RE: Does Anybody Know Why This Carnegie Professor Said This About Queen Elizabeth

I totally understand where you are coming from Jac . We have brown [ though I despise the use of said word to describe a person ] in our family from the war . Never been a problem with acceptance ,but I think the person concerned hasn't had that smooth a journey sadly.sigh

I 'm never bothered by anyone's skin colour and to be honest some "black " men are far more polite than some white men that I have known .handshake

RE: TheDuke of York Reinstated

You misconstrue my points as usual.

I had the greatest respect for our late Queen .a woman of stature ,grace and humanity, the likes of whom will never grace us with her presence as she was the end of an era.

That doesn't mean that I have to have the same respect for all Royals. Same as you don't like me.grin

RE: TheDuke of York Reinstated

I realise that Merc and I totally understand where you are coming from and ,yes ,a face to face would be great as I actually agree with you in some part regards the Monarchy and the Commonwealth as such.handshake

RE: TheDuke of York Reinstated

I live in a Monarchy actually but still have an opinion . We will be going through the same scenario that we have just witnessed sooner than anticipated sadly and that was my point.handshake

RE: TheDuke of York Reinstated

Have my own thoughts too Merc and have huge respect for Wills and Kate {The man who should ,not would ,be King]::thumbsup:

RE: TheDuke of York Reinstated

It's probably William ,Kate and family to do a tour first ahead of the King. Just class them as tourists .grin

RE: TheDuke of York Reinstated

Andrew, 62, and Harry, 38, are no longer senior working royals, the princes wore dark suits to join the procession. Peter Phillips, who walked beside his cousin Prince Harry, also wore a suit as he does not hold any military ranks.

RE: Did you observe the one minute silence tonight for the queen

Queen Elizabeth II leaves behind four dogs - two corgis, one dorgi and a cocker spaniel. The two corgis are named Sandy and Muick, whilst her remaining dorgi Candy is the eldest canine, who is believed to have been around for at least 10 years.

Update :The KIng's 2 rescue Jack Russell's will be moving in to Buckingham Palace.

RE: The man who would be king in pictures..

It's really quite simple actually Name. If you don't like something don't attend.

Anyone's passing whether famous or otherwise is not the time to make an absolute show of yourself. Says more about the protester than it ever does about the person they are protesting about.

There's a time and a place for everything.handshake

A thread of respect for Queen Elizabeth who died this day 8th September 2022

So good to see that there are people in this World who saw our late Queen for who she was , a loyal ,caring responsible woman who took her role seriously for 70 years and as Exred stated right up until 2 days before her passing.

Now that's what I call devotion to her Country.bouquet
