I have to agree with you Elise- it is a bit mean to be slagging off people form the site, who may or may not recognise themselves- i don't know who any are supposed to be but i'm not going to speculate
Alas, yes...it was me! If you're going to humiliate yourself then I suggest you do it infront of the whole nation. From that point the only way is up. Just a simple message in these times of recession and depression. Teddy Up The Nation![/quote]
that's what i was going to call the thread I forgot
Nooooooooooo!! I thought it sounded really good. for the first 15 seconds i thought you must have been mad, but when i heard you explain it = it was cool!!
Anyone else hear Gerry Ryan this morning?? I am in and out of the car s i didn't hear what the subject was, but i heard this strong Scottish accent, and thought ' I recognise that voice' and there was a guy called Keith, talking about his wee teddy- how on recommendation of a counsellor( i think), he got peace from it before a stressful time. It was lovely to hear- he sounded great!!and we all have our support system and ways of destressing.
It must have been him?? i hope he won't mind me posting this- it was on national radio after all!!
i too, have no problem talking about kids here- after all the point of this site is to get to know people, and their kids are usually a huge part of thier life and even personality, so i do think it is appropriate to show the nurturing/family/caring side of you if that is what you have- it's all a part of getting to know someone.
Actually my favourite 'goodies' moment didn't come from the show but the book. They were pretending to be schoolboys ..there was a picture of mayhem... blood, guts, screaming, dying etc etc, and the ?? was ''describe what is happening in this picture''... and they answered....''one day , Milly Molly Mandy was out walking''
Don't ask me why but that really tickled me, all 35 years ago!!
if you live in Wexford- private and public are pretty much the same thing ( only 1 private room in a ward- can we assume only one person in the ward has health insurance?)-( oh they do still CHARGE the full rate, even though you are not in a private bed)
if you look at the online today bit at the top of the page, you can get an idea of how many people in ireland are on in a day-( on CS, not necc the forums).
I've been here since june and seen some come and go
