RE: Can women go with drama in their lives?

Lots of drama which is why I pop in and out of the Forums and blogs.laugh

RE: share, it helps.Mental Health

I can understand that Butterfly and yes there are some decent folk about apart from ranters.grin

My response was to the O.P who stated he was suffering from anxiety so I questioned his wanting to be on here where responses could cause more pressure, though I doubt it somehow.wink

RE: Can women go with drama in their lives?

Tomcatty will be thrilled he loves Corrie.laugh

RE: share, it helps.Mental Health

Surely this is the last place someone with anxieties would want to be.

No I'm not having a dig just trying to put things in perspective, as comments from some posters leave a lot to be desired to be honest. Name calling and debasing someone is hardly good for one's morale.sigh

RE: Palestinians Ramp Up Incitement to Murder Jews

It was only established last year. doh

Deal of the century? Yes, but who for.confused There will never be peace when one nation wants total control and domination in a shared community.handshake

RE: Palestinians Ramp Up Incitement to Murder Jews

I'm pretty sure they are not the only people who would kick Trump with his one sided peace pact in Israel. There are very few countries that support Israel in this conflict. As another poster has stated It's more about greed and power than people's lives.

The violence began last weekend at the Al Aqsa mosque, the third-holiest site in Islam and the holiest site in Judaism.

Israeli police fired tear gas and stun grenades at Palestinians who threw stones and chairs back at them.

At times, police fired stun grenades into the carpeted mosque.

Fact.

RE: Palestinians Ramp Up Incitement to Murder Jews

All during Ramadan too.sigh

RE: Palestinians Ramp Up Incitement to Murder Jews

This is a bit long and convoluted but it might give you some idea as to what has happened in East Jerusalem especially since Jewish occupation.

East Jerusalem has been occupied by Israel since 1967 and has been effectively annexed, in an act internationally condemned, by Israel in 1980. On 27–28 June 1967, East Jerusalem was integrated into Jerusalem by extension of its municipal borders and was placed under the law, jurisdiction and administration of the State of Israel. In a unanimous General Assembly resolution, the UN declared the measures trying to change the status of the city invalid.handshake

Palestinians clash with Israeli police in Jerusalem
Mon, 10 May 2021, 2:14 am
Israel's attorney-general secured a deferment on Sunday of a court hearing on planned evictions of Palestinians in Jerusalem, a session that had threatened to stoke more violence in the holy city and heighten international concern.

The government could now have some breathing room to try to defuse a tinderbox situation in Jerusalem, where the court case and friction during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan have led to clashes between Palestinians and Israeli police.

The Israeli Supreme Court had been due on Monday to hear appeals against the planned evictions of several Palestinian families from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in East Jerusalem, an area captured by Israel in a 1967 war.

A lower court had found in favor of Jewish settlers' claim to the land on which the Palestinians' homes are located, a decision seen by Palestinians as a bid by Israel to drive them from contested Jerusalem.

RE: Palestinians Ramp Up Incitement to Murder Jews

Think you need to study the situation a lot deeper to comprehend the real problems Gal.handshake

RE: Palestinians Ramp Up Incitement to Murder Jews

War crimes and ethnic cleansing springs to mind by right wingers.

A sad state of affairs to see people in their later years being evicted from homes they have lived in all their lives.sigh

RE: March 17

I had a severe case some time back which knocked me sideways Mikey, and frightening when it went South onto the lungs. I was and am healthy so I don't think anyone is immune from flu or Covid.

I can understand people being wary and yes it is a choice we make . As for politics I'll pass on that one.laugh

RE: March 17

Absolutely Mikey, but the flu is mild in comparison to this virus. When someone becomes ill with what is thought to be a cold then ends up on a ventilator a day later and it's switched off 3 weeks later that's not a bad case of flu.sigh

RE: March 17

Paranoia is no protection.grin

RE: March 17

Guess it's down to the individual as to how you respond to advice C.C. Being complacent is not on my agenda. I've too much to live for.

Just lost someone to this virus who had been vaccinated so not everyone gets total immunity .sigh

RE: March 17

Hello Mercedes

To a degree I am in agreement with you. This has been circulating for 18 months and people are still catching it ,even with a vaccination. Some medical know -it -alls would have us believe that we will be Covid free in the UK by August, others that we will never be free. I'm all for caution or we will go into yet another lock down.

We are all susceptible to any air borne infection ,and as you say having been vaccinated does not give us immunity. We all still need to be aware .handshake

RE: March 17

Good question.

Could try confused..comlaugh

I conclude that you have been resurrected . Whoopeehug

RE: Ego And Pride - The Comparison

So why are you logged on here then, arguing the toss and being obtuse. I responded to your insulting remarks addressed to myself.

RE: Ego And Pride - The Comparison

Had a feeling you might bring your pal into the equation.hug

I guess a lot depends on our own self esteem too.handshake

RE: Ego And Pride - The Comparison

True that Bod. I suppose it's more how one looks at one's own behaviour, but I do feel that they are separate emotions. Just my personal take on things.handshake

RE: Ego And Pride - The Comparison

Tell me something I don't already know. with your copy and paste attempts at intelligence. Their electricity comes from Normandie.https://www.jec.co.uk/about-us/

You really are something else aren't you. Hoisted on your own petard as usual. doh

RE: Ego And Pride - The Comparison

I feel that ego is feeling superior to others .. I take pride in myself and my achievements but that does not make me feel superior to others.dunno

RE: Ego And Pride - The Comparison

Give it a rest ,your ego is about to trip you up old man.

I seem to recall you saying that Jersey had it's own electricity company so couldn't get cut off on one of your threads . Did you research that little gem.laugh

RE: Ego And Pride - The Comparison

I don't necessarily agree with that theory Bod.

I tend to think that egoists usually think they are something special, whereas someone with pride is usually taking that line because they might be proud of an achievement or goal that they have set themselves, and I like to think that their pride comes from a good heart, rather than an inflated ego.

This is why I separate the two .handshake

RE: Ego And Pride - The Comparison

Well at least I use my brain and not Google Mr. Copy and Paste.rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Ego And Pride - The Comparison

I don't check on any statements before I post just say it as I see it. Sorry if this offends your ego.grin

RE: Ego And Pride - The Comparison

Hence my post ,which was a thought from my mind not a copy and paste.grin
