Oh, I know tony...for Blizzard. Nothing wrong with baked beans...I just added my 2 cents in terms of my own taste. But if you buy a bad of dried legumes, as you would know, and mixed beans for winter soups, they are really cheap and go a long way. Eggs are also relatively cheap, and can make yummy omelettes. Also, baked pasta with veges, shepherd's pie with cheaper mince, good ol' chilli con carne(boy, that takes me back!)...and so on...for dessert, baked apple or even stewed. it's not expensive.

If anyone has to have lots of meat, buy in bulk from a farmer's market, and save heaps.

No, I didn't see his tax return. But I personally met that person and was in their home. The three people I speak of are each different and 2 in particular are wealthy, one very much so. But hey, I won't say any more, as it really does digress from the OP. Happy to create some further friendly diatribe on another more relevant thread though. Another time. Hi Leigh.

A bag of lentils will feed them for 2 weeks, and veges are really cheap at the end of the Saturday markets. JMO.

After all, she wants to see you, you parted amicably, you harbor a series of 'what if's'...It makes sense to get on with it and meet her. There is nothing to lose. You don't have to see each other again after that. Go and enjoy.

No. I helped him moved out. Even ordered the removalist for him and helped him pack. I think we even had a meal together that night.

But isn't President Obama trying to change the medical system there? So that everyone is able to access good health care, so that it is not just for the wealthy and/or have good employer supported schemes? I understand there has been a huge outcry at his attempts to do this. I could be wrong.

I have American pals, educated and generating their own good incomes...and they make no bones about the fact that many people just do not pay income tax. I even know one who took on Internal Revenue who have since left him alone, when he told them they cannont constitutionally force him to pay any income tax. And he hasn't, for many years now.

Taxes have been paid since the time of the ancient Greeks. That is largely how governments get their revenue to run their country. (off topic, but Australia might soon introduce yet another tax that most countries do not have and that is, carbon tax.

Essentially, you seem to be taking responsibility for your present demise:....Your screwing up on managing your funds last year, plus since then, an inability to work out a workable budget.

So what exactly is it you are blaming Obama for? (at least that's how it looks to me, that you are).

Why should it be 'loveless'. It might just mean that person isn't the 'soul mate' you'd fallen in love with before, and who then rejected you. You might never again feel the same about anyone else, but that doesn't mean you will stop being able to love. Surely not.

But aren't arranged marriages much the same? Most not only 'settle for' that person, but even make a good life together.

Obviously these people make big adjustments to their mental attitude, which normally doesn't come into play when we choose our own partners.

I daresay there is a lot inbetween finding the love of one's life, and settling for 'second best'.

It's easy to check what internet connection you are using at any one time. At the bottom right of your screen, click on the internet icon and it will show all the connections available. It is the rare tie you will connect to someone else's, unless they do not have a security key attached. It happens though.

Or go to control panel, and click on Internet Connections. It will show you what connections are current. Sometimes, you can be connection to a network, but there is no internet going to you computer. Sorry, but that's the end of my knowledge base!!
