RE: Obama will win the american presidential ellection of 2012!

I agree with you, Katt1017 and others that the system is broken, of that there is no doubt. My beef with other posters is the belief we do not want to or will not work-we WANT to be employed and giving back to those that are down AND to society in general for helping us. However, it is not possible when the jobs have developed feet and run away. I tried to show how in my area, the Employers are non-existant by describing how our paper's Employment Section has become.

RE: Obama will win the american presidential ellection of 2012!

On a further note, to those that feel Companies are anxious to hire but that those of us that are on Unemployment or Assistance would rather remain there than get a job for, whatever reason. Let me tell you that may be true in your area and sorry for those that do not care to try. In my area, it is not true. Our papers used to be ~ 1" thick daily, ~3" thick on Sundays. You could count on the Employment section alone being ~ 1/8" to 1/4" daily and ~ 1/2" or more on Sundays. Hundreds and hundreds of jobs that took a few hours to go through. Now, it is often an exercise in futility and a joke to even find the Employment section! Why? Because it is only a couple inches long column with maybe 3 or 4 and some times we get lucky with ~5-7 jobs listed, more often than not, are telemarketing, closed to a person like me b/c of my deafness. Buried somewhere inside the paper, never in the same place, either. Kinda like the paper is embarrassed to publish any jobs. sad flower

RE: Obama will win the american presidential ellection of 2012!

Tom, true, change can be good. However, to me it is asuspicious, red flag when reunifiction to the Tea Party is discussed less than 24hrs after the elections were held.hug

RE: Obama will win the american presidential ellection of 2012!

The thing that has been bothering me about this whole Tea Party Movement, has been the support that some Candidates got from supposedly staunch Republicans. This makes me think that the 'reunification' of the Republican Party is a sham. It makes me think there never was a division of the party, that the Tea Party was a 'diversion' created to divide the voters and place the Republicans in power. It will not surprise me to read, if this is the case, in the far future when somone writes about this possibility. sad flower

RE: Is infertility becoming more frequent?

There is no reason adoption cannot be part of the solution. I WOULD adopt. When I was in my 20's a deaf woman whose partner could not handle the both of us having infertilty thus left, was frowned upon for adoption. In many places Adoption also requires huge amounts of money. Thus, it is oft, sadly, a closed road. In many relationships ONE partner will not agree to adoption.hug

Erm, the above should be canada.

RE: Is infertility becoming more frequent?

OP, as a woman that has suffered Infertily, and made much of the walk, alone, I believe it is a rising problem. I grew up under high tension lines. These lines also form their own Inductive Fields. Many health abnormalities have been found to affect those that live in the proximity of such areas. Add to this, water poisoning from chemical runoff, Medications that were approved before the stingent testing of today, many, many other causes either directly or indirectly related, causing infertility. It is a problem that makes me think of that one movie that Stared: Parker Stevenson: Where the UFO abductions were possibly not abductions at all but Humans of the Future coming back in time, to save the human race from extinction by performing "Surgeries" on those the future records listed as infertile, in order to understand what happened and try to reverse the extinction of Humanity as a Spieces AND to save Earth. hug

RE: Is infertility becoming more frequent?

Erm, USA like many Industrialized nations, has fallen below the 2.1 replacement rate. We are at 2.05. Tiwain has recently made headlines with the offer of free IVF Treatments. Tiwain has also begun offering to pay couples to have children as Officials are worried b/c the replacement rate is well below the 2.1%. As of a study done in 2009, most USA births was to Immigrants. As to not enough food, there IS plenty of room. The problem is, it is extremely expensive to farm today. My Father spent any where between $700.00 to $2500.00 for a tractor:New. Nowadays, New tractors can cost ~ $80,000.00 or more, it is harder to find a feed mill in one's location. Many Elderly are selling off land to be able to keep their homes. Then you have the Suburban Sprall into Farm Territory where laws are enacted to remove animals. Meanwhile, the Cities are emptying. Until such a time comes that Farmland Protection is truly enacted, food production will continue to decrease.doh

RE: it is said 1 in 3 of women in USA and united kingdom can't have(birth) child by herself,is it true?

In my case, these were and for whatever small time frame I have left, still are. Soon, my only options will be Donor Eggs or Adoption. Many guys I met were not open to any sort of Family making ooutside of, Biblical. I knew from the time I was 22 that any Child I had, must be C-]ection. No choice in the matter.sad flower

RE: I know...spelling and grammar doesn´t mean much here...

Z, both of your posts are perfect, brilliant and wise. I do suscribe to what you have written in both posts. You had a wise teacher. Mine said the same thing but then insisted the writing be perfected to convey what I meant. I try very hard to live as you have said in your second post. My problem, however, has been in finding that to be reciprocated. Most often, I find a double standard - that I am to do that for a guy but overlook that he will not do that for me. I will not get back into a relationship like that. To the poster and others, bothered by run on sentences, I ask your pardon. My car is down and I live way out in the boonies, so I have no internet other than my Cellular Phone Packet also this particlar cell phone does not have a paragraph setting like my old phone did.hug

RE: I know...spelling and grammar doesn´t mean much here...

