Merry Christmas everyone- hope santa brought you all you wanted. still waiting for the turkey to cook, though with just me and three small boys to eat it, I must be mad- turkey sandwiches for a week!!
if you really want to- depends where they are, i have friends in New Hampshire and Texas- if the books are anywhere near there- i expect they would be happy to collect them and send them by post for a fraction of that cost- sounds like you bought from a cowboy!!
I don't really see how online is any different from going out hoping to meet someone in a pub/club/wherever?? the difference here- is that you get a chance to talk to people first , see how they respond to you and others- sometimes about some touchy or interesting subjects-and base an impression of them before it moves further- you don't really have that opportunity in 'real life'. in, say, a pub, you are kind of 'putting all your eggs in one basket'= if you KWIM, if you meet someone, seem to get on- you really know nothing about them till you go out on a date, and might find they really aren't your type at all- some of us don't get many nights out for that opportunity,. I would rather know a little about them first.
\yes- there will be a lot of chancers online, but aren't they out there anyway??
I do- I remember seeing them at the Kings theatre at christmas- was a real highlight of the season to go to the Kings- that and the kelvin Hall carnival!! ahh, good memories
I have a sticker on my car that says 'GOANENODAETHAT' I love looking in the rear view mirror at the lights and watching the people in the car behind with puzzled expressions on their faces, trying to mouth the word(s)
Don't forget Ewan McGregor and Rab C Nesbitt Stanley Baxter, and parliamoglasgow!! Rikki Fulton Jimmy Logan-( showing my age C- i think he was my first 'crush' ) Highland Toffee
I have to fall on the side of- he was a bit embarrassed at what he said under the influence- then took it back ( foolish yes, he should just have hoped you were both too blootered to remember)- then felt bad for doing that. Yes He is confused- but aren't we all?? the period of getting to know someone new is fraught at the best of times- trying to put your best foot forward and all that. i wouldn't write him off- just leave the ball in his court- and if you do go out again- maybe you should have a wee talk about it... along the lines of...' look, i understand you said a couple of things after a few drinks. that you may have regretted, and i'm ok with that.. I'm not looking for a commitment. Let's just see how things go and get to know each other better- he may be a bit confused but he may be a confused gem
my best as a kid was the Doony Osmond Album- probably wore a few needles out playing that!!
worst was the argos necklace!!
the one we still slag my wee brother about is the year he gave us all a bottle of schloer!!! he was only a teenager and probably thought it was great- still give him a hard time about it 30 years later!!
