Entirely up to the individual, what suits them as a person. Failures or successes sometimes make us realise who we actually are and not who we think we are.
We only know a minscule amount of information in this life. No one dictates or advises me how to live my life, neither am I an experiment or have a delusions about how to survive in this world.
Because when it comes down to the nitty gritty, or a mighty catastrophic event, your instincts, knowledge and how to survive will prevail.
Because those that cross the borders seek opportunites, which are there, above or below the radar. The problems are usually in the country of origin. Who would not want to have the opportunity to get the hell out of a country that is crippled by corruption, war, famine etc?
UK tax payer is forking out around £62m a day for the use of hotels to house who enter the country.
I see here at the borders refugees crossing over from Croatia, through Slovenia, en route to Italy. Not many going in the other direction.
Reading about the history of the NRA and how it came into being is very interesting, English I believe at one stage has the right to bear arms but that goes way back, common law.
@OT, agree about lives wasted. Those that will do time will surely regret their crime.
I respect the 2nd amendment and appreciate how imbedded it is stateside. People have rights, to remove the 2nd amendment from the constitution is nigh on impossible. I can’t see it happening in my life time, unless something so radical happens it does a 350 so to speak.
Yeah I know I know it ain’t the gun that pulls it’s own trigger, or forgets to put the safety on. That’s all I keep reading in these here forums or blogs.
Though I do believe some form of vetting should be in place for a person to bear arms. Though not sure how that would work out or even be implemented.
Many Americans do not care what people outside their borders think about all these shootings, they may not think it anyone else’s business, but it is, because American culture/business has had a huge impact on the UK and many other countries around the world. Americas influence has a global history.
If there was one thing I would like to see change in America is for the country to have a president younger than 60.
There is over 100 stabbings a day in London, maybe slightly more, let alone anywhere else in the country.
At one time it was popular to spray acid acid on people, usually their faces and that was not so long ago.
Based on a one dimensional drawing of an up or down thumb, that you just click one I’d say it is more about others just winding users up. Second guessing who it is. Does it really matter who? For all any user knows that person clicking in the up or down thumb could be a right laugh in real life, they could be any type of personality. They could be dangerous and being duped by other members. List is endless so at the end of the day, personally speaking don’t get wound up about it, but can imagine and see how it works for others, can be intimidating and seen as bullying behaviour.
Disagreeing here, at times is worse than mount etna erupting. So what if people use the option?
I can imagine in years to come there will be degree courses and research papers done on thumbs up and thumbs down.