Hi Jan, it is nice to see you. I have to say it did not bother me, at first. I am one of those individuals that have learning disabilites in addition to being deaf. That being said, it was never a point of contention for me as I do know poor grammar is not an indication of Intelligence. However, it is becoming more of an indicator for me as to if we would be on the same level or not. My late ex-Husband and I were on the same level intellectually and I have been finding, I miss that. Having someone to talk to about topics we both understand. It is rather disappointing to meet someone whom is very smart and did not have the educational opportunities when he was younger but has them now, however, no desire to better himself. This I can accept, the part I cannot accept is to be told to not continue with my education so as to be on the same level and then we could have a relationship. To me, it is far better to accept we are not on the same level and look elsewhere than to be told; "You know I don't have taht kind of learning" "Why do you gotta be over everybodies head?" "Why can't you just be normal?"hug

RE: ANNIVERSARY

Congratulations on your 2nd Anniversary, Joane and Eric. May you have the rest of your lives filled with many more anniversaries! Thank-you for being a beacon of hope to the rest of us.hug

RE: Just friends

Thank-you. Best wishes to you, as well.comfort

RE: Just friends

So true. Some of us experience it more than others. In some ways, it is a blessing in disguise. As a deaf person, I have gotten that from guys that did not know how to have a relationship with a handicapped person. I was grateful they recognized their ability to how far they felt they could handle something. Not always at that particular moment, of course, but later, I was gratful for many various reasons.comfort

RE: why are the good men rejected?

I hope so too, Steve. OP, it is the same for us good women. All good things come in time and the wait is worth it, to find the prize.comfort

RE: The basic flaw to Republican thought in USA

Gardenhackle and Albertaghost and others. Not all poor people don't have jobs or feel that the wealthy should be divested of their wealth. We have jobs. Jobs that do not often pay our needs as they have been cut drastically. Some of us do also have assistance as we do not make enough to survive without it. Many of us are achievers and also go to school to better ourselves and be a part of society that gives back. We also do not drink and piss our money away on cheap booze, drugs or any other vice nor do we hate the wealthy. Yes, some of us do have concerns about the economic condition of our country but that really hardly constitutes a poor me syndrome. Believe me, we would rather stand on our own two feet than to need assistance! We work hard and do our best. Btw, the required $2500.00 start up fee for many investment agencies is beyond most of us otherwise we WOULD have invested our money in a good company fund etc long ago.handshake

RE: Getting Even...

Well said, my friend. I think this is most likely the best post here. Hello to you, Rohan.teddybear

RE: is there any "Men Rights movement group" in your country?

Well legally I don't think they could do anything to you as we have supposed Freedom of Speech.... can't speak for an angry, gun toting, patriotic crowd however . Wouldn't be something I'd attempt in Texas for example... but California maybe. Of course today with Homeland Security, you would probably be photographed and profiled by the FBI and CIA etc. as a trouble making anarchist.

You have to choose your battles and locations .[/q uote] True. I forgot about Homeland Security and FBI/CIA Profiling. Good point.hug

RE: is there any "Men Rights movement group" in your country?

This for many diseases has been the opposite until somewhat recently here. Much more is known about men's biochemistry and was assumed women's and children's were similar for the same diseases and or treatment. Now, it is being found many of the drugs/treatment designed for mendo not work for women or children as we hve different biochemistry. Amazing the rates and paths of growth are different in many parts of the world.teddybear

RE: is there any "Men Rights movement group" in your country?

Not really. However, it will bring troubles of its own, in many ways. I think what you are asking is if we would be imprisoned and sent to years of hard labor as your Nobel Peace Prize Winner was sentenced to? If so, no, we would not be imprisoned like that. However, in some States, one might be arrested and fined for inciting a riot, etc. Some States also require the purchase of a permit to hold a rally or march where such topics as you stated can be and are protested. There would need to be a certain amount of wisdom in the type of protest being carried out in some areas ie, one might not want to hold a rally demanding the elimination of firearms in some States where firearms are a cherished right and where the majority of people own them. Libel, Slander, Defamation of Character WILL get you sued, fined and perhaps Jailed. These can be carried out on all levels of the Law; Local, County, State and pehaps even Federal. In many cases, there will also be involvment of Civil suits on top of the other legal suits. These Civil suits are filed by the individuals, groups, companies, etc. slandered and usually seek finacial recompensation for being defamed. Freedom of speech is a wonderful right. We could not have the various political parties we have nor effect change without it. It is also a great honor and responsibility and this is the part many do not ever think about.
