Showing concealed weapons to lefties usually works on the street unless they are gang bangers with their crew usually having better weapons. My friend a female EMS worker in London says it's almost the same there dealing with thugs with knives at night and knows many individuals who illegally carry Desmethyldiydrocapcaicin sprays to protect themselves which are Section 5 weapons in the UK.
I know some will call you a troll for what you just stated, however, it is a good point whether you look at this as a leftist or someone from the right because politicians are creating hysteria with different rules in every nation of the world and have no hard facts or willingness to investigate China or the WHO by protecting communists, globalists, and socialists.
If you notice, everyone on the bus was wearing a mask except the woman. She actually turned her face to look at him as if he asked "WHY AREN"T YOU WEARING A MASK" and then intentionally spit on him with force ... in fear of being infected he possibly got violent. Whether you want to wear a mask or not is not my point... the fact that lockdowns, isolation, misinformation, ignorance, and politics on both sides creates massive division is while opportunists become rich and innocent people die. There are many scenarios regarding this bus incident and unless individuals start screaming you will never find the truth.
BTW, the fact she spits at his face during COVID19 hitting above the eyes brings up new issues as to why she did this on a bus... so without facts who knows. Maybe they knew each other or he touched her inappropriately. The camera was ready to record in anticipation something would happen... so what did happen prior to the spitting?
In this case in simple terms after watching the video I wouldn’t consider this an assault, it’s more of a battery inflicting offensive or harmful physical contact upon the man by the woman. The man in question can defend himself using a minimum amount of force reasonably necessary to stop another attack. He told the woman to leave which is fine but then pushed her out of the bus to the sidewalk being more violent. The judge has to determine what the man said to the woman before she spits on him and consider the fact the spitting didn't continue. The man actually may be charged for a revengeful act or simply reduce her charge unless she claims to be hurt wanting compensatory damages. Why her history has to be checked and other incidents she was involved in. The video shows definite provocation, yet even though she did commit a criminal act she still may technically get off... it all depends on the politics of the case and the presiding judge. If the man would have called the cops detaining her a new set of rules would have applied... why many people resort to street justice instead.
