As I understand it, it's after 2 yrs, not 6mths wash2, which means more sense... And even then, they take all kinds of other things into account, in tterms of what each party brings into the relationship, contributions during and so on. But yes, the legal side kicks in at 2yrs.
I am a bit of a free spirit at the best of times and the last few years have seen me design my life in a way that will allow me flexibility to choose where I live....Due to my work, I kinda live out of a suitcase and I am used to traveling.
In the last 12mths I have had to go to Italy 3 times and I now have my own place there. With family being only a 24hr flight away, it's something I am set to do soon anyway, that is, be away from Aussie Land for an extended period, hence 'uprooted'....I have dual Italian-Australian citizenship, so I can work anywhere in the EU, and being professionally qualified, I am immediately eligible to live and work in the U.S. by reciprocal arrangement b/w the 2 govts.
But lately, all I want to do is put myself out to pasture, so please ignore all of the above.
Well, happiness is an emotion and like all emotions, closely linked to what we think. So yes, letting go of fear goes hand in hand with letting go of negative, irrational thoughts...With myself, short of a family tragedy, heaven forbid and may everyone be kept safe, then I'm generally happy. If something starts to bother me I set about to do something about whatever it is. If it is out of my control, then I let it go and focus on what I might be able to do to help make the situation better. Anything else is a waste of energy.
What makes me happy? Just being grateful for all that I have in my life, and all the great things/people that continue to come my way. Just being, really.
Hi Rob, you might not have read the article, where it clearly shows the Chinese people are not happy for all kinds of reasons...The very reason why the govt is demanding that the focus needs to be on increasing happiness.
I love seeing nature at its best...posted this photo I too a couple of weeks ago at a coastal town, from the jetty. The pelican suddenly soared from sitting on the ocean surface, to high into the clouds, then onto the jetty where the aboriginal kids fed it fresh fish they just caught. Just bliss. I took a few pics of Mr Pelican as he stood a couple of feet away from me...he loved the spotlight.
I had no idea hang gliders fly so high!! He was being tossed about by the wind, twirling around through thick cloud, then at the end, simply walking onto terra firma. Amazing stuff!...Thank you for posting! You glide so high up, too???
p.s. ...As is happening in China right now, can you imagine getting a call from the Dept. of Ageing and Health, asking us what can they do to make us happy?
Well, to be happy, means a lot of breathing ...and each time we breathe out we exhale carbon dioxide(CO2)...so I guess happiness will attract the carbon tax.
