What reading appeals to you most?

What have you been reading, oh, daggyone??


p.s. I can't wait to get there...no romp, just sunshine, walking, writing, reading, lots more writing, lots of gasbagging, eating, some vino, lots more walking, exploring, savouring regional delights...

p.s. Berlusconi has already stated that he won't run for office at the next elections, which will please a certain section of the community. Generally that section, however, has no clue as to any constructive alternative. I ahve to say, though, that at least Italy has had the longest running government it's ever known while b. has been on office!...soon it might be back to the 30day musical chairs..

I know the Italians hate the euro and want their lire back as they believe they ahve been short changed since its abolition. I saw some of that for myself when going supermarket shopping, but nowhere near what they claim....No idea what Greece is going to do, as they produce precious little in the scheme of things.

Well, the U.S, can't keep printing money like that in this climate unless they make some major changes, but I have no skill base to make any further comment.

As they say, behind every cloud there is a silver linig...let the Aussie dollar remain strong, then I can live on pittance in Italy.

real estate business and the funeral business go very well together sometimes. Maybe you could diversify. There will always be final estate sales.

Well, I just submitted the proposal. Had I read the fine print, I would have known to submit it at 1.40pm!! ...bah, humbug...he's lucky I got it in at all. I just couldn't get it together. Funny what a deadline can do!!lol

Oh, I do agree with you. I have a small commercial property I am trying to sell in preference to re-leasing it. No firm offer yet since May this year, but at least it's in a 'blue chip' location which is a saving grace. Which reminds me to go and update some details on the net.

Another 70yrs? Could be,lol...but I want to be footlosse and fancy free at the time, not bothering about property!!...;)

An interesting article...if these 'facts' were found to be significant in experimental terms, then it well illustrates my point of never using results of any test, in isolation.


p.s...a test needs to be used within the cultural context for which it was developed, otherwise results are invalid.

I couldn't tell you Tule...what attitude towards future development/new encounters. Some crucial information seems missing. Still, it's way too many years since I even looked at the Luscher and I think I've even lost the colour cards in all my shifts.

What I will say though, whatever it could represent, you would need to use that information along with results of other testing... never rely on only one.

p.s. it would be boring as heck, so the focus will be largely on my observations/experiences in Puglia itself, the people I meet, the myths of that ancient region...generally all the non touristy things...

...Well, I've decided to do a creative non fiction work about my road to Puglia...it will take into account a kind of stolen generation issue as I had no say in coming to Aussie Land, as much as I love this country...

It has created a massive internal conflict about wanting to be in both countries at once. Given that I haven't perfected my teleportation skills, it's not about to happen anytime soon. ...yet I am so drawn to that wonderful part of Italy which, until September last year, we were strangers to each other.

I will let you know when it hits the shelves

I've decided to give myself my one day of the week in which I indulge ...French women do that. They pig out on the pan chocolat, then only cabbage soup the next day, for b/f, lunch and tea!

Sorry, I am all for a National Anthem, but I dislike most of our current one...not to mention that it isn't inclusive of our Indigenous folk, in fact some verses would be outrightly upsetting for them. I vote we come up with a new one.

I lost nearly 2kg in the last 6 days cutting out sugary foods and starchy carbs...tonight we had wood oven pizza(delicious!!)...
