don't confuse your lack of humaity and compassion with that of the Irish health care system either....

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

I didn't know that Nules....I'd kind of assumed the U18's would be first in line..god that's so sad to hear...so sad..and so hard for the parents trying to look after a child who's on the edge...

if I had my way we'd be downing tools and out on the streets protesting the billions being paid to the EMF anddemanding the government put the money back into our healthcare and other social infrastructure that seems to have taken a nose dive in the last 10 years..if not 20..

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

And openly gossiping about someone in such a meanspirited manner, where they can read it, is perfectly ok then is it?

Just in case you're struggling to answer that... it's just as bad , in fact that's even nastier...it's ganging up on someone, .which makes you no better...

So much for all your co[y and paste "words of wisdom BS"....

if you've something to say to someone say to them directly, give them the right of reply.....not this group passive-aggressive crap you seem to go on with when you want to take a swipe at someone...tis the lowest form of nasty ....and it seems an all too regular feature on the forums as well...

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

You blamed "bad parenting" ....so case closed according to you...

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

The money is all going to the EMF who forced us into a bailout....

And, as you said there, the most vulnerable are now paying for it through poorly funded services that they so desperately need...

That said, it's pretty bad in Ireland but we tend to be a kinder nation.... the UK is far worse of a mess...and no where as kind towards each other..so I'm hoping this will effect a change and start mental health of our young people a priority..it's been desperately needed for decades...anyway, that's another topic for another day...

Hope all's well with you Nules...hug

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

maybe you should learn what she went through as a child and try to understand she was dealt a very difficult hand so this is an even greater tradegy...and.... while you're at it learn a bit of compassion...

I truly truly hope there are no mother's on here who've lost a child to suicide becuase you are pretty much saying that they were the reason the child took their own life. it's never that simple but you don't sound like you're too bothered about the nuances ...

And there, but for the grace of /god/divinity/sheer good luck, go you.......it could so easily be you reading this a father who's lost their child to suicide....

Once again .you are showing yourself to lack any sort of humanity, compassion or gentleness towards your fellow human beings....

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

Oh my God, how unkind and lacking in compassion must you be, to say such a thing in such a cold hearted and mean spirited manner..

RE: Sinead O'Connor condemns Irish State

This is so so sad! And not because it's a tragedy that's happened to a celebrity and her son. But because suicide is a story that's all too common in Ireland.

.I've no idea what Tusla are like, or what they're like to deal with, but what I do know is that suicide amongst our young men (less so girls) is a huge issue in Ireland and had needed an urgent national discussion for decades now.

I knew /know of far too many young men who took their own lives or were caught just in the nick of time..My youngest son lost three classmates over the course of two weeks, it really shook him and his classmates. And almost every week before that and after, we heard of another young man who took his own life...it really scared me as a mother of young teenage sons so I regularly talked to them about it and made sure they knew I could handle anything as long as they were alive...that no matter how bad it was, to come and talk to me, because as long as they're breathing it can be fixed.....

As a mother of sons my heart goes out to Sinead. The poor woman had a truly dreadful childhood and it left deep deep wounds on her soul...but that does NOT mean her parenting had anything to do with her son's suicide.....although god love her it probably didn't help matters..How does she get through this....how does any mother/father ever get over the loss of their child...I truly hope the country is looking after her because God knows she's always been a fragile soul has our Sinead.....my thoughts are with her ..

RE: The worst crisis since 2008

laugh taste of your own medicine Dedovix laugh

RE: The worst crisis since 2008

it can be both, because with a population of 7 billion we have the numbers to support both....Whilst fertility in the west is declining, populations are growing elsewhere, eg. India, Africa, china (now it's 2 children/couple)

And yes, I know, things like contraception, education and careers etc = women having fewer children. but notwthstanding that, fertiliity is in decline...and if memory serves it's male fertility that's declining at a faster rate than female fertility. I'm sure there's loads of information online if you want to look it up.

RE: The worst crisis since 2008

laugh I can't remember a word you said Dedovix....sure it was probably all soft talk anyway...so you're probably right.laugh

Well prepare yourself for a whole battery of "experiments" then as, the rainforests are cut down and glaciers melt, viruses that have been hidden and dormant for thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of years become active (given the right conditions food source, temperatute, humidity etc)....Disease pandemics are going to become a lot more regular occurence...

Then there's the imbalance we're seeing in the weather all around the world as well...that's going to impact the spread of disease...

Not just that, our population numbers are getting out of hand and nature will find a way to cull the numbers...and part of the reason why you're seeing the genders becoming confused.....dont think that's manmade.that's mother nature taking steps to try and curb our overgrowth....

and if you don't believe me then ask yourself even with all the men lost at wars over the decades and generations.. "how is gender parity has always been maintained at 50/50? Do you think some human being or group of them have some sort of control over that as well.....

Fertility is in serious decline as well....How? Why?

A lot of what you're seeing is mother nature at work...and nothing to do with some little man hiding behind the curtain...

RE: Travel restrictions lifted

Yeh, it's tough going alright..but hang in there Tom, you're not alone hug

RE: Travel restrictions lifted

No, the airlines were really on the ball when it came to checking certs and pre-flight tests and on the other side they were equally as good if not better....The UK is/was extremely slack, I was never once checked coming in......Now it's just going to be a free for all..and the flights are going to be packed....barf

RE: Travel restrictions lifted

My heart sank when I heard that because people will still travel and won't care now if they've covid or not..so kinda glad I've already had a few trips and can give the great unclean a very wide berth...

RE: Money v Time

Not sure I'd afree there Oxycodene.......loads of people fritter away their time on useless stuff like tv etc..laugh

RE: Money v Time

You can't buy time, but if you have enough money, you can buy other people's time. And no matter how much time you buy you won't pay a cent tax on it, but the payees will...kinda ironic really...

RE: The worst crisis since 2008

All very very salient points there Happygolucky.

Ive been thinking much of that too, that we are turning into beings and seem to be losing our humanity, our ability to connect with others and "see" them. I'm hoping all the lockdowns and isolation are going to make people wake up to it and what's important...I think it has hit home with many, but is it enough to effect a change I wonder?
